Went in on Jan 31st around 30-40 minutes before closing, so 9:30ish. We were greeted and all was well, they were closing the place down.. cleaning, mopping, etc. Made our orders, went to pick them up & they didn't ask if we wanted any extra sauce on top of the pizza like MOD normally would (buffalo, pesto, ranch). We started walking out & I realized they didn't ask about getting the topping, so I stopped and started to turn around when a gentleman starting yelling profanities and said, "NOW EVERYTHING IS DIRTIED UP AGAIN AFTER I CLEANED IT ALL." I stopped in my tracks and turned back around to head to the door, but he was still hollering the f word amongst other things. We left by 9:42.. 18 minutes before closing. Also got a drink cup, and tried their blackberry lemonade and it tasted like sink water... the tank looked disgusting. Idk, it was just a bad experience and was an overreaction from staff. Upset about dirtying things up when they were still open for a half hour and we were only there for 10-15 minutes.. Pizza was mid. It's usually better from different locations. Won't be back to MOD, especially this location. read more

This is the first time I've gone here. I've heard from friends and family that this place was amazing; so I finally decided to give it a try. The restaurant was very clean and the workers looked very professional. One gal was even into the Christmas spirit and wore a lit up reindeer ears on her head. I felt like the thick crust was really good and making my own made it seem very personable. We also had the cinnamon sticks with cinnamon dipping cream; but it was so good that we ate it before any pictures were even taken. As for the taste of the pizza, it wasn't too bad. It was tasty and edible but it wasn't my most favorite pizza. I felt like Costco's pizza tasted better. Anyway, I would definitely come back; but I think I'll try their salads....I heard it was much better than their pizzas. read more

MOUTHWATERING. OUTSTANDING. DELECTABLE. I've heard, and continue to hear, a lot of good things about MOD pizza. Apparently having a location in Georgetown was a big deal. So, I just had to try it. On Opening Day, I was left with a poor impression. The restaurant acoustics are loud -- I had difficulty hearing the people behind the counter. I also thought there was only one size of pizza available, and did not realize until I paid that there was a smaller size option (at less cost). Then, I made the mistake of ordering a vegan pizza with vegan cheese.... the cheese was not good, so the pizza wasn't very good. All generally trivial things, but I left that day really confused about why people loved this place so much. Yet, I wanted to give them another chance. I've been back a couple times since and those were all MUCH better experiences! Whew! I'm a fan. So. What is MOD anyway? MOD makes individual, artisan-style pizzas. At the counter, you select the crust, sauce, toppings, cheese, etc. that you want (think Chipotle-style), they pop it in the oven, and it's hot and ready within ten minutes. The pizzas are pretty large for a personal pizza and I always end up with extras for another day's meal. Yes! There are two sizes: The MOD, which is an 11-inch pizza for about $9, and the mini, which is 6" for about $5. The ingredients look fresh. The pizza is made fresh. The pizza tastes fresh. And guys, you can pile on as many toppings as you want and it's the same price regardless -- whether you make your own or request one of the signature pizzas. Actually, I'm not even sure the point of the signature pizzas. Even when I order them, they still ask me if I want to customize/change/add anything. I really like the Dillon James pizza, and I just add some sausage to it. It's my go-to pizza. (I'm drooling just writing about this. I may have to go there for lunch today.) You can also get/make salads and sides of cheesy garlic bread, garlic strips, and cinnamon strips. YUM. Drink offerings are typical fountain drinks and... milkshakes! I tried a vanilla milkshake sample on opening day and it was delicious. There's also an app. I probably won't download it, but you can order pizza online and pick it up at the counter. I believe you can earn points, too. Anyway. I'm definitely a fan of MOD. My favorite pizza ever? Nope, nothing compares to the classic Chicago-style stuffed pizza that I can get back at home, and I'll still crave large, gooey pizzas here, but it's still pretty darn good. read more

The service was ok, the food is not good. There is no communication it seems like and the chick that made my salad just walked off after i paid and just didn't say anything so I'm like do I wait here?? Or... ?? this is the 3rd time I've tried this place since they opened and I'm just not impressed. It's a bunch of teenagers running the place it seems like and I overall was not impressed with the food or the customer service. read more

I had heard Mod Pizza had a gluten free crust that was good. I knew the next tim I was in town I needed to try it out. Having recently been diagnosed with celiac disease I am uncertain about placees to try. When I ordered it the young lady immediately asked if it was for an allergy or a preference. Because I said and allergy she stopped and changed gloves and alerted the next person in line as well As the oven guy. I really appreciated the seriousness they took on my order. I will be back. Pizza was also delicious. I will keep this in mind when the pizza craving hit. read more

Reminds me of &Pizza which I loved back in VA. Solid pizza and friendly staff. We were there late so it was quiet but a nice atmosphere. Going to have to experiment to see if I can recreate my favorites. Only complaint was the "drizzle" was a little heavy handed and overpowered the flavors. Will definitely come back to try out more. read more

First visit to this place and my wife was the only order placer so her thoughts follow. She like how the items looked fresh. Liked how friendly the staff was. Her pizza was quickly prepared and baked and was very tasty and she ate every bite. Craft sodas were a plus too. What wasn't good was the cleanup guy doing trash patrol and then touching the tops of every cheese and pepper flakes shakers. Worrisome for us and is against the health code. The place is new and more training I am sure is coming for the crew so will avoid the shakers but will not avoid the pizza. read more

A wonderful pizza place. This has quickly become my favorite pizza place in Georgetown, and on my short list of favorite pizza places overall. Most times I've been here, the line has been almost out the door, it's definitely the hot new place in Georgetown to eat. One very nice thing about it is that all toppings are the same cost, if you are super hungry and want to load your pizza up with a bunch of toppings, it's the same price as a plain cheese pizza. The food is extremely high quality, especially for the cost. They also have a remarkably broad selection of toppings. I do appreciate that their website has a detailed breakdown of the ingredients of all their toppings, which is very good for people with allergy concerns. Service is pretty good overall. I must have eaten here a dozen times already (seriously, the pizzas are almost addictively good), and service is pretty good. I've had a few glitches with employees that were new and still learning the ropes, but that's understandable. When my wife tried the food here, her response to me was: "Honey, delete the Papa John's app off your phone, we won't be needing it anymore." She's right, two personal pizzas here feed as many as a large delivery pizza, are higher quality and a little cheaper. They don't deliver, which is the only downside, but if you live pretty close to them, it doesn't matter. read more

Apparently during the area trick or treating time was perfect. The staff is young but super polite and respectful. Pricing on pointZ Georgetown has needed a Mod pizza for some time. Kinda over rated. Whatever you do, dont call in an order or place an online order. You will stand there. Stand there some more. Everyone tripping over you at the register. After 20 minutes a manager will eventually ask you whats wrong. All you want to do is pick up the order you paid for. 5 minutes later they hand you youre cold hard pizza. Never again. Mod Pizza in Georgetown KY just opened yesterday and I was there after the grand opening celebration. The staff were very friendly and eager to serve- A+! The pizza tasted pretty good. It was hot, cheese was melted but not dried up, veggies were fresh. I had a BBQ Pizza: Chicken, red onions, mozzarella, and I substituted pineapple for the Gorgonzola. The BBQ sauce tasted very very (too) sweet and texture was like glue- next time I will ask whether they use a high fructose corn syrup in their BBQ. The chicken also seemed processed, like the chicken used at Subway. The crust was the thin type, almost like a cracker, which makes it seemed lighter- a good thing for lunch. They offer a gluten free crust, not sure whether they have a dairy free cheese. The pizza also cooked very quickly! You could easily order this during a lunch break and not worry about time to get your food. The tables were being cleaned very quickly. I hope that aspect of the staff performance doesn't change! Brewed unsweetened ice tea was good. The atmosphere is not a cozy dining experience. And it's not supposed to be. It's cool sleek, one step above fast food- so don't go with the hopes of an old fashioned pizza parlor. Pricing was great for fast pizza. I got a mini and drink for under $10. The biggest thing that I didn't like was the obnoxious chanting of "hello" every time someone walked through the door. The lead person would yell hello, and then the dozen other employees would yell hello. You need to rethink this. On a busy day, or during lunch hour, maybe yelling hello every 15 minutes or half hour would suffice? Or maybe every 15 minutes, lead yells Mod, and the gang can yell pizza. But maybe the goal is to not have patrons linger longer than necessary? I think the restaurant will do well in Gtown! read more

We placed an order online and paid online. Once we got there to pick it up, it was a complete mess. They literally watched us stand there at the counter for 30 minutes before they could be bothered acknowledging our existence. Needless to say, our order was old and cold by this time. No apologies, no coupons to encourage us to come back, they just made us feel like it was our fault. Never again. If you want to see a business fail, bring it to Georgetown. Our first time last week a friend took me. What an experience! Michelle was so helpful, friendly patient with me being a first-timer walking me through different options and giving me suggestions. Amazing service and amazing food. So when we finally left I decided to take my husband home a pizza Kristen did my second pizza, she was so friendly and sweet and helpful with help picking him out different sauces and toppings.
