How have I missed this restaurant in my eatery portfolio? They checks all the boxes, fast, friendly, clean, fabulous food, filling, and great prices! The horchata was on point! The atmosphere in the restaurant is super comfortable and family friendly. Today, there were two workers taking orders and running the grill, they were awesome! A major boost on first impressions, such great people!

IM MEXICAN AND THIS PLACE IS CRAZY AUTHENTIC !!!! First off the birria tacos had the best best flavor ever!! I dipped the taco in the consume soooooo delicious!! If I'm ever back in Washington you know I'll be there for the tacos!!! The horchata wasn't too sweet at all but still had the cinnamon flavor to it! I really enjoyed that! The staff was attentive and very friendly as I ordered. Side note: They also have restrooms! I was about to pee my pants assuming they didn't have any!! Very nice and clean

We stopped at Nino's on a whim and so glad we did! My wife ordered the Monster Burrito, but she was super jealous of my Vampiro tacos. I got the cilantro and red onions added And it was so good. Very nice surprise! They also give you a Birria sauce to dip the tacos in like a magical variation to a French dip. Nom nom nom!!!

Soo much delicious food! We loved it here. Fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service. We couldn't finish our food. Glad we gave it a try.

7 Jan 2021 When visiting the self-proclaimed Palm Springs of WA, it can be difficult to find good eats. Nino's stakes claim as the better, locally-owned Chipotle alternative. By the numbers: Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance NA (covid) Value 4/5 Nino bowl - Very good. Basically a hefty burrito bowl. It'll fill you up. I got 50/50 adovado pork and barbacoa with avo (which is INCLUDED in the price - get a clue Chipotle!). The adovado was delicious.

Not from this area. Saw reviews on Yelp and decided to give this place a try. Came here Saturday evening. Line was pretty long -it wasn't out of the door yet but almost. We waited about 30 minutes to even be able to place our order. Tried the tacos, carne Asada plate, nino bowls. Food was bland, flavorless, medium salsa tasted like tomato paste. I will say staff was friendly, and they serve handmade tortillas. Other than that -not worth the hype.

We stopped here on the way home from a weekend away. We all got the birria tacos and they were fantastic! Some of the best I have ever had. The rice and beans were great as well. The line was quick to get through and the staff was friendly. Would definitely stop by here on my way home again!

The place is sparkling clean. The food is great too. Friendly service. Reasonable price. A little off the freeway though. I would come back.

Ninos is now out must go to spot while driving from Seattle to Bend, going through Yakima WA! Best tortillas I've had outside of being in Mexico, made to order in front of you each time. They're HUGE too, so "Monster Burrito" lives up to its name for sure! I'd had tacos barilla yesterday, and the broth was delicious! Chips n salsa only okay, as the major focus is clearly on the main event lol. Very friendly staff, bathrooms down the hall, and a joined spot for PHO with folks dining and seated in the same general area, for those looking for maybe a different option. After having had lunch at Ninos and back on the road, all my wife kept talking about was how delicious lunch was at Ninos! It's super great!

    Homemade tortillas!

What a great find! I cannot express how welcoming Brian was when I entered. Having never been there before, he recommended (everything!) on the menu and made our enchiladas and super burrito with everything we liked! He even made us a special delicious taco just to try and gave us some tasty broth and sweet milk to sample. Our meals were delish, with huge portions! We will be back next time through town!! Thanks Brian!

There's a reason this place is a destination, rather than a side quest. I live 92 miles and 2.5…read morehours away, and I make that pilgrimage a few times a year, much to my wife's consternation. "The freezer's full. Stop bringing home tamales." She's an infidel, a blasphemous Pharisee whose ignorance of the one true tamale is a point of ridicule. Tamale's are an art more than a science. My grandmother used to shut down her kitchen for two weeks each year to make tamales, which would fill a chest freezer for her husband to feast upon for lunch throughout the year. And when we went to visit, he'd share his hoard. To a point. They're both gone now, but I no longer have to wait for a family trip. Also, I can drive myself, so there's that. I make what I call The Tamale Run, a six hour drive that starts with a drive to lunch in Union Gap, a cooler filled with ice and a stack of frozen tamales, and ends with a saunter through Mt Rainier National Park. There are far worse ways to spend the day. And before you go and say, "Hey, you're spending half your day at a park," understand that part is the side quest, the icing on the cake if you will. A bonus I enjoy, but would gladly live without. So long as I get my tamales. Most tamales are dry. The masa tends to lose too much moisture when steamed. The result is typically a crumbly mess that lacks flavor and makes me wish I hadn't bothered. Los Hernandez tamales are moist, rich, and filled with consistent flavors that take me back to the trips of my youth, when my biggest concern was running out of AA batteries for my Walkman (I'm old). So do yourself a favor. Make the trek. Enjoy the journey. Savor the tamale. Ignore the other voices who tell you not to waste gas driving that far for something you could get closer, even if the nearby offerings are crap and unworthy. Tamales are more than just a food; they're a religion. Go, pray at the temple. Take your burnt offerings and some cash. Tell the priests and priestesses that you have come to kneel before Zod, or whatever your faith system commands of you.

They were quite good- maybe not the best I've ever had but meat was tender and moist, everything a good tamale should be! I just know a gal that does smoked pork tamales that's pretty hard to beat... Great vegetarian options in Yakima!…read more Quality: most vegetarian and Mexican places only give you rice beans and tomatoes as an option. These guys have well seasoned, actual vegetables and plentiful options that don't just seem like a taco with meat missing, butt seem like a complete food option. I got the potato tacos and the veggie burrito and both were very well done. So potatoes needed a little salt, but nothing that I couldn't fix at the table. Quantity: i'm a big guy and I eat a lot. But even I could only finish one taco and half a burrito. massive quantity! Price: $13 for a burrito that can feed 2! Ambiance: standard Mexican decor. It was clean and outdoor dining was available.

They brought out refreshing cups of water, chips and 6 types of salsa, while we reviewed the menu. The "chips" are actually whole corn tortillas fried! So you use them whole or break them into chips yourself. My guess on the salsas are: salsa verde (tomatillo), avocado, pico de gallo, a smoky ancho, a citrusy habanero, and something else. They all had distinct flavors and a little light spice, but we wanted spicier. They brought out the "no way Jose" sauce and warned us it's their spiciest and it sneaks up on ya! We tried it and found it was not burning but quite nice. We drizzled this sauce all over our food. It was the most flavorful of the bunch. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from sopas to sopes, tortas to tacos, cocktails to desserts. We each got a plate of food, meaning the main entree comes with Mexican red rice and refried beans. I got the sopita (aka sope) with barbacoa and a fish taco and husband got a dipped torta (I forget the name) filled with adobada. The amount of food and meat was quite generous, the toppings (veggies) too. I really enjoyed my sope - it had the perfect crispy crust and I could taste the slightly sweet creamy taste of the masa. The barbacoa was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. It was more like stewed beef meat. It was fine but I was expecting really deep flavor. The fish taco seemed freshly grilled and was moist, but there was a bit of a "fishy" smell and flavor that kind of took over. Thankfully, the generous veggie toppings and fresh handmade corn tortilla and salsas helped mask the flavor. Have to hand it to them that those tortillas are really good! The Mexican rice was perfect. I haven't had that flavor and texture in Mexican rice in a while and thought that was well done. The refried beans were good but also had a flavor I couldn't place my finger on... My husband said everything was really good on his plate. His torta was massive! Really flavorful and stacked with things. The adobada was very tasty. I wish I ordered that meat instead of the barbacoa and fish. Overall pretty good Mexican food, generous portions, really sweet service. The interior is also really clean and nicely decorated. They have a small parking lot out back.
