1 for quality of gluten free crust options. They taste like cardboard, especially the cauliflower one. Dont do it. I ordered a cauliflower crust with garlic and olive oil at the base plus Olives Garlic Rub Spinach Arugula Basil Light Mozzarella Asiago Parmesan Mushrooms Pineapple Red Onions Black Olives GreenPepper Roasted Peppers Roasted Broccoli Tomatoes Oregano and Salt & Pepper. If the crust was good then this review would be a 4 and only a 4 because service was lifeless. Typical in this day and age of hourly labor structures, more often than not sadly. The cashier who was handling cash was also placing pizzas in the oven without washing their hands. No gloves either. In addition, each pizza order is identified by a numbered metal marker that's placed directly on the pizza. I watched one of these metal markers fall onto the floor. The little chocolate cake was really good, albeit expensive at $4 for one. Paid $51.00 for this and 2 small drinks. As a vegan, Mod Pizza is a solid spot. They give you options, however, the only "meat" they have is the vegan sausage but aside from that you can pile on all the toppings you want (unlimited), which is awesome. The drinks are worth mentioning too! The blackberry lemonade is groovy stuff. Try it. That was our experience at Mod, the build-your-own, or get one of their pre-ordained small pies places that is similar to a couple of other chains, but the only one we have in the Santa Clarita Valley. My wife and I dined in and shared a pizza...red onions on one half, mushrooms on the other. It's nice to be able to get whatever you want and for it to come out relatively quickly. This pizza did the job for both of us, but there's something just a little off about the crust for our tastes that makes it seem like we're eating something manufactured. We also shared a basic salad which was also basic and did the job a salad should do. Stopped in for a quick dinner before a local concert. Very bright and hipster kinda feel. The staff were very friendly and greeted us when we arrived. It wasn't busy at all on this particular night. The menu was on the wall and a little overwhelming but I quickly figured out it was a build your own pizza or salad. I went with the Mod (small) margerita pizza and added bacon (yum) Kept it simple. They had fountain drinks which I did see until after I bought something from the cooler. There were some little cakes at the checkout that I wanted to try. They were wrapped like old school "ding dongs" (I just dates myself ) I didn't buy one buy my friend said they are tasty so I will have to try one next time. Prices were a little higher than what I have paid at other establishments like this one but I wanted to try something new and we wanted something relatively fast. My pizza was tasty. The thin crust could have been a bit more well done but I realized I ordered thin crust and I should have requested a different crust upon ordering. That was my mistake. I also should have ordered the Mini size. The small was too much for me. Regardless, all the flavor was all there for me and I enjoyed my pizza. It was a nice place for a party of four. Ok I usually only review excellent food establishments. Tonight I went with my family to MOD pizza in Stevenson Ranch and I was appalled by the cleanliness of the patio area. The tables were grimy and the concrete patio floor was so greasy it looked like the concrete in a dumpster enclosure. I thought to myself what does the inside of the kitchen look like. The management of MOD pizza needs to step back and look at what your customers are experiencing when eating at your establishment. I have been coming to this location for years! Always consistent, you can build your own pizza option and they have a bunch of toppings like a subway set up. They offer gluten free and a cauliflower crust! If you're vegan they have faux meat and cheese. Great for anyone! I've enjoyed their salads and I love their pizzas! They fire them in their oven and they come out crispy and delicious. They have an option for a thick double crust pizza as well. I love getting all the veggie toppings, multiple sauces and dips! They are very generous with portions. My trick is once the pizza is out of the oven to add arugula and spinach on top so it's like a pizza salad combo! They have soft service drinks and I think they may offer beer or wine. Do not leave without getting their little dessert wrapped in tin foil (like a hostess cupcake) but wayyy better! I just noticed that I've only ever placed a review for here once & it was definitely the worst visit I'd had in my many years coming here, so I thought it is only fair to leave a review for all the times that I have not had any issues with my order (most come out exactly as I order). When my order is exactly as requested (simply pepperoni w/ light cheese & well done) then this is one of my favorite pizza spots in town. I love me a good thin crust, especially when light on the cheese & sauce, so I'm very happy to have this place in town. While my last review a year ago was not great, I have not had any issues since then. This will strike a note with a lot of people, but on Friday we went to have diner with some friends for their first time out since Covid started and chose to eat on the patio. No problem there, but even though there is a requirement for masks at restaurants three separate groups (four or more) came in with no masks ordered at the counter directly with the employees and nothing was done about it. I sent a message to management there that was taken down by Yelp. However I want to let you know if you are still concerned about Covid policies that this place does NOT enforce masking. My daughter and I came here for a late lunch. And it is pretty much the same as the MOD Pizza we frequent near our home in Sacramento! We were not disappointed by the service. From the time we entered, we were happily greeted by staff members, all decked in smiles! How can we not love this place...? Their pizzas are much standard for a "make your own" place.  You can have a set menu item and changing it to suit you...remove toppings you don't want, and add more toppings to your heart's content.  At no extra charge.  But what separates them from the others is in the way they cook the pizza...never burnt...just right.  I can fold the pizza for eating and the toppings will stay in place.  The other places need to learn this technique.  But then again...maybe not.  This is a trade secret of theirs that will make me come back for more... Pandemic measures are in place. There's always hand santizer for your use. They require the customers to wear masks (as they do also wear masks...and gloves!) But I can't get over how efficient all the staff members are. For my daughter and me, we had 3 staff members looking out for us! They'll spoil you.
