Prickly Pear is a great vet option for affordable vaccines and wellness. Today I visited with my cat Logan for his 3 year rabies and FVRCP. The front desk checked us in fast, then we went to the cat room to wait. The doctor and nurse were so caring and gentle with him while he was vaccinated. The doctor completed a wellness exam and sent us home with some dental wipes. The fees for the vaccines matched the website exactly and with the wipes, my total was reasonable compared to other vets, about $100. I have found a new vet for his vaccinations, and I am so happy this vet exists for affordable pet care. I am so relieved he is healthy, and now I can work keeping his teeth clean with the wipes. Found this gem and took my pup in as he was due for several vaccines and I knew I'd be looking at a $300 bill at our standard vet so figured why not try this place out! As other reviews mention, it is clean, the staff is friendly, loads of parking, and overall a cute little establishment. And SUPER affordable. They are the perfect vaccine only clinic. Walk-in only but I had no problems after work on a Weds they got me in within 15-20 minutes and we were out in 5. Dr. Hilla is super nice and aside from just providing the vaccines even took the time to check teeth, heart, ears, nose just to make sure everything looks good. Not only does Prickly Pear offer affordable prices for vaccinations, they are so great with our fur babies! We've been taking our dog & cat here for a few years now and every single time our pup gets so excited to see Dr. Hilla and Pauline, he jumps up and down like crazy. When she does the injections, she's very gentle so he doesn't even notice them. I always trust animals' instincts on good people. No need for appts, it's just a walk-in process during normal open hours. Do check their website for any special holiday closures, because they're very good about updates there. If you've been needing a more convenient, affordable clinic to visit with your pets I highly recommend coming here. I brought my three fur babies to get their rabies vaccinations, and walked in around 11:40 a.m. I was able to be seen and have my three pets cared for within an hour, which is incredible! They are a walk-in only clinic and don't accept appointments, but I wouldn't let that discourage you from coming here. Unlike some clinics like Emancipet, you won't be having to wait around for long hours due to a large amount of people waiting ahead of you. They only perform preventative care and administer vaccinations, but that's really all my fur babies need! They do a wellness exam before moving forward with administering services, which I greatly appreciated. While we were here all three of my pets got their rabies vaccinations, and one of them got a nail trim. In all, my visit was $90, which is much less than what I usually expect to pay at private vet clinics for taking just one of my pets for the same services. The staff here clearly also loves animals, and they're passionate about providing the care your pet deserves to live happy and healthy. read more

These girls are amazing! I walked in with my new cat at 1:45 (didn't know they closed at 2) and told them i could come back another day but they took me anyways even though they closed in 15 minutes! They got my cat all his vaccinations and treated him for fleas within 20 minutes, i got there at 1:45 and was back home by 2:25! Not to mention the prices were great! They didn't informed me of the possible side effects and after reading thousands of reviews and how many animals have died, I can't belief that they are still carrying it. Dr.Hilla and her staff go above and beyond to make my dogs feel welcome and safe. The clinic is clean and the prices are actually affordable. I've never had to wait longer than 20 minutes to get into room as a walk in visit which is AMAZING. I called them today morning for availability and there were ready to meet us. They're a new clinic and getting a fast appointment comes super handy for us pet pawrents in these strange COVID times when all vet clinics and mobile vets are packed. Super kind and caring staff and doctor! I am a very anxious pawrent and they were very flexible and accommodating to my requests. They handled my 100lb dog and 5 lb kitty cat very gently, took the time to get them comfy before the exam, and both got the chance to have a treat before the Rabies shot. They kindly asked me before offering the treats, to avoid tummy upset in case one of them had a sensitive stomach. I am incredibly happy, they totally made my day. So much so that I kind of wish my other cats' Rabies would be due sooner, so I could meet them again. Haha Great experience, highly recommend this place. read more

This is a cheaper option for your pet's shots! The regular vet offices I called wanted about $25 PER SHOT PLUS about a $30 office visit fee PER PET!!! This is ridiculous when you just need shots and no other services. Now they do charge a $10 office fee per pet here, but it still equals savings from full service vet offices. We'll be back in a few weeks for boosters! Dr. Hilla and Pauline at the front counter were both very kind. Dr. Hilla asked if she could offer a treat before giving the shots and Pauline offered info for spay/neuter options. Great, pleasant service here! read more
