We ordered take out on 12/22/2025. I ordered the 4 piece Cajun grilled chicken with a side salad and dumpster wedges. Wife ordered boneless wings. The salad was much bigger than expected, my wife and my self shared. The grilled chicken was not flavorful at all with the Cajun seasoning, the dipping sauces were just ok nukiller, habernero mango and garlic parm. My wife was not over thrilled with her wings either and the dumpster wedges were a little sloppy and tasted ok. Service took over 20 mins from order too handing it too use. I will say the food was hot and fresh, salad was great and bright and fresh. Will probably visit again but it will be awhile. read more

Roosters Restaurant is a great place to grab wings in Kentucky. The restaurant was big and reasonably priced and the service is excellent. The inside of the restaurant is clean but smells of bleach and fried food. The options were many but this place is a wings place so we got orders of boneless wings with hot sauce that wasn't hot and a mix of garlic and dragon sauce. The wings are great but the sauce was just ok. The fries are sub par but if you get the loaded ones they are more entertaining. Came to roosters for a nice meal and my friend found a huge bug in his old fashioned. Told our waitress and she replaced it and informed the manager. The manager, Brett, never came by our table to apologize or even speak to us. When he got his bill they hadn't given any type of discount. We asked Brett if there was anything he could do and he said that it was illegal, then ran off and hid and would not come out to speak to us again. My husband and I tried Roosters for the first time last week and were pleased with the food and service. Our waitress, while busy, still managed to do a great job taking care of us and the menu has something for everyone. The Mac-n-cheese bites are my daughters favorite. If you aren't in the mood for wings the pizzas or Buffalo chicken wrap are other great options. Just wanted to list a few things more enjoyable than eating this establishments undercooked doughy "pizza" I use the word pizza loosely, looked like someone clubbed a dough ball into the shape of a circle. This is the most poorly ran restaurant in Georgetown. Had a very expensive pick up order. They got things wrong. Left out things from the order. Went in and told them. They made me wait 30 minutes for a salad and 5 wings that they left out of my order. Worst service ever. Why? I should have looked at the bag they handed me with my missing order items. They didn't give me the 5 wings. So, it took kitchen staff and management 30 minutes to make a salad with no chicken. Don't get a big order here. If you want to order for 6 people, that's to many for kitchen management to handle. To make things worse this order was for my moms birthday. Roosters deserves a zero star rating for ruining our birthday meal. They didn't even seem that sorry about messing up the order or taking 30 minutes to make a salad. And the manager called me a liar. You know what, maybe he was having a bad day. But when you mess up an order and are mad a customer wants the food they paid for, that's TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM ROOSTERS MANAGEMENT! I am always willing to be fair and wait on food. Mixups happen. Things get left off of orders. I've visited Roosters several times and love their hand breaded fried chicken fingers... They are huge! A full order (4 chicken fingers) can feed me for days...I have also tried the boneless wings with a few different sauces (69 cent wings on Monday night!) but I much prefer the chicken fingers. As Roosters slogan states, they are indeed a fun and casual joint. We arrived on a Sunday when football was starting for the day, they had plenty of TVs to watch your favorite team. Even the TVs listed which game they were airing and when! This is definitely a place sports fans go, there was a Packer fan sitting at the bar complete with the famous Cheese Head! The bar is open seating but the black chairs are a little slippery, I felt like I was going to slide off. I do wish the outside patio was open, that was a major draw when we drove by the previous day. Not sure if it doesn't open for the afternoon or because it was raining. Service was quick and friendly, even the food came out incredibly fast! We started with the dumpster fries which was curly fries, creamy cheese, bacon, shredded cheese, jalapeño, tomatoes, green onions and a side of the dumpster sauce. The dumpster sauce has a distinct flavor of cayenne and paprika. The dish was good but I wish the fries themselves were more seasoned. My husband ordered the Nu-Killer wings, the spiciest wings they had! Sadly, for him, he wished they had more kick to them, he didn't think they were remotely spicy. The wings were giant which was definitely not expected! I ordered the chicken wrap with a side of spicy ranch and buffalo sauce. The chicken tasted really fresh! I do wish they gave an option to sauce the chicken in a wing sauce of choice and then adding to the wrap, having that side of buffalo sauce took the chicken wrap to a whole other level. One of my biggest restaurant pet peeves is hidden, undisclosed charges. Seriously?! A wing restaurant charging for extra dressing and sauce?! Besides that and the bad and slow service and wait to receive our meals, it wasn't really all that bad. It's located in the newer part of Georgetown, near Kroger. It's very accessible to Lexington too. We started with an order of fried pickles, which came out piping hot and excellent. We still had ranch left but the waitress took it away before we received our meals... or else we wouldn't have requested the ranch once we got our meals. I ordered the quarter pound burger. The menu did indicate that the burgers can come with "the works upon request" but I didn't request it, however, my burger was topped with mayo and mustard. I despise mustard, so that was a huge disappointment, but we'd already waited so long for our meals, I sucked it up. My husband ordered the rooster's nest and it indicated that it was topped with your choice of sauce. I requested the sauce on the side and was charged for it. Geeze! They were pretty crowded to be that hard up. They lost me. Even if my food was up to par, I wouldn't return in part due to the ridiculousness of them charging for the ranch and sauce. read more

However, if you're looking to eat chicken wings, then this is not the place. I had the garlic traditional wings and I guess because it was a buttery sauce, it left the chicken a little too soggy for me. Taste was ok. Waiter was very nice. Side salad, ok. My friend got the medium flavored traditional wings and shared the same sentiments as I did. He thought the caesar salad lacked dressing-it looked pretty dry. I went to Rooster's with my wife to watch the UK basketball game. Go Cats! We arrived about 30 minutes before the game and were told there was going to be a 35 minute wait. 55 minutes later and after the game started we were finally seated. I know it's difficult on game day to determine who is staying and who is leaving but it is better to overestimate. Our server was nice but our food took exceptionally long to arrive at our table and once it did it had already cooled to the point where I couldn't tell how long it had been sitting in the window. A mediocre chicken joint. It's okay, but nothing exceptional. The upside is that it's clean and neat, the food tends to come out pretty fast, it's got a fairly diverse menu (albeit focusing highly on chicken there are other things there if you insist on something else), and the prices are pretty reasonable for a "sit down" restaurant. It's a chicken place with weak wings though, the wings are always tough and rubbery, and if you have non-wing chicken dishes, the breading tends to come off very easily. For a place that focuses on chicken, you'd think you could get some good chicken here. Service is hit-or-miss, most of the time the servers are at least reasonably attentive, but not really personable or sociable. Even when the place is mostly empty they aren't going to strike up a conversation or do anything beyond the basics of service. . .and sometimes they are more to just slap a check on the table and walk off. I've eaten there a half-dozen times, and about half the time I've felt it's worth it, and half the time I've wondered why I bothered. I've had co-workers who have had horrible experiences there and I've had more than one time when they've refused a working lunch there because of it though. read more
