I love this store! There's two of them, but the one closest to the jewelry store section is my favorite! My review is about the one closest to the jewelry store. There's usually an older woman working, but the day I went, it was a middle aged man. He was super sweet, and he was very helpful. I saw him help this woman translate something to Vietnamese, he even helped give her directions to a restaurant she was looking for. Plus, when I went to go check out, I had brought red new year envelopes to buy. He showed me some cuter ones he had under the glass counter. Of course I bought them! The selection is amazing, so many toys, stationary, accessories, etc. Everything in here is cute. I usually come here for the stationary, but I also enjoyed their selection of red new year envelopes. The spacing in the store is tight so be very careful. You may also have to only carry a small bag in the store. There's very tight walking space. If there is one person in the aisle, don't even bother trying to scooch around them. Just wait until they leave the aisle or walk around to the other side. Also, I don't know why this store is reported closed on Yelp. I feel like that can be very damaging to the store. These stores are fully opened, fully stocked, and they're ready for customers. I love going to this store, I've been going here ever since I was a child. I will continue going here, it will always be my "must go to" when coming to Westminister!

This place is packed wall to wall w Sanrio items and random tchotchkes. Most things are pricey, to me. I don't understand why they don't price to sell things, rather than have so much inventory collecting dust on the shelves. You really have to squeeze in the little path to walk around and look at everything. I decided to do some impulse shopping as we wait for the ortho to call us in. $20 min for credit cards. But really, you should have cash to shop in this mall. Most places don't accept cards.

    So cute!

Hello Kitty fix? No... Hello Kitty high!!! Yesss! Located on the upper level of the Asian Garden Mall in Westminster, California, this super cute shop actually has two spaces with the same name. They are diagonal from each other and have similar items such as tote bags, plushies, note books, pencils, stickers, erasers, etc. Most merchandise is from Sanrio. Some are discounted prices! I HAD TO get the small Hello Kitty plushie with a tan, wearing a Hula skirt! She was the last one! I also got red good luck envelopes with Vietnamese sayings on them! I haven't seen those before! I sure want to return and look for more unique gifts! The parking was free and the service seemed better when my friend spoke Vietnamese... haha! I need more time in both stores because both shops were well stocked with so many cute things!!!

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to learn tufting for the first time!! For those new to tufting,…read moretufting is essentially a texture manufacturing process where you insert yarn into a base fabric to create rugs. The lesson first starts off with choosing a simple base design. Our instructor specifically recommended a design with simple lines and colors to make it easier for our first ever rug, which was around $70. Using a projector, you will trace your image onto the fabric as a template for the rest for your work. Before starting with tufting, we then moved onto a mini tutorial on the ins and outs of using a tufting gun, from yarn insertion to how to create straight versus curved lines. Keep in mind you have to put a lot of pressure on the canvas to ensure that your yarn is being threaded correctly. Going through several practice sessions definitely made the transition to the entire tufting process easier. Starting our rug, we soon recognized how difficult and time consuming the rug tufting process was. Even simple design like ours (a cartoon dog) was a long lengthy process than anticipated and we ended up spending 3-4 hours for completion for one of the smaller size rugs. We were recommended to start from the inside out and using one color at a time, inserting lines of yearn about a fingers width to ensure completion of our rug. Though we initially struggled with creating finer lines, we eventually got the hang of it and were able to successfully complete our rug. Our instructor transitioned us into the final process, teaching us how to trim our rug and prepare it to take home. Personally based on the instructor teaching and supplies available, this class was well worth its price point. Overall, I would say tufting is an impressive skill that I learned for the first time and hope to come again to create more designs!

It's been a year since no one has done a review on this store so I'll give an update on it for…read moreanyone interested :) especially who are looking for Pokémon packs to rip (hope this review didn't get too popular or else scalpers will come ) To be honest, I have came here the first time during Tết for the food court and then I got full so me and my cousins decided to walk around the Asian Garden Mall, not a lot of stores really caught my attention until I went to Oppa's and found that they got Korean Pokémon packs. I was skeptical and Korean sets weren't that popular at the time so I only strolled around the store for a bit, looking smiskis and Vocaloid chibi figures and then went home, ended the trip I decided to go back to Oppa's the second time for the cards of course after getting stuffed with more food from the night market. Me and my boyfriend went to Oppa's yesterday around 8:45pm, the place filled pretty much plushies and Kpop items, Pokémon cards are opposite to the cashier. We decided to get a pack of Destined Rivals/Glory of Team Rocket for only $2.99 + tax (around $3 something) which is ok since you know the shipping costs as well as they do need some profits on selling stuff as a retail store too. We did a rip test and confirmed that they're real cards btw (purple/blue hue inside, you can find more information from this video https://youtu.be/13UoFipIF4c?si=wEwvg8D0-YPcwo6T) After that we went for 2 more packs before ending our trip, another Destined Rivals/Glory of Team Rocket and Heat Wave/Hot Air Arena, didn't get any big hits but it was fun after all :) The cashiers were a Korean couple (I think?) and they were very nice to us! I found it funny when the second time we went to get our 2 last packs and the lady looked a bit concerned (and she asked if we were here for packs again, funny ngl because we both financially irresponsible lol) Update on the sets they were having on are: Vstar Universe Scarlet and Violet ex Clay Burst Snow Hazard 151 Raging Surf Ancient Roar Future Slash Shiny Treasure Stella Miracle Paradise Dragona Battle Partners Heat Wave Glory of Team Rocket Vstar Universe w/10 cards for $10.99, 151 w/7 cards for $5.99 and the rest are $2.99 not including taxes yet. Remember to bring cash with you because they have to charge 50 cents more if you're paying with debit/credit card (transactions fee) Overall, great experience! Definitely would go back for more if I have time. Hopefully they sell sealed booster boxes too :)

I hope they're able to get the help that they need to help support their community, but I still stand by the frustration experienced when attempting to reach out multiple times.* I've spent a good amount of time calling this store trying to get ahold of a worker for clarification on a tournament they are holding. The phone doesn't even fully ring before you get sent to voicemail so I want to assume they're declining the call, but hopefully I'm wrong. Called since their opening and between the hours and still no luck talking to someone. They don't respond to their socials either. This feels very unwelcoming to new folks trying to stop by and support their shop. Unfortunately I cant comment on anything else from this shop as this was enough to deter me and my friends from wanting to visit, but it's great to hear from their community about their situation which clearly means their locals are happy playing there.
