Brought my pup in for stomach issues and she almost died under their hospitalization. They dont know how to address actual health issues outside of basic ones (which defeats the purpose of establishing a relationship w a vet) Luckily i went to a different vet and they knew how to save my pup and she's been thriving ever since. Was offered a drink upon arrival. Parking garage has 3hr parking time. Plenty of time for a day to day visit. Was only in the waiting room for 5-10 mins (which was small but pleasant to wait in.) she covered every part of the exam while looking over my cat. She was efficient and careful with my cats care. Little steep for an exam. But they seem top notch so I can see why the prices! The app is a nice touch so you have all your pets info at hand. Every pet parent wants the best for their pet. I brought my dog, Luna, to see Dr. Mastromonaco and had a great experience! I love the app based concept. It's super user friendly and well organized. You use the app to schedule appointments, you can chat with a professional with any questions, it keeps appointment notes from the doctor, medical records like vaccine due dates, treatment plans and receipts. I also love how transparent they are with their prices, reasonable prices. When we arrived to the office, we were greeting by the receptionist - she weighed Luna and checked her in. It's a beautiful modern and minimalist office, I love all the dog books they have in the waiting room instead of the basic pet insurance brochures like most vets have. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. My dog is allergic to all the good stuff, but the office was able to accommodate her allergies and provide duck flavored treats. I did a lot of research to find Luna a good vet I can trust and I'm happy with my decision to bring her to Modern Animal. read more

The concept of this veterinary clinic initially seemed promising, but the booking experience has been consistently frustrating. Attempting to make an appointment by phone is a challenge, as calls often go unanswered, leaving you to listen to the same pre-recorded message repeatedly. The online booking system is equally problematic. I tried booking an appt and then I got a 'this time is no longer available' so then when I tried to book another time slot, it said error. This wouldn't have happened if someone would have just picked up the phone. (South Lamar location in Austin ) While he other reviews mention 'welcome drinks upon arrival', the most crucial aspect for pet owners is reliable communication and availability. This is especially vital when you need prompt care for your pets. Unfortunately, this has been my experience on three separate occasions. Despite the clinic's convenient location, I'm disappointed and have decided to look elsewhere for my pet care needs. I hope they address these issues and improve their customer service for future patients. read more

My dog is a pretty large Great Dane who has always been an anxious guy going to the vet but at Modern Animal, they know how to accommodate his needs. They are extremely kind and very patient. I love that everything can be done through an app instead of having to call or do at a desk with your animal, which having a big dog, is not fun! I'm almost always the only person waiting so I don't have to corral my dog to avoid other pets. the rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly and welcoming. parking is easy, even for South Lamar! Dr Mozisek remembers my animals and always provides option when giving care. I always have the choice to not accept a service and am given a clear estimate beforehand. I have been very happy with the service. some may feel that paying an annual fee will cost them more but in my experience, I am not at the vet's more than twice a year and am not paying any more for services than I was prior. I like knowing that I don't even have to by o I to the office because there is telehealth services and customer service available at my fingertips! read more
