Warrior Heating & Cooling

After dealing with several private-equity backed HVAC companies that felt more like high-pressure…read morecar dealerships, we were relieved when Gill from Warrior Heating and Cooling came by. From the start, he was honest, thorough, and transparent. He took the time to explain everything clearly and never once tried to upsell us on things we didn't need. We decided to replace both our AC system and gas furnace (after the furnace died on the morning of the first blizzard!) with new American Standard units, and Gill gave us a very fair and reasonable price. While Warrior may not have had "7 trucks ready to finish the job in one day" like some of the larger companies promised, Gill and his team focused on doing the work the right way -- with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. What really stood out was the customer service. Gill even helped us install and set up a new smart thermostat I had purchased myself. It's rare these days to find contractors who are both skilled and genuinely trustworthy. We'll absolutely be calling Gill again for any future HVAC needs, and we highly recommend Warrior Heating and Cooling!

Gil came out the same day I reached out and went through the system with me explaining everything he saw. While my system is old, he saw that my immediate problem was the motor. He went out to get a new motor for me and installed it that day. Sure enough, problem solved. Gil is knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, reasonably priced, and honest as the day is long. He's my guy from this day on.

From the start, the installation process was riddled with problems. Rather than detailing each issue (which the company would likely try to excuse, as they did every time I raised concerns), I'm posting pictures so you can judge for yourself. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing--many verbal guarantees I received were completely disregarded. For example, instead of floor units in my kids' bedrooms, I was given ceiling units, one of which is positioned so low it practically touches my son while he sleeps. Now, as I'm finishing my basement, I had a friend who works in HVAC assess the mess Earth Tech left behind. He estimated it would take 3-4 days and cost around $3,000 to fix. He also explained the risks associated with their work: pipes joined in the middle are prone to future leaks, especially when unsupported, as stress on the joints increases the likelihood of failure. With so many joints, locating a leak would be nearly impossible. Shockingly, much of the system is held together with duct tape. While this may last through their warranty period, it's clear the entire system was designed to last just long enough to shift the responsibility of repairs onto the customer.

BEWARE! These people were inept or in bad faith or both. Made serious mistakes in the installation…read moreof my Heat Pump that cost me more than twenty thousand dollars.
