BUYER BEWARE: We spent over $10,000 on palm trees and hibiscuses for the WORST customer experience of our life. They put in our palm tree, completely botched it, apologized, and then it took them 2 MONTHS to replace it. Then they added two hibiscus bushes and REMOVED THE WATER LINES TO THEM THAT ALREADY EXISTED FOR OTHER PLANTS. Called again, they apologized, BUT TOOK THEM ANOTHER MONTH TO COME OUT. Every day they said they would call us back and have a manager come out and this went on for weeks. Then because there were not two water lines obviously those plants died. We scheduled to have them deliver & plant our tree. We have had it now a little over a month, & are very happy with our purchase. I purchased a lemon tree and a protection plan from them last fall. This plan ensures that I have 4 appointments throughout the year for them to come out and assess the tree. With the early heat wave it is not doing well. I have called the store several times, the pro team several times, emailed relentlessly, and called the corporate line who left messages with managers. I have not heard a response back which is very disappointing. He even took us around the nursery in the golf cart so we could see everything in person, which made the whole process really fun and easy. Not everyone lives in a 3500 sq ft home with a large yard. You have to take care of the smaller properties too! They are just as important. I bought a number of plantings from Moon Valley (Chandler) in Dec 2024. One of the bushes has been problematic from early on and wasn't thriving as well as the others. In my attempts to have someone come, view it and opine on its status- I could never get anyone to return my call. After becoming very frustrated- I paid another in person visit. Raymond Sauve took the time to push my issue up the chain. It ultimately landed in the lap of Arborist Danny Molina. This young man was arguably one of the most efficient and helpful individuals, and upon his in-person visit, he immediately proposed a fair and equitable solution. Wise beyond his years, he actually understands the importance of customer service and followup. I was ready to wash my hands of Moon Valley and the 'corporate machine' but because of Danny's assistance and commitment, I've given them another chance. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with Moon Valley Nurseries at the Chandler location was genuinely awful. We purchased five Italian Cypress trees in May 2024 for $1,250. We tried twice to pick them up but were told they weren't ready. The salesperson promised he would personally get them and deliver them to our home. We trusted him and trusted the company. That trust was a mistake--we never got the trees and received no communication from them for 18 months. When we finally went back hoping to resolve the issue, we were told the receipt (issued by them!) had "expired" after 12 months. Instead of helping us, both the cashier and manager were combative. The manager even raised her voice at us. Then, unbelievably, the salesperson who had promised delivery falsely claimed he had helped us "load the trees," basically accusing us of lying. Corporate customer service wasn't any better. The regional director offered us only two small $120 cypress trees as the final resolution. After everything we went through, this felt disrespectful and dismissive. This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences we've ever had. We walked away feeling hurt, accused, and taken advantage of. We will never return and hope others think twice. read more

I've driven pass this location 100 times or more, and have always wanted to stop .. especially, during the Holiday Seasons when it's festive. I finally stopped! MANNY was the first to come to my aid. He is such a GREAT HUMAN!!! Manny first explained, how many staff were on board to assist customers and then, he asked if he could walk with me respectfully in the 111° in case, I had questions, and Manny taught me many things that, I didn't know about planting/ gardening in which, I actually am glad that he taught me. We were only able to walk 1 row before I was like, " um yeah, it's too hot out here" . I actually stopped here, for indoor bamboos but, they only have the huge outdoor ones. They didn't have many indoor plants They have such a great variety of plants here. Most of their huge plant's go outside with prices starting at $29.00 which would look great on an outdoor patio or even, in the front door, of your home. I explained to Manny that, I noticed that the Dinosaur exhibits were facing inward to the business (which, I later found out that, a local Artist makes the dinosaurs and other metal animals) and that, the artwork would look great in a garden and should face the street instead. I did recommend to Manny that, the business should place the local artist exhibits, facing the street rather the inside of the business because this may help to gain even more customers attention and make them want to stop! Plus, it would be cute for the kids to see. If you see a dinosaur and 2 baby dinosaurs facing the street... It was my idea and recommendation. Kudos to them for taking my advice, in advance! ‍ In the meanwhile, although it's super hot outside, stop in, take a quick walk down a isle or 2 and pick out some plants. They do offer a cold water while you browse, to help you stay hydrated. Before you ask: NO, I NEVER TOLD Manny that I would write a review, until at the very end when I told him that I would do a review and give them a great one due to his customer service. Manny asked me to take his photo by the exhibits so that, he can take my advice and prove that they would move the exhibits since he loved my idea. ( You're Welcome to the local Artist) ‍ Manny asked if he could walk me to my vehicle while disgusting the exhibits that I inquired about, and even offered to take a photo next to the exhibit as proof that he would turn them around as per my suggestion. He asked me to post his photos to remind myself that I suggested this everytime I drive by. Lol He's a fun guy and I'm sure that his coworkers/ employees appreciate this vibe. Just had my new Red Push Pistache tree planted by Cesar and his crew. They were so kind and quick. Not only is this tree well on its way to a happy life, Cesar's crew provide great instructions for watering and feeding so I can make sure it will grow and provide some great shade. I have purchased a large tree like this before so I can't say if this is a value or not, but I will say yes. The care and instruction by all the employees really makes it a value. Prior to large tree being planted they do all the heavy lifting with getting the area blue staked so they don't hit anything important. I never thought of that, but it's a very good idea. We bought two twenty year old trees from them. From the start they were not up front about everything. We even bought the extended warranty they suggested. Paid extra for that. Two weeks or more had passed. One of the trees looked sick. We called them several times. Sent pictures. The leaves were fallen already. The other one looked ok. They wouldn't come out, not enough people to come out and see. We waited. Nothing. So we let it be for a bit. Again, no response. We came back from vacation. The tree is now worse than before. We hire a arborist to come look at the tree. Since moon valley was too busy. He said the tree is for sure dead. That this kind of tree should have never been sold. It was beyond its capabilities to live. So back to moon valley. My husband went in to the office. But the manager was too busy to come out and talk. And she sent a guy to talk. But the guy wasn't very knowledgeable. So he had to go back and forth to talk to the manager. Why she just come out herself. After all the talking. She wanted us to buy another tree. For half off. No, not another rejects. Which to say, they are in the way back. Discounted they say. They wouldn't honor our warranty because it was now 15 days over. We called and emailed them. So then she also said, that those trees should have not been sold a warranty. Then why didn't we get our money back.? So why did the young man that sold us the trees and warranty. Had said this was the best plan. His name was Jason. He apparently didn't know either. So, we are out of a tree. With no help from Arizona avenue moon valley. If you're going to be a manager, then manage your workers and do your job. And come out and talk. This place is a big rip off! Unless you can give us back our warranty money. Checked out various tree varieties on the website to get some preliminary ideas for completely renovating our front yard. When we got to the nursery, it didn't take Bob long to narrow down our final choice, his years of experience were extremely helpful to make our decision. Best of all, they were having a substantial discount sale, so we were able to get a much bigger tree that what we thought possible on our limited budget. Moon Valley made all the arrangements to have the utility companies come out and check the proposed planting site, we didn't have to lift a finger. Esi and his crew were on time, efficient, placed the tree perfectly, and left absolutely no mess behind. Through it all, Chad was excellent with communicating what to expect and when.
