Service was solid, only counter service though, kinda like a chipotle line. Pretty fast for being fresh baked pizza. The inside is "mod", not the most comfy of seating, but over clean, industrial looking ambiance. With all the concrete in the building and vaulted ceiling it's REALLY loud, especially with crowds. The pizza was great though, definitely on the lighter side, a "mod size pizza" is good for one adult with an appetite. Food is good, but this is the third time it has been understaffed, and the orders have taken forever to process. I ordered online to try to speed up the process. When I let them know of my online order, it took another 45 min before I finally approached to see if my order was started yet. Apparently it had been finished, and they didn't bother to say anything the whole time. Even with two staff members, only one is filling the order while the other one looks busy moving boxes from one counter to the next and back again. We actually first stopped at MOD Pizza on Nob Hill. There was quite a line, and the line was not moving very fast so after 10 minutes, we decided not to wait. As we were driving around looking for another place to eat, we were so surprised to find another MOD pizza location. Love the concept! Pizza and salads were really good, and price was so reasonable. But above all else, every staff member was friendly and engaged with all of the customers. Great all around experience. read more

I love this location! They get our order correct every time. The curb side delivery is super quick! They always give us the sauces we ask for and fill the cups up all the way! Standard mod pizza. They do say they have "gluten friendly" pies but those are cooked along with all the others which equals cross contamination. I was really excited when MOD opened this newest location in Yakima. I'm a fan of how the service is and who's behind the counter. The staff is friendly and fast which really encompasses the MOD attitude of style, fresh and fast. My order was a MOD pizza to go which included: -Mozzarella -Pesto -Spicy sausage -Bacon -Roasted garlic -Sliced tomatoes -Red sauce dollops You could really taste the freshness of every ingredient. The red sauce had great flavor and was sweet which mixed well with the pesto. I highly recommend those who love garlic (like me!) to get fresh garlic on their pizza. Makes all the difference in the world! The crust has a great char on it from the being in their on-site oven and that's really where this seals the deal. Only small gripes I have are I wish there was more pesto (they only "dot" it around pizza) and bacon was just ok. I also got one of their homemade drinks, the carmelized pear tea. It was awesome! It wasn't too sweet, you could taste the pear and the honey and the fact that there's not any caffeine is a plus. It's hard to group this place with other "fast food" joints. The food does come out fast but it's super fresh and you can customize your meal. Doesn't get any better than that! read more

Once again this establishment is abhorrently filthy. It's 1:45 in the afternoon, there are two customers here eating, and no other customers besides me. Every single table and table top is dirty, I had to ask for one to be wiped off and when the kid came out to do it, he wiped off the one table turned around and went back to doing very little, leaving ALL the other tables dirty! . Food on the salad bar is all splashed into the other toppings, and several were just tubs of juice with chunks of whatever in it. There is a giant spill of soda right across the hall main section of the floor that has dried up and you can't avoid it. The entire breadth of the floor is completely sticky as you walk through it. It's apparent most of the soda evaporated.m, leaving a syrupmess. The bathrooms are gross--black grease smudges on the doors and trash toppling over. I go to the other MOD on Nob Hill and it is always immaculate. Service is good at both places. This is definitely not a proactive clean place. It's always a dump read more

I had long ago given up on pizza. It all tastes pretty much the same from place to place so when my gf wanted to go to Mod pizza, I was less than thrilled. Having said that however, I must say that this was the best pizza I've had since....ok, well then, its hands down the best pizza I've ever had!!! Great food, excellent and very friendly service as well. My only negative is that we have a 50 mile drive to the closest one. So I say, try it and you'll love it! Sadly, I've had some negative experiences with customer service at other places recently. However, I just purchased a salad from a young man at this restaurant, and he appeared to be a new employee, but he was very kind and had excellent customer service. We already loved the Mod Pizza on Nob Hill. When we found out Tommy was opening a new restaurant on First Street we followed him there. The staff greets us by name when we come in. Is the pizza the best pizza ever? No. But for the price you can't beat it. And all the topping choices and speed make this an amazing place. Every kid gets their own pizza, my wife gets a gluten free crust (which taste better than the originals) and I still can't get over the lemonade and ice tea on tap and how good they are. Go for the pear tea if you have a sweet tooth. But the people are very nice and don't mind all the weird combos and seem happy to be doing their job. I have not had a bad experience yet. This was our first visit. The place was SUPER clean, I loved the decor. The staff greeted us promptly and they were really nice. This is like the "Subway" Of pizza places. Pizza was good but had to go back two times on our pizzas , they forgot the topping sauce on both pizzas. Also ordered a draft beer and the keg blew . I came here with two of my friends and we had TERRIBLE SERVICE! The chick working has DISGUSTING, straggly, discolored (greenish/blue), dirty hair. She answered the phone using her same gloves to make food..terrible food handling. She was rude, and very stingy with the toppings. Love this place. I have food allergies and usually get salad. They usually remember me and get it right every time. One of the few places I can eat in Yakima without worrying about getting sick and the food is delicious. First of all, Mod Pizza in general is one of the best pizza places. They have an amazing variety of toppings and sauces, you can add as many toppings as you want without increasing the price (which can be easy to overdo!), and they can meet needs for almost any allergy--gluten, dairy, tomatoes, you name it. It's really hard to want something in a pizza that they can't provide. Secondly, this particular location is perfect. It's in the middle of Yakima, not too crowded, and has plenty of parking nearby. On our first visit to this location the staff was very welcoming and enthusiastic, and helped us build amazing pizzas. Kait in particular is a star employee who really stands out. We definitely plan on making many return trips. A+, we're impressed. read more
