I am shocked with how many positive reviews. I hired Moon Valley Nurseries for professional plant removal because I expected a premium level of service. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. During the removal process, multiple irrigation and sprinkler issues occurred that required several return visits to correct. While Moon Valley ultimately repaired the damage, these were problems that should not have occurred in the first place. The project resulted in weeks of follow-up, repeated appointments, and significant time spent trying to get the work corrected. What was most disappointing was the customer service. Communication was inconsistent, I frequently had to follow up for updates, and I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously. Even after filing a BBB complaint detailing my experience, the response focused only on the fact that repairs were completed and did not address my concerns about the quality of the original workmanship or the overall customer experience. I paid a premium price expecting professional service from start to finish. Instead, I experienced avoidable issues, repeated corrective visits, and a great deal of inconvenience. Although the damage was eventually repaired, I do not believe the quality of the service I received justified the price I paid. We desperately needed a new tree for our front yard. Hubby & I went to Moon Valley to find a tree we liked. We were greeted by a staff member. He showed us trees until we settled on the one we purchased. We appreciated the new pressure sales approach. He was very helpful, but not pushy. We got a Ficus Nitida Multi. We scheduled to have them deliver & plant our tree. We have had it now a little over a month, & are very happy with our purchase. They wrote down how to take care of the tree based on the temperature. We can easily look in our folder to see how much to water it based on the temp outside. read more

I was aiming for a zen garden on our front patio. Danny suggested plants I had never heard of to be easy to care for in the desert. Minimal water and maintenance. Easy to transplant as well. I couldn't be happier with the choices we made. My garden and waterfall look amazing and he was on point with all the plants he suggested. BUYER BEWARE: We spent over $10,000 on palm trees and hibiscuses for the WORST customer experience of our life. They put in our palm tree, completely botched it, apologized, and then it took them 2 MONTHS to replace it. Then they added two hibiscus bushes and REMOVED THE WATER LINES TO THEM THAT ALREADY EXISTED FOR OTHER PLANTS. Called again, they apologized, BUT TOOK THEM ANOTHER MONTH TO COME OUT. Every day they said they would call us back and have a manager come out and this went on for weeks. Then because there were not two water lines obviously those plants died. I definitively would not recommend purchasing from this company. I purchased two Ficus Column's and paid the additional $349.99 delivery and plant fee. The crew came on delivery day and installed the two Ficus quickly in a matter of 15 minutes. Within a week one Ficus was dead and within a month the other Ficus was dead. I called the nursery to report this and check on replacements, to which they took the report and stated a manager would be calling soon. Ten days later, I received a call and the response was only a $55 discount for each new Ficus and even though the planting took them 15 minutes, to pay the $349.99 delivery and plant fee again. I declined their offer not willing to pay at the end, another delivery and plant fee charge for a product they don't support with a warranty. $641 spent that lasted less than a month. read more

I purchased a lemon tree and a protection plan from them last fall. This plan ensures that I have 4 appointments throughout the year for them to come out and assess the tree. With the early heat wave it is not doing well. I have called the store several times, the pro team several times, emailed relentlessly, and called the corporate line who left messages with managers. I have not heard a response back which is very disappointing. You choose medium and large shrubs but then what is delivered was completely different! teeny tiny bushes delivered and you paid for the large plants! You need to babysit them or they will scam you!! Two things were good my Pygmy palm and palo verde tree! The rest was poor--5 bushes, and one died the next day after planted! the planters know zero about the drip lines so watch them! If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with Moon Valley Nurseries at the Chandler location was genuinely awful. We purchased five Italian Cypress trees in May 2024 for $1,250. We tried twice to pick them up but were told they weren't ready. The salesperson promised he would personally get them and deliver them to our home. We trusted him and trusted the company. That trust was a mistake--we never got the trees and received no communication from them for 18 months. When we finally went back hoping to resolve the issue, we were told the receipt (issued by them!) had "expired" after 12 months. Instead of helping us, both the cashier and manager were combative. The manager even raised her voice at us. Then, unbelievably, the salesperson who had promised delivery falsely claimed he had helped us "load the trees," basically accusing us of lying. Corporate customer service wasn't any better. The regional director offered us only two small $120 cypress trees as the final resolution. After everything we went through, this felt disrespectful and dismissive. This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences we've ever had. We walked away feeling hurt, accused, and taken advantage of. We will never return and hope others think twice. read more

I've driven pass this location 100 times or more, and have always wanted to stop .. especially, during the Holiday Seasons when it's festive. I finally stopped! MANNY was the first to come to my aid. He is such a GREAT HUMAN!!! Manny first explained, how many staff were on board to assist customers and then, he asked if he could walk with me respectfully in the 111° in case, I had questions, and Manny taught me many things that, I didn't know about planting/ gardening in which, I actually am glad that he taught me. We were only able to walk 1 row before I was like, " um yeah, it's too hot out here" . I actually stopped here, for indoor bamboos but, they only have the huge outdoor ones. They didn't have many indoor plants They have such a great variety of plants here. Most of their huge plant's go outside with prices starting at $29.00 which would look great on an outdoor patio or even, in the front door, of your home. I explained to Manny that, I noticed that the Dinosaur exhibits were facing inward to the business (which, I later found out that, a local Artist makes the dinosaurs and other metal animals) and that, the artwork would look great in a garden and should face the street instead. I did recommend to Manny that, the business should place the local artist exhibits, facing the street rather the inside of the business because this may help to gain even more customers attention and make them want to stop! Plus, it would be cute for the kids to see. If you see a dinosaur and 2 baby dinosaurs facing the street... It was my idea and recommendation. Kudos to them for taking my advice, in advance! ‍ In the meanwhile, although it's super hot outside, stop in, take a quick walk down a isle or 2 and pick out some plants. They do offer a cold water while you browse, to help you stay hydrated. Before you ask: NO, I NEVER TOLD Manny that I would write a review, until at the very end when I told him that I would do a review and give them a great one due to his customer service. Manny asked me to take his photo by the exhibits so that, he can take my advice and prove that they would move the exhibits since he loved my idea. ( You're Welcome to the local Artist) ‍ Manny asked if he could walk me to my vehicle while disgusting the exhibits that I inquired about, and even offered to take a photo next to the exhibit as proof that he would turn them around as per my suggestion. He asked me to post his photos to remind myself that I suggested this everytime I drive by. Lol He's a fun guy and I'm sure that his coworkers/ employees appreciate this vibe. All-in-all I'm going to give them 5 stars. I've had some issues along the way, but my salesman Daniel has been wonderful to work with. He is very helpful, kind, and listens to what my wants and needs are and makes suggestions to accomplish what I'm looking to do. I do wish they'd have better pricing for smaller properties. Not everyone lives in a 3500 sq ft home with a large yard. You have to take care of the smaller properties too! They are just as important. BUYER BEWARE! Danny Wichman is a very nice man and a talented landscape designer. My yard looks really good. But looks are deceiving. The Chinese Pistache tree that I purchased a couple of years ago, had shown signs of poor health immediately after planting. It has many nodules with sap on the trunk. Danny knows that I know nothing about desert trees and plants. He tells me this is normal for some of these trees. But his planting crew does NOT agree with him. This expensive tree has ALWAYS been in poor health which is upsetting. Why doesn't Danny just admit that I inadvertently got a lemon? Instead, Moon Valley Nurseries has taken advantage of me and my hard earned money. I also had 3 Chinese Pistache trees from Chips Tree Services planted and, thankfully, none have these unsightly and unhealthy sap running nodules. I don't know what to do about my sick Chinese Pistache tree that I got from Moon Valley Nurseries. It's in my, otherwise attractive, front yard for all to see. Raymond Sauve took the time to push my issue up the chain. It ultimately landed in the lap of Arborist Danny Molina. This young man was arguably one of the most efficient and helpful individuals, and upon his in-person visit, he immediately proposed a fair and equitable solution. Wise beyond his years, he actually understands the importance of customer service and followup. Just had my new Red Push Pistache tree planted by Cesar and his crew. They were so kind and quick. Not only is this tree well on its way to a happy life, Cesar's crew provide great instructions for watering and feeding so I can make sure it will grow and provide some great shade. I have purchased a large tree like this before so I can't say if this is a value or not, but I will say yes. The care and instruction by all the employees really makes it a value. Prior to large tree being planted they do all the heavy lifting with getting the area blue staked so they don't hit anything important. I never thought of that, but it's a very good idea. We will certainly go back for more wonderful plants as we get ready for summer.. read more
