The last time I went there I ordered in the parking lot on the app and then walked in. Obviously it wasn't going to be ready so I sat there and waited. I was sitting there for about 15 min. It was past the time they said it was going to be ready I asked they hadn't even making it. I work in that little mall and by the time I left without my pizza I had 3 minutes till I had to clock in. That same day my manager was telling about how on multiple occasions he was sitting in the line now one else was there and was waiting to be served for about ten minutes. We stopped here today on a whim. I have wanted to eat here since it opened. My hub doesn't really care for most pizza (Crazy, right?) Everyone says hi when you come in (Waffle House-esque) I love that. We were asked if we had been here before, we said no, so we were given a run down of how to order. We both got 6 inch pies. You are given a lot of toppings to choose from. Hon likes Hawaiian, that's what he got. I opted for 2 kinds of meat, 2 types of garlic and 2 types of tomatoes and mushrooms!! The mod pizza is by far the best in Salem. The brick oven cooks it to perfection and the toppings are always fresh and plentiful. Not enough can be said about one price for any toppings you want. Super friendly staff and happy customers make the atmosphere terrific. My son and I are hooked on this place. For less than the cost of one gluten free pizza at Garlic Jims or Figaros we can get individual pizzas that are much tastier. I love the garlic and basil of the Dillon James pizza and he likes the meaty Mad Dog. It's usually only ten minutes from when we come in the door to when we get our pizza. read more

I used the online order form for our first trip to this new place in order to pick up dinner to take to our friends' house. Ordered 3 pizzas plus garlic strips at 3:42 to be picked up at 4:45. We arrived at 4:44, and none of the pizzas had even been started. It was not a busy afternoon and there was plenty of staff on hand. 15 minutes later, we had our pizzas. Pizza was good, but I can't recommend ordering online until they get that aspect figured out. read more

THE Subway for pizza. It's "make your own way" sorta thing. Went just after 1pm, and it was still fairly busy. So you line up, and think about what pizza you want to create. They also give you pre-selected #'d options if your brain can't handle all the choices. I got the number 8, minus the chicken. It had buffalo sauce, and I added extra cheese (still not cheesy enough, lesson learned). Within 8 minutes of it being made, they call your name and you can go pick it up hot and fresh. Why only 3 stars? I thought the crust was subpar and hard on the edge and soft in the middle (prolly a result of their quick baking technique). I went with Erin H., and she mentioned it'd be a great place to bring kids...because the cost is excellent and the "Subway" method used can be "fun" if you're into that sorta thing. They do not have enough seating inside, as we had to fight for a table. Literally. Located just next to Jersey Mikes, which I love...so was wishing had gone there after we left...but a certain Erin H HATES that place, so oh well. Whatever! Would I return here? DO NOT ORDER ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE!! They cannot seem to get online/phone orders right!! Every time we pick up our order, the paper shows the correct order, but the pizzas and salads are never right. It is not that hard!! We used to really like getting MOD, but we have had SO many screwed up orders, that I just never want to go there and deal with it. Unless you can go and stand in line, which is usually backed up to the door, it is not worth it! I've been to MOD three times so far and will definitely go back. I have not had to wait in line long and my orders come out so quickly. Love that I can add whatever toppings I desire. I thought I would miss Pieology from my last place of residence but MOD is by far the better pizza place with more variety of toppings and sauces. Out of all the Mods from California to Oregon this is by far the most on point mod there is. The two workers Alliey and Ashlea were the most helpful and attentive to my order. This mod was clean and had alot of options as to how a pizza or salad should be made. They even gave me a sticker to put my name up on the wall.... Really like this place. It's newly discovered for us, the only downside is the wait in line times. I wish they would have a separate bar of fixings in the back to put together the online orders, I think that would speed things up a bit. It's like subway but for pizza! The pizza crust was really thin but the toppings are good ! It just depends if you like thin or thick crust on your pizza. Absolute chaos. Went on a Saturday night so we were prepared for it to be busy. My husband ordered the Winston and I got a Caesar salad pizza. The kids working the line, while very nice, seemed to have an inordinately difficult time keeping the orders straight (simply writing the order down on a ticket would resolve this) and repeatedly held up different Caesar salads asking if they were mine. It's your restaurant--how am I supposed to keep track of my order? The poor structure continues at the bottlenecked register, where you repeat your order to the person ringing you up (again, could be expedited by a ticket for the group). Last time i went in, they didn't even cover 3/4 of the crust with sauce. I had to tell them to do it right. I asked for cheese - the kid working barely put any on. I had to tell her to do it right. I asked for pepperoni. She put six slices on the entire pizza. Same with the ham. I had to tell her to do it right. She passed it off to the next employee. She threw the veggies on one side of the pizza with no distribution. I had to tell her to spread it somewhat evenly with each of the four veggies I had on there. I wasn't rude about it and I know you tell them how to make it but they shouldn't be this careless and oblivious. This is the new norm for Mod Pizza. I won't even order over the phone because I know I'll get a terrible pizza. When you watch them like a hawk they make a good product.
