I come here when I'm craving tacos. The snack tacos are great. I like that they're small and for only $1.09. I usually get a few of these with a couple of soft chicken tacos. I like some of their food but I absolutely hate going through their drive to. It takes 20+minutes to get a few tacos there. Today, I waited 5 minutes to just place my order which was only for one burrito, with 2 cars in front of me. It took 25 minutes to get to the front & receive my order. I drove away, only to realized the tortilla was completely burned & the taste was very bitter. Needles to say, I couldn't eat it. I don't know if they don't have enough help or what it is but it's unacceptable. In addition, there is an older Hispanic male there who is so rude & seems frustrated when he takes the orders. They must get riff raff there because you have to get buzzed into the bathrooms. I also noticed there outdoor umbrellas were locked to the table. Since Del Taco is pretty much obsolete in the Bay Area, I always look forward to trips down South where they are everywhere. I specifically chose to review this location because it was super clean and the 2 women working solo were on point with EVERYTHING! I mainly want to give props to them for keeping it cool with the people inside and the line in the drive-thru. The food was fresh and the one who took our order was pleasant even though it was obvious they were crazy busy. Chicken soft tacos are my go to and another plus is they have Mr Pibb!!!! Love this place. My son loves cheese. So of course we are going to be those annoying people who ask for standard menu items with ONLY cheese. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but I always feel a bit sheepish spelling out the order to someone who has likely heard a million lame modification requests all day. However, the staff there has always been very friendly and gracious in accommodating his "just cheese" tacos and quesadillas. The woman who I think is the manager even told us how to order the taco so we weren't charged for the extra cheese since we weren't getting any meet or veggies or toppings. And, sometimes when we go in and my 8yo orders at the counter the gentleman making the tacos will crack a joke or two with him about his cheese addiction. I was the first person in line at the counter and ignored by staff for over five minutes. I ordered a mexican chopped chicken salad. Then I watched it prepared and left sitting on the counter. No staff to serve it to me / they all seem focused on the drive and though and the counter person had disappeared. Finally I got the attention of the production woman and she gave me my chopped salad. Now. For the food quality. Aren't chopped salads by their very name supposed to be CHOPPED? Well I think it's s misnomer, because it wasn't. Two and a half chips. And the avocado was clearly past its best by date. It was downright slimy. Drive thru gets the order wrong every time... there's is no care wrapping the food falls apart in the bag. Drive thru is supposed to be open (according to their hours) but employees turn the lights off and don't answer at the drive thru. This place is absolutely horrible. read more

Ok so I don't know why this del taco doesn't have a higher rating. I just want to say kudos to whoever made my Classic Chicken Burrito on Thursday April 8 at 1pm cuz dude or chick, you rock. It was the way it's supposed to be made. A whole full tortilla, not half filled. I'm a del taco fan and I'm the first one to complain (plum cyn) and the first one to give credit to a job well done. Now I can't say it's as good as the del taco in Baker makes, of course they're the best del taco in history. I went through the drive through this past week with three kids that needed to be fed. Ruth, the manager, was EXCELLENT. She not only got our order right (lots of customization with these kids) but was efficient and friendly. I mentioned to her that her customer service skills are outstanding and she said that she is trying to turn this Del Taco around. I have no doubt she will do it! First they need to either fix their hours of operation sign in the drive Thru window or online open times. The window says drive thru open till 12 but online says 1 am. We went there at 1140 and they had already turned off the grill. The food we got was real old and cold I had to microwave it when I got home. So either don't go after 10 pm or order a soda but skip the food not worth the money. read more

I understand that there is a shortage with certain workers and industries, but as I am opening my order right now, I am astounded at the lack of care. Before COVID, we had issues with the workers forgetting things in our order at this specific store. After today, I will not be going to this location anymore. It literally looks like they threw our food into the bags, and the wrappers were open and looked liked an animal went through the bag. They forgot two hamburgers, my wife had to go in, and I did not get a soda that we paid for. 2020 This is very upsetting to have to write. I don't ever like to leave a bad review but this was necessary. I have tried this Del Taco 3 separate times. I recently moved in the area and was happy to see one so close. Unfortunately, I have had 3 horrible experiences. This time today, the quesadilla looked and tasted as though it was in a microwave, the tacos were squished and cold beyond compare, and the fries were tasteless, cold, and old. This is just a shame. I placed a simple order -- two bean and cheese burritos and a soda. The food was hot, fresh, fast and delicious. The restaurant seemed a bit like a ghost town, perhaps because of some of the negative reviews here. I came in on a Sunday afternoon, and while sitting enjoying my food, I noticed that some of the tables had chairs on them upside down, as if the place was getting ready to close. Seemed a little dark and somewhat unkempt, but acceptable for a fast food place, I guess. This is one of those reviews where if we could give no stars we would. I cannot write a review without providing the minimum of one star. Tonight's we went to this Dell taco and ordered a fiesta pack, six drinks, an order of fries and a turkey taco. As we drove away we noticed that we didn't get a receipt. We decided to get the Food home. My daughter was eating a red burrito out of the fiesta pack when she bit into something hard. When she removed the item from her mouth she noticed that it was a rock! Yes a rock! I took photos of the rock and as you can see it's an actual piece of granite! Is it possible that this was planned since we did not get a receipt! Needless to say we had to stop eating everything that we purchased. We went back to Del Taco to present the food and what we found in the red burrito. We entered the Del Taco with all the food and demanded that we speak to the manager. Well explained to him that we had purchased food at this Dell taco and never received a receipt. We also explained that one of my daughters was eating a red burrito and she bit into a rock. Upon closer examination the rock that we found was an actual piece of granite, which are the actual photos that I have attached to this review. When I showed him the granite that My daughter bit into when she was eating the red burrito he could only say" I don't know how they got there" and shrugged his shoulders. We never received an apology for what happened. We demanded a refund and a copy of the receipt. Fortunately, we received a full refund and a copy of the receipt which is also attached to this review. Needless to say, we will never eat here again and recommend that you never eat here as well! read more

Just a quick freeway stop on our way home from LA and we were not in the mood to stop and sit down to eat just grab a bite and keep on driving. I'm a huge fan of the .85 Jacked up BRC burritos on the value menu. For those of you who don't know what they are i will explain. BRC stands for beans, rice and cheese and the jacked up part is green sauce with the cheese being jack cheese. Now i have had the new found love affair with jack cheese so these are just amazing in my eyes. Now to be more clear the rice is this white cilantro rice I'm imagining because it isn't spanish rice and their beans have now been made in house from scratch and are kinda lumpy, yum. Green sauce is not hot but a nice spice and the cheese is my fav so it is just a combo I'm after. So we grabbed a bag of 6 and a couple of drinks through the drive through and away we went and my sister in law said she only wanted one and i said "i know i got some for later!" Yes they micro well too. So the drive thru service was fast and the food was good. They don't have Dr. Pepper so I had to settle for Mr. Pibb which theirs is pretty good to me. I will stop again. Didn't try it here but for anyone who hasn't tried the Double Del Cheese Burger you are missing out, this is by far the best big chain cheeseburger made. It is always tasty and well made. Don't get me wrong, I like the taste of the food... but there is practically nothing in the tacos!! Other Del Tacos overstuff their taco, so it's worth your money. This is not worth my money. I have to order 4-6 just to make it feel like a meal. Once in a while I'll get one that is fine. But it's a gamble every time because they are so inconsistent. Nothing against the staff. Today while visiting Del Taco located on Pico Canyon, I received the best customer service from any fast food chain over here in Stevenson Ranch. I have unfortunately been in a less than favorable financial situation for a bit of time now. Being "that" person when I want to sit in a restaurant and feel as though I'm not different from anyone else in here... but I can't afford a dang thing on the menu... that comes with a hint of embarrassment and sadly a lot of disgruntled comments and looks from the Karen's and Chad's of Stevenson Ranch! Ruth has not once made me feel as though I couldn't sit in her restaurant. While ordering today at this location, I accidentally sent my order to the Del Taco further down the road. She not only still gave us the order we attempted to place here & mixed up... but she gave us extra food, and recognized us as frequent customers/ guests of this Del Taco. If you want to feel like you are receiving great customer service and great food...Definitely stop by here. read more

I typically don't write reviews for the big chain fast food joints but I was so impressed with how clean this Del Taco was, I had to compliment them. I am usually very conscious about this stuff because I don't want my daughter touching filthy things, but I felt pretty good about it here. Even the high chairs were spotless. In addition, the cashier was super friendly. He was smiling, appeared to be in a good mood and patiently answered my multiple questions about the menu.
