On a visit to Utah and this is my first visit to a Mod Pizza. You enter and they make your pizza Ala Cart or you can choose from their menu. The service was excellent as not many customers and we did not have to wait in line at all. My grandson chose the toppings and sauce he wanted and it was made right in front of us and then wood fired. It's been awhile so I thought I'd update. The guy I interacted with was super nice and helpful. I told him I'm only gluten intolerant so no need to go crazy with cross contamination but he still changed his gloves and wiped everything down. Employees and NOT practicing safe food handling measures. Ordered a pizza and while the employee was waiting to take it out of the oven, he picked his nose. After my pizza was done he used that hand to cut it. Let's just say, I lost $10+ dollars that day. Made in slow time...Only 2 employees and nothing was prepped. A girl with colorful hair was making each pizza by herself- kept forgetting our order. Took 5 min each time to put gloves on after each customer. Meanwhile girl with two braids at the oven texting on her phone and smiling to herself the whole time, completely oblivious. Girl with braids friends came in and then she starts chatting with them. Girl at oven wouldn't put our pizzas in until the whole order was done... a couple walked out and said they had been waiting in line and couldn't stand it any longer. Pretty happy with this chain. Price for size and quality and whatever toppings you want all at the same price, definitely other personal pizza chains can't compare. I will say you have to find what you like here. Their basic cheese or Margherita pizza is great if unsure. But some of their others can be tempting and sometimes a let down. I found my go to though, the Tristan, but add marinara base and balsamic glaze on top. Maybe an extra veggie or 2. Oh, and the No Name Cake aka copycat Ding Dong! Store was very busy. Only had two young teenagers working. They couldn't keep up. The tables were disgusting. It was obvious they haven't had time to clean any of them. Had to clean our own table. Now, pizza is her first choice, as long as it is Mod Pizza. She is very partial to the cauliflower crust on which she builds a vegetarian pizza that she greatly enjoys. I am the opposite! So, I build a meat pizza! To prevent waste or overeating, I choose the very small pizza. Even though its small, after adding cheese, meats, sauce, onions, tomatoes, olives, and peppers, it is very filling and satisfying! Unless we arrive at noon, we seldom wait in line very long. Inside or outside seating is offered. The building is brick, modern, clean and comfortable. we usually choose to eat here but my wife often takes half of her pizza home to eat later. This was our third time at the MOD Pizza Riverton location. We haven't had a bad experience yet. Our pizzas have consistently been good. This was our first time ordering online for pickup. Our order was ready within 15-20 minutes, as estimated at the time of our order. As far as our pizzas go- the Lucia pizza was okay, but the ricotta wasn't our favorite. The spicy Calabrian chili red sauce is good if you're in the mood for a kick. The crust and pepperoni were excellent. We will do the Mad Dog instead the next time we are looking for a pepperoni pizza. The Caspian + jalapeños, pineapple, and bacon was an interesting combination of strong flavors. As always, the Gorgonzola was sharp and the jalapeños were hot. We could have done with less BBQ sauce, but can't really complain about that. All in all, we would recommend MOD Pizza if you're looking for something different than Domino's or Papa Murphy's. read more
