I won't be back to this location again. An employee named Dan was super rude to me for no reason, and i was shaking when I went to leave because I was so upset. He must have been having a bad day, I get it. But don't attack innocent bystanders. I'm just a mom, trying to grab some pizzas for my family(I didn't bring my kids with me). I'm no Karen, I didn't even speak to you, I was just nicely waiting and looking at my phone. I wasn't irritated that my pizzas were late for pickup, nothing. I was just glad to be out of the house. I've never had someone treat me like that. I'm still shocked. Side note: I was super careful to make sure I wasn't in the way of anyone getting drinks, anyone checking out, anyone looking for a table. I was just minding my own business and trying to be courteous to others. Dan- if you read this, I hope you have a better day tomorrow man. But you really ruined my night and I felt like maybe a review like this would help you see that your words matter. The world is a mess, we all could use more kindness. read more

It honestly pains me to give MOD 3 stars instead of 5 but I have a few reasons for the rating- The first one is that there is ALWAYS a line. I've been there 5 or 6 times and have spent anywhere from 10-20 minutes in line, every time. A couple of times the line was so long people were waiting out the door and another time there was only a few people in front of me but I was still waiting forever. And that's only talking about the wait to order, after that you can expect another 10-20 minutes waiting for your pizza to be cooked. Another negative is that there isn't much other than pizza and salads. If you're like me and want the whole breadsticks, pizza, and desert- this isn't the place to go. They do offer a cinnamon pizza type thing for dessert as well as their version of breadsticks but do yourself a favor and don't add either of them. They taste like thin crust with some cinnamon or cheese thrown on it and a little bit of burnt just for extra flavor... not too tasty. My last major complaint is that it's hard to find a table that doesn't have old empty plates or cups on it. One of the times I was there they had someone going around and picking up plates and cups, almost like a busser? But that was just one time. All the other times I've gone I've either stood up and waited for my pizza or I've pushed aside dirty plates and sat down. Standing up and waiting wouldn't be a big deal (besides the fact that you just spent forever waiting to order) but there isn't really anywhere to do this that doesn't make you feel like your standing in the middle of everyone's way. On the plus side, their pizzas and salads are so good! They have very simple recipes but you can add anything you want to your order and they have almost anything you can think of to add on! Their salads taste fresh and they aren't just packed full of greens with a few extras on top. And bonus, you can walk out of there with a mini pizza and salad for 500 calories. So the food is great and you don't feel like you need to change into sweatpants when you're done with your meal! read more

Was disgusted and left after watching the same employee fold boxes, clean, handle cash, and the touch our food repeatedly with her bare hands without ever washing or even leaving the front area. When I asked for our pizzas to be remade, she left to get a manager who was quite rude. I left and called the health department. Gross. read more

I have eaten at the Richland MOD pizza several times. It is good pizza with what appears to be fresh toppings. This is to write of odd and disappointing things I often find there. The guys are the worst pizza makers by far. Often they seem to be very interested in just how fast they can do it and no regard for quality of any kind. It has happened with a female once as well. Next cheese seems to be the only item they make a point of applying on the whole pizza. I always have to ask for more of one or more toppings so that it is "on" the entire pizza. Sometimes they seem rather bothered by my request for more where there isn't any. My last pizza was MOD size and at least a fist sized gap in the center of the pizza was blank. No toppings. onions were put on one side but not the other. These things are very common and annoying especially when they act irritated to make it right. Why would I want say, a peperoni pizza and not have it on most bites? Onions but I really only want that flavor added to half the pizza. come on! unless its ordered to be on half or some portion then include it on the whole thing. I got Canadian bacon he put abut 4 pieces on. and then moves on to other toppings. I asked for more and he gives me a look and grabbed a handful and threw it on. the pieces were stuck together and so they were very thick, just too thick. I love the fire oven and what it can do for the crust but it often comes out doughy. These are primarily kids that work there and it shows. read more

A custom thin crust pizza for $8.....yes please. I went three days in a row when I first found it!! Amazing pizza...not just for the price...just amazing pizza. The local joints around town want to charge me $17-25 for their brick oven pizza. I can go to Mod and get a better pie for $8 bucks!! You should also try the lemonade too. read more

This pizza isn't worth the wait (which was short) or the cost (it's cheap) I can dip crackers in warm pizza sauce at my house and have a better experience. There are few good pizza joints in the TriCities, but none compare with how bad Mod Pizza is. read more

I am addicted.....this is some of the very BEST pizza I have ever tasted. You get to choose any and all toppings for your creation. I added garlic butter on top of my whit and red sauce, then all the amazing toppings. After it was cooked and ready to go I asked the gal to add some more garlic butter to my pizza. It was AMAZING!! The wife and I have both eaten here twice. The first time, I started with the 11" Mad Dog and added onions and green peppers, and she assembled her own of the same size with red sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, ground beef and tomatoes. They didn't take long at all to bake, they cut it into four pieces, called our name and we dug in. We could both pick up our slices, the crust was crispy and well done and the ingredients were fresh. I ate all of mine, the lady ate half of hers and brought home the rest. They were good enough that we proclaimed this place a keeper. The next time in, I again started with the Mad Dog added the extras I ordered last time with the addition of spicy sausage, extra cheese, garlic mushrooms and yellow peppers. The wife ordered the same as last but ordered extra sauce, extra cheese and extra ground beef. Again, pizzas were done well and quickly, but when we went to dig in, it was harder to pick up due to the additional toppings. I could manage mine, but had to go back and get the server to cut hers into 8 pieces for easier handling. I finishes 2/3 of mine, and she finished half, we brought the rest home. Bottom line - both ways were good, but your pizza can go from a pick-up slice to having to use a fork depending on how much you pile on. (and from witnessing other pies being ordered, there didn't seem to be a limit on ingredients) It's good, it's quick, it's close, It's a keeper ! read more

Worst experience ever. Came here for lunch all but two employees were rude. The two guys making pizza were great the girls however were super rude. I asked for no tomatoes on my salad and then when she put tomatoes on it she got visibly annoyed. At first, the menu and ordering can be a little awkward or intimidating because there are so many choices. Prices are not bad, about $10. The crust is thin and uniform in size. I love marinara, pesto, basil, salami, blue cheese, and mozzarella. You customize (b-y-o) your personal pizza, so if you don't like it, it's on you! Lol. I made the mistake of overloading it once. The pizzas go in the oven and yumminess comes out! Ask for your pizza to be cut into 8ths tho for convenience of portion size. I don't usually order salads from restaurants, but I heard it was good. The garlic strips are okay. They have pellet ice and lemonades which I like. Sometimes the lines are long depending on the rush, but once your pizza is ready to go, you won't have to wait too long. To-go boxes are conveniently accessible. The crew is usually upbeat. The atmosphere is casual, somewhat hipster, ok clean. There's outdoor seating as weather permits. Overall a pretty good place for a date, hanging out with friends, or to take the family. read more

I AM FURIOUS. Originally, my friends and I looked up the close time online and it said that these guys closed at eleven. Yet, when I asked one of the workers what time they closed they said they closed at ten, which was fine at first. HOWEVER, when we left we looked at the time on the door it said that they closed at eleven. This is upsetting because we were unable to have our other friends join us for dinner and we felt that we were being kicked out because the workers didn't want to do their job. This is my new favorite pizza chain, and if I lived closer to this place and was always at home, I would be in trouble from constantly eating here! They make individual sized pizzas, much like Subway is an individually built sandwich place. The lines are pretty long, but other than that, I can't say anything bad about it.
