The Hartland location employees are always polite when I come to pick up my order. My order is always ready at the pick up time I was given. I've never had to wait for my food. My food is always delicious, hot and correct. The pricing is the only thing I would have to complain about. Their prices have always been higher than other pizza chains. read more

Just ordered a large thin crust pizza with extra sauce & cheese for over $31. We asked for it to be delivered at 5:30pm. It showed up at 4:45pm and was the last pizza on the stop. Was the worst dry pizza I've ever had in my life!!!!! Every time I come to Lexington I have to have this pizza!! Today I got the plant base pepperoni cauliflower crust pizza. Only on one size but it was still very filling. Half of the pizza was plant base pepperoni. Lots of it too. Very tasting full of lot of favor. Will order it again. Since Louisville don't Donatos Pizza I took a medium half cheese and half plant base pepperoni home. Don't know how it will reheat. But we will find out. read more

More like a two and a half. That "Smokey" mozzarella cheese is off putting to me. Obviously there have to be customers that are fond of it or Donatos would not exist. Good service, hot and fresh pizza but that cheese has more smoke taste in it than most bbq places. Maybe offer an option of smoked or unsmoked mozzarella cheese. Yes Grande' cheese for the unsmoked if you do decide to do this. That cheese is great!! read more

The front desk staff at our hotel recommended Donato's to us. It was a short walk from the hotel. The staff at Donato's was friendly and our pizza was ready quickly. We ordered a plain cheese pizza and it was surprisingly flavorful for "just a plain cheese pizza"!! I'm not sure if it was the sauce or the cheese, but there was a slight smoky flavor to the pizza. It was, also, cut into smaller squares/strips instead of the typical triangles..."Chicago style". I am not often in Lexington, but I would definitely go back to Donato's!! read more

I called at 4:30pm to place an order and the person who answered the phone could not get my order right and put me on infinite hold. I called a second time and was able to place my order with better success. However, the coupon code I wanted to use was not in their system. The coupons were missing one digit and it took forever for them to sort that out. It is almost an hour later and the pizza is still not here even though I live .3 miles from the restaurant. This was my go to pizza but obviously they do not have the staff to run it. Note: the manager called me and explained that all calls go to a corporate call center so this review is really towards corporate and not this restaurant. The manager was nice and it made me feel better knowing the issue was not from this restaurant. We will continue to order from them except we will now go through the option that goes to the manager. read more

After a long day at work, when the last thing you want to do is go home and prepare a meal for the kids, this is a really good option. I like simple pizza. I try and keep the toppings to a minimum. A good cheese pizza is often all I want, and they have a thin crust with extra cheese that is quite tasty. I also like to eat at the restaurant. I've never really liked ordering take out for home eating. If I'm going to pay someone else to make my food, why not avoid the mess at home as well? So I appreciate the tables at this Donato's. It is a tiny area; one might say cramped, but it does the job. It's nice and quiet enough that every time I've been in there, there is at least one person eating a pizza and reading a book. Additionally, the decor inside lends itself to a little Christmas cheer during the holiday season, as it is bright and red and festive. My kids like it here as well, and that is one of the main reasons I like coming. I hear people say the pizza is a little pricey. I don't deny that, but it is better quality in my opinion than a lot of the "two pizzas for $10" places. You ain't gonna get that deal here, but what you will get is really good pizza with a pleasant atmosphere. read more

The meh pizza most definitely does not make up for the rude condescending staff. I spoke with a Round Bearded fellow at the counter who spent our entire conversation glaring at me angrily, as if me ordering a pizza was the most offensive thing he could imagine. I asked him the size of the smallest pizza they offered, he sighed with great disgust at the questioned, and nodded at a few half hazardously placed boxes of varying sizes behind him without saying a word. So I sarcastically asked for whichever was the smallest and to add a medium water. He didn't say a word, typed up my order, handed me the recipe and walked away... when I got my food he pointed to the mini water cups and walked back to the kitchen. I had to flag down someone from the back to hand me a medium sized cup to take my water to go. The pizza was meh and the service was appalling. read more

We have been ordering pizzas from this location for years. We have never had a bad experience until yesterday. We use the online ordering all the time with consistently good results. HOWEVER, my spouse ordered a small cheese pizza for our daughter for delivery yesterday. The pizza arrived on time. But when we opened the box, the pizza was way over cooked to the point it was inedible. (See picture) we saved the pizza and took it back to the store today. The manager that we spoke to was indifferent to the point of being curt with us. He refunded our money but his demeanor was curt to the point of rudeness. He even said it was SUPPOSED to look like that. With all the other good pizzas available in our delivery area, these here-to-now loyal customers will never be back. read more

There are too many pizza places around and is not worth the price. When the pizza did arrive the drivers car window was smashed out . He said he was in a accident. Love Donatos Pizza, but this particular one is horrible. They guy who answered the phone when I ordered my pizza was incredibly rude. No big deal though, we're showing up for pizza, not to make new friends right? When I got there to pick it up, people were standing around waiting for pizzas that were late or incorrect. Literally every order that came out was messed up or super slow. I waited 30 minutes longer than my promised pick up time, and watched several people get really upset who had waited longer than me. Good food and great service even when they're busy. Every time I come here it's been a pleasurable experience. Of all the times I've been here my order has only been messed up twice and those two times I was either reimbursed and/or got a free pizza. I wasn't upset or even aware they had messed up and they were kind enough to point it out and take care of it without me asking. Their pizza is good. The variety of choices is decent. With that being said, their delivery service is AWFUL! The first time we ordered it was a Friday night and very rainy so I gave them the benefit of a second try (despite it taking 2 hours to arrive). However it is a sunny Sunday evening and we are STILL waiting at the 1 hour point. I'm going back to ordering from Joe Bologna or Mellow Mushroom. They don't deliver, but at least they are quick and their pizzas are far superior to Donatos. read more

Very disappointed in the service yesterday. I know staff can't do anything about having power from 4-8pm, but I placed an online order at 12:45pm for an 8:30pm pick up and manager claimed ticket didn't print till power was restored. Was in town for a golf tourney w family. We stayed at a hotel just across the street from Donatos. Ordered 2 salads , Asiago breadsticks and an Italian Sub sandwich. Delivered to our door in about 20 min. Salads were fresh and crispy. Sub was hot n fresh. Asiago Cheese breadsticks were good . We don't get to eat at different places unless we travel , this was a fresh change . Surprisingly good. They included utensils, packets of grated cheese and crushed red pepper, plenty of napkins, and a friendly delivery guy . Would order out or eat here again for sure !! Great job guys! read more

So far this is actually the best delivery pizza I have had in Lexington. Over all the ingredients seem ok but expect their pepperoni and sausage to be very mild in flavor, you will notice the lack of flavoring right away. The default crust would be considered a thin crust at other chains which I actually prefer. So far this is my default pizza delivery place. read more
