One star reviews are not my jam, but if you worked hard enough to earn it here it is. We called for a deep cleaning before listing our house. $420 for 8 AM to 12 PM which turned into being there a 9 AM and leaving 3 high school kids at my house with nothing to do for 1 hour. When they asked what we wanted done and a request for a deep cleaning was not enough information I should have realized this was a do as little as possible operation. Half the blinds were not dusted. No high touch wall surfaces were cleaned. No cobwebs were disturbed, and only a few base boards were wiped down. I would not recommend them or return. read more

On Tuesday 7/2/19 I hired Modern Maids cleaning service and paid $200 for their "Deep Clean Package." Upon my return home I noticed that none of the item on the list were performed. I contacted the representative to let her know that the work was not completed and she advised me that they would be back the following day to complete the service. The following day items in my home were vandalized and my security camera caught the staff making rude remarks and standing in the living room. I immediately contacted the representative and was promised a refund. My calls and texts are now being ignored and I have not yet received my promised refund. BEWARE! So, I saw many good reviews for this cleaning service. Saw it on Groupon and figured I would use them. Well, I sure was wrong. An employee severely scratched my refrigerator using a brillo pad or something. Contacted the owner, Cassidy, she tried to fix the damage herself, bought product from Home Depot, and she made it worse. She even said she made it worse. Told me she is sorry for the damage, stands 100% behind her service and will fix this. She asked if I wanted a new refrigerator, told her I believed that would be unreasonable, just want it fixed. She stated, "Once this is resolved, I will give you a free cleaning." Stated, she has let the employee go, not because of this incident, but for other reasons. Told me she is trying to grow her business, makes $15,000 a month, trying to make it $30,000 a month. That is all nice and good, but you have to take responsibility for damage you do along the way. She refuses to take my calls. I think she hopes I will just go away. This is so sad. This is how you run a business? 100% behind your name. Well it SUCKS! Groupon said they contacted Cassidy the owner of Modern Maids and she would contact me in a couple of days. That was over a month ago. Believe the bad reviews! I completely regret not trusting my extinct and going with another company. This review is particularly for the girl who books and answers the phone, Cassie or Cassidy can't remember the name. First off the girls were late: when booked I was told I was the first house at 8 AM. I called at 9 AM to confirm the time and I was told they were on their way and should be there by 9:30 AM, I called back at 10:30 because no one had shown up still and I had to leave for work but their girls eventually got there sometime after 11 AM. Cleaning: Debbie and her team did very well. I did have water issues in which I had no idea about. I was on the phone with the city for over an hour to find out why the water wasn't coming on. I swung by the house and they did a good job with the little water they had. The floors needed to be mopped thoroughly and I had confirmed twice if they would be able to do it and they assured me it would be done. I even drove to my own home to grab two 5 gallon water bottles so they wouldn't have issues cleaning it. I even left each of the girls cash tips for the water inconvenience because I felt really bad. As I returned to the rental house that evening the floor looked untouched. I texted Cassi and sent pictures to relay my concerns to her and I received such an unprofessional response (pics attached). She then called me and was extremely rude and unprofessional and I got very upset too. Debbie was on 3 way during this call and everyone was just talking over each other and nothing was getting resolved. I kept mentioning how I specifically asked would the floors be done and even after confirmation they were not and Cassi kept blaming me for the water issue. Which again I did admit and I had no idea that the water wouldn't run but then again I did bring by water gallons to get the floors mopped. As Cassi proceeded to raise her voice and be unprofessional I had simply stated I was not going to pay the $600 for a "deep clean" that was not even done and I would dispute the charges with my bank. Cassi then stated, "your going to pay from your house don't be surprised when you find your windows and things from your house broken". I couldn't believe she threatened me like that while trying to run a business. No apologies, no trying to make it work, nothing! Just straight verbal abuse and threats to damage the property of someone, who by the way, works for authorities. She said having security cameras and calling the cops wouldn't stop her! I was astonished, but thankfully I recorded the telephone conversation. Debbie did call me back within a few minutes of that phone conversation and in an extremely calm tone. She apologized for the inconvenience and I apologized as well and let her know I do respect and appreciate the hard work her and the girls did. But if they couldn't complete the job I should have been informed from the start which I had not been. Again over all Debbie was a pleasure to work with, in my honest opinion she should be the one running the company. We were able to settle gracefully because of her mannerism. But unfortunately I will never use this company nor recommend to anyone else because of this experience and threats that were made to me and my home. read more

I was visiting my daughter in the area and wanted to help her out and get her house cleaned. The gals arrived very courteous and professional. I hired them to do a deep cleaning and they were very impressive I. The amount of work they got done in three hours. The left the house spotless. Cleaned all the appliances, made the beds, mopped floors, cleaned baseboards, dusted, cleaned slider House was left smelling fresh I have my home cleaned weekly and wished we had this team come and clean my house!!!! My first review is at the bottom. After posting the review I was contacted by the owner. After a very nice conversation with her, I agreed to let them come back. Wow! I am so glad I did!! The owner showed up first, we discussed what was wrong. She is such a sweet woman! The team (3 ladies) did a spectacular job!! Everything was done amazingly!! Everything that was not touched before was spotless && not only that but the whole house was redone, top to bottom!! I now have a house cleaning service I can recommend! Thank you Modern Maids for taking care of my house! We will be calling you again! 1st review I had such high hopes for this to work out! I contacted them and arranged for a deep cleaning to be done in my home. The ladies arrived on time (but it took them 30 minutes to gather all throw stuff outside my home) then as I was showing them around my house, I was told that they were there to do a basic cleaning... not what I had arranged or paid for. After contacting the owner/manager she corrected that issue. They were here for around 3.5 hours. When they were done, I went on a walk through with one of the ladies and I should have paid more attention!! Once they left we noticed all kinds of stuff that was half-assed and rushed over. My oven, microwave, bathtub, stove and toilets were all super clean! But the outside of the master shower had gunk all over it still, the baseboards were not done all the way, areas that should have been dusted were not touched, oven hood looked like someone started to clean it then changed her mind. Hired this company to clean my house for a move out. They showed up late, without a vacuum?? One of the bathrooms was not even touched. Ceiling fans were never cleaned, refrigerator was not touched. It was really a poor job. I contacted the owner and she offered to send the crew back out, but why would I have them come again if they could not clean an empty house the first time? In my opinion it was really kind of embarrassing. I do not mind paying for a quality service, but this was bad. Owner said the team was there for 5 hours.......the house should have been spotless, it was not. Maybe it was a fluke?? I will let you decide. I would not use them ever again. read more

Save yourself frustration and money, go through any other company. I've used Modern Maids a few times to clean my house and I've always appreciated the communication from the owner and punctuality of the ladies. However after my last experience with this company, I will be taking my business elsewhere and want to warn others of the treatment I received. I set up an appointment for a deep cleaning of my house and was charged $185. I was told the ladies would be there in the morning between 8-12pm. However, they did not show up until 1:43pm with no courtesy phone call prior to let me know they were running late (like any respectable company would do). This was a huge inconvenience to me since I had family waiting at the house to open the door for them when they got there. They were at my house for one hour....and they still charged me $185. This "deep" cleaning I received was far from what they describe on the website. Things were left completely untouched, others half way done. It was very obvious that they were in a hurry. I am a very understanding customer however for charging me this much for what I received is not fair whatsoever. When the owner called about my satisfaction with the cleaning she asked for photos of the areas I noticed. She kindly scheduled for them to come out today and re-clean, letting me know they would be there between 12-4pm. At 3:30 I texted the owner to confirm that I was still receiving the re-clean. At that time she told me that one of the cleaners called out. I had received no courtesy call (again) letting me know that they wouldn't be coming out today. I don't understand how a company can take money from you, do a below average job, then try to make it right...and then not. I'm very frustrated and want to help people know to avoid this company. If I could give less than 1 star I would. This company completely ripped us off. I placed the deposit and spoke to them confirming what services and cleaning they would be providing; asked if cabinets interior and exterior, walls wiped down, doors wiped down, fans, blinds etc would be cleaned and was promised that was all part of the deep clean. Unfortunately, what was actually done was at best a general, surface clean. The owner was nothing short of unprofessional in how she handled the critique and request to have areas redone. In fact, she ordered her cleaners to leave and not finish but still demanded to be paid. Stay away from this company and go elsewhere. read more

My granddaughters gave me a gift certificate for a top of the line cleaning. They came yesterday & were here for 4 hours while I was busy with friends & when I got the call that they were done I came home. The house reeked of bleach & I had to open all of the windows to air it out. I expected a great experience but that is not even close to what was presented. Some items not done at all. My TV in the living room was on & displaying the Roku screen saver so I must assume they watched a movie or? My home was all picked up & no messes were there for them to clean so expecting a wonderful full service house cleaning was not too much to expect for $200. If they did the exterior of my cabinets it was not apparent to me. They either did not vacuum my living room rug or did a very shoddy job since I found pieces of thread & bits of other things like crumbs & there is no excuse for that. This home is less than1300 sq. ft so we are not talking a huge task. The refrigerator was on their list to clean but that was not done either as well as no dusting of my sewing table where there was pieces of thread & bits of material as well as dust, had they even looked.The magnifying make up mirror in my bathroom was not touched. Still had hairspray & dust all over it. A poor service like this certainly turns one off of ever doing it again. The owner in my opinion should have contacted me to see if I was happy with the job. Worst experience ever. Do not use this company. Hired them for the deep-clean service to clean before I moved into my new home. They showed up past the time they had specified. They were not professional and I could hear them complaining to each other about my house while they were walking through. They cleaning my house for only 1.5 hours and said they would leave and come back the next day?!? They didn't clean well at all. I contacted the office to say what a bad job they had done and they were very rude to me and said I was "impossible to please". Needless to say they still charged me $275 for some awful vacuuming of bedrooms and cleaning of baseboards which I ended up having to clean myself. read more

It gives me no pleasure to give negative reviews, but I have to be honest, I don't want anyone else to experience what I did. The girls were friendly work they did was ok, but not complete or thorough. The bigger issue was the manager/dispatcher and the absolute lack of professionalism with which this business is run. So, here is my story and the reason I gave them one star: I bought a groupon and made an appointment for a two hour cleaning from 2-4 one day before a dinner party. We usually do our housework, but anticipating that there would be a crew here the day before the party, I kept everything picked up but left the cleaning (mopping, dusting, etc) for them. The day of the appointment arrived. I boarded the dog for the afternoon so he would not be in their way. 2:30 arrives, no crew. At 3 I called and was told that the appointment was for an arrival between 2-4, and they would be at my house closer to 4. At 4:00 I called again and was told they would be on their way soon and that the manager would call me when they were about 20 minutes away. At 5:30 I called again and was connected with the housecleaner herself. She suggested we reschedule for the next day. I agreed and asked for a morning appointment. She said they only had 2-4 available. I said that I was expecting people and needed them gone in the early afternoon so I could cook and get myself ready. She said she would personally come at 10 with a crew of 4 and knock the house out in about 90 minutes. Sounded great, so I agreed. Day 2, 10 a.m. arrives and no cleaners. At 10:15 I called, no answer. Tried the 800 number, it was out of service. Called at 10:30 and connected with the manager. When I told her what was going on, she said they had no record that I was expecting them at 10, and that I had declined the 2-4 time slot. Once again I reviewed my conversation from the day before with Joann, the housekeeper, she was told it was not possible and that the housecleaner had the day off. So, I am hours away from a dinner party, I have been waiting for 2 days for them to arrive, have not yet picked up the fresh stuff I needed to cook, etc. To say I was a bit stressed out and angry is an understatement. She offered to send them at 2, right after their noon appointment. Desperate I said ok but they had to be done by 4. She promised to call me when they were 30 minutes out so I could go out and shop. I shopped, got home by 2...no crew. I started cleaning myself, dusting the front room, cleaning the bathroom, polishing the granite countertops. I called again at 3 and was told they were on their way. Note, I had to call, she did not call me as promised. They arrived at 3:40. I tried to be nice but I was fuming inside. I told them what had happened and asked them to forget about cleaning the bedrooms except the master, and to just clean the 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and front room. I told them I had already scrubbed the sinks, counter, and mirror in the hall bathroom so they didn't need to do that...just do the toilet, shower and floor. They started in the master, did an ok job. The room looked and smelled nice. When I walked past the hall bath, the girl was cleaning the counters and mirror...exactly what I told her not to do. When they left that room, the towels were bunched up and thrown on the towel bar, the shower doors were cleaner but not great and the soaps, hand towels, etc that were on my counter were all lined up, not arranged as they had been. May sound picky but I had told her not to do the counter and already had everything arranged so it was just one more thing I had to deal with. At 4:30 one of the girls called to me and said, "My boss said we can only spend an hour at your house. I am sorry but we have to leave. We did not clean your kitchen or front room, we did the best we could". ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Those are the rooms my guests will be in. So they spent their time doing the things I asked them not to and didn't touch the rooms that were a priority. I quickly dressed for my guests and then started both prepping and cleaning. Thankfully, hubby was able and willing to come home early (from a grueling day) and help out. What was meant to be a help, a treat, turned into a stressful nightmare. Like I said, I clean my own house so, had I known how unreliable they were, I would have skipped the treat and just cleaned one room a night after work and it would have all been fine. So, party was great, thankfully I have friends who are not critical and have a good sense of humor...and I had a great story to tell! But, I would NEVER recommend this company. read more

I received a promo text from them advertising a move out clean. I was in the market for a move out clean! Ive had bad experiences with this company in the past, but there isn't much else in this area unless you just hire an individual instead of a company. Or so I thought. Being Navy means sometimes being ignorant to your surroundings. I wish I had done my research and seen that there are plenty more options. I had received another promo text from Modern Maids in the past advertising carpet shampooing. Several of these advertisements, actually. So when I wrote Modern Maids back indicating that I'd like a move out clean, including a FULL CLEAN (always surprised me that I had to actually indicate the obvious to them over and over) windows, fans, appliances, blinds, carpet shampooing etc, the person on the other end, Jennifer, wrote me back and said "yes, all of that is included." Score, right? There's no way they can screw up a move out clean in a completely empty house especially if I'm there to assess things and ensure nothing is missed again. Not so much. The morning of this move out clean, this same phone number that had been texting me promos and confirmations and just general conversation about the house and cleaning (square footage and stuff), messaged me to say "the girls will be there at 10." We had an 11:00 appointment. I wasn't at the house because it was entirely empty. We were in another town in a hotel. I wrote back to say "ok, someone will be there an hour early to let you in." I also asked that she please ensure that everything we had already discussed was going to be covered in the clean, unlike the last time I used their services, in order to avoid having to reschedule a second cleaning. I listed all the things I listed the previous week that they confirmed but this time, an hour and a half before they were supposed to show up, I was informed that they don't offer carpet shampooing. Well wait. You quoted me a price that included carpet shampooing, just a week prior. How can that be? I am awaiting the Navy to ship me overseas in just a couple of days and I have had this appointment with this company for over a week but now I'm told that the services they offered, advertised and confirmed, are no longer available to me, putting me in quite a position to have to get things figured out last minute, literally. This isn't even the worse part. Jennifer tells me "we should just cancel because I don't think we can meet your expectations." This leaves me shocked and very worried, scrambling to figure out how I can get this sorted out in only a couple of short days. Jennifer then refuses to give me the managers contact info and wildly and very randomly accuses us of being unable to pay or potentially having a home that is "too soiled" for their services. These women have been in my house multiple times and know very well that not only can we pay, but our house in the past, albeit cluttered with clothes, is ANYthing but soiled. And it's an entirely empty house. It has never been "soiled" beyond the average dust layer and soap scum. Also, we have never had any issues paying. Have also paid them on time the high price that they've asked for, every single time. To make matters as worse as they could be, Jennifer began to tell me that she knew where I worked and who I work with and what I do at my job and admitted that she had been soliciting information about me from my coworkers, about what, I have no clue. This was my last straw. That is disgusting. What business could she possibly have, using a customers name and information to solicit information about them from their job?? This is scary. I asked around town after this and found that Modern Maids has quite a reputation for poor service, price gouging and just plain human indecency. Yes, shame on me for ever even thinking of doing business with them more than once. Shame. On. Me. Do not spend your money here. read more

I am conflicted on the deep cleaning service we received. I am not sure on what was supposed to included/excluded with this package as my husband made the cleaning arrangements. However, for $200 I expected more. They arrived an hour late, thus pushing into cleaning while dark out. It smelled great when I arrived home. Everything looked good at first glance. (I did have to go around with broom and dustpan immediately after they left as I noticed they didn't move a tall candle holder in the hallway and there were still dust bunnies.). In the morning, when it was light out, I noticed they did not clean outside of the toilet bowls, ceiling fans were not cleaned, restroom light fixtures were not cleaned, mirrors were smeared and had overspray from whatever they cleaned counters with, decorative items on counters were not cleaned and picture frames in the restrooms were untouched as well. They did a great job cleaning the tub and oven. But, I wondered if fridge was part of the deal or if they forgot. I decided to contact Modern Maids and inquire if items that were left undone were supposed to be included in deep cleaning package or not. I have yet to hear back from them. We had Modern Maids come out yesterday for the "deep clean" package. I have to say we were disappointed. My bedroom was not dusted at all, and my parent's room was halfway dusted. The counters in my bathroom were not completely cleaned, and there were still dirty areas. They couldn't be bothered to move a hairspray can or a fan? The toilet seat lid was still dusty on top, and the glass shelf over the toilet (which my dad explicitly told them to clean) was still dirty. Also, the ceiling fans were not touched at all, even though they're included in the $185 package. For this amount of money, I expected more for my 80 year old parents. Someone posted a Modern Maids flier-type advertisement for Modern Maids Cleaning on Facebook, and so we gave them a call. The advertisement had very specific information about the services they provided. They came through with every single service that they advertised they provided. I ended up hiring them regularly for a while. I was always impressed with them, but one particular situation sealed my admiration for this business: One day, they were scheduled to clean and I COMPLETELY FORGOT. I did not prepare for them in the slightest. Usually, I make sure that everything is picked up so that they could get to the business of cleaning (plus not embarrass myself), and not worry so much about picking up after us. This one time, they knew they were scheduled to come, came in and cleaned the heck out of my entire house even though it was an out of control disaster. Still to this day, I'm embarrassed by what they had to clean. They could tell it wasn't normal and even texted me asking me if I still wanted them to clean because I hadn't left a check like I normally do. I told them that would be awesome, but I was so embarrassed by the state of the house. They replied to not even worry, they would take care of all of it! I had to cancel services because we need those finances to pay for pre school, etc. at the moment, but I look forward to the day I can hire them again! read more

I had Modern Maids come out on a Friday afternoon. Whoever answered my call was very professional and was prompt about the appointment. The ladies arrived on time and did an excellent job with the trouble spots that I had pointed out. They did an awsome job with the bathroom and tub/shower, refigerator, and stove/oven. Although they totally did an awsome job at some tasks, they seemed to have totally missed others or left it by the wayside. By the way, the house was totally empty. I spent an additional hour on the house the following day when I had a chance to look over the cleaning with a better eye. I had to vacume the whole house, it was pretty obvious that the girls did not vacuum the carpet at all. Because the house was totally empty, it might have looked like vacuuming was unnecessary or that you could get away with claiming that you vacuumed, but when I went over the carpet the next morning, there were all kinds of small trash here and there. This is how I know the ladies did not vacuum. They did however vacuum the master closet but that was because i went in there while they were packing up and picked up a few loose trash pieces so i asked them to revacuum the closet. Little did I know, they did not vacuum anywhere at all. There were many cabinets and drawers that were not wiped down and still had a lot of crumbs and spices. Worse yet, the cabinet faces around the stove were still oily and on top and bottom of the microwave had a tons of grease buildup. The top of the refigerator was also left very dusty. Behind the washer and dryer was also untouched. Truly disappointed ladies. I don't know if the issues that I pointed out were part of the package but for what I paid them+tip, it should have been. You guys did a great job with what I asked for but not much else was done. How could you have missed so may things. I guess it ultimately was my fault because I took a quick inspection after picking up my daughter from school, gave the ladies a thumbs up, and then paid the ladies off. I should have done a better job with the inspection but you would assume these girls know what they are doing when their job was to clean the whole house. Did nothing in bathrooms shower glass were same as they were before same water stains. I have to say them do this do that. I haven't had a regular maid service for years. I only tried this service because it said it was "family owned". I met with the owner (Cassidy) and she was very professional and nice. The ladies came to my home and were respectful of me and my home. I test maids when they first clean my home to see how they will do without me giving them a lot of direction. I was surprised at how detail oriented the workers were without me having to give them much direction. They even wiped off my door handles which is something I thought was one of my idiosyncrasies. I was happy that they validated me by wiping the germs off the door handles. Thank you Cassidy and staff for cleaning my home. read more

I manage over 25 rental units in the Clovis area so I have done business with a lot of cleaning services and I have to say that Modern Maids was the worst experience I have had in all my years. First when I called them to make an appointment I explained to the woman that I needed to get my son's house cleaned because he and his family had been in L.A. for 2 months due to very serious health issues. I explained to her that the family has a long haired cat and there was cat hair on the furniture and floors, she recommended the "Deep clean" package and I agreed. The appointment was made and I assumed they would get here at 1:00 and they would stay until 4:00...when they hadn't arrived by 2:45 I called and was told they had until 4:00 to get here...I guess I misunderstood. The woman in the office said they would be there between 3:00 and 3:30...they finally arrived at 5:00pm. I was very irritated to say the least and they sent the "owner" in to kiss up to me...she offered me dinner or she would take money off the bill...I declined and just asked her to please just do a good job so my son can recover from his surgery in a clean house...she promised that she would take care of it and she would make it up to me. I left at around 5:15 and I got a call at 6:45 to tell me they were done with my "Deep Clean". The house smelled nice and looked ok and I even told her (Cassidy?) I would be calling them again but upon closer inspection I could see that there was so much hair on the couch I could have made 2 cats with it !! I then found that they did not vacuum under the furniture...they didn't move the rugs in the bathroom to clean under them...they didn't move items off the kitchen counter to clean under them...they did not clean the T.V. screens...I could go on and on. I spent the next 4 hours cleaning the house myself because they did not "Deep Clean" anything...there were still crumbs on the cutting board. This is a 1,700 sq ft house and I didn't have them clean the office or the laundry room...I was charged $310.00 but to add salt to the wound they charged my credit card TWICE !! So after having to clean the house myself I had to sit on the phone with American Express to get things taken care of. Beware, this is a shady business !! Worst companies I've worked with, from the beginning. They started out quoting me at $150 less than what they ended up quoting me only 6 mo later. Each time they came, they'd up the price atleast by $50, even though my house was never in any worse condition. The only cluttered part of my house would be the clothes and I told them from day one, don't mess with the clothes. I gave them a designated spot to put my clothes, and I handled them myself. So it was an average cleaning job; I am a woman, I have a lot of clothes! -- again, I asked them to not worry about the clothes! Along with the price gouging, each time I paid for their services, I found that less and less was being done. The last time I used them, the master bathroom floor had a layer of dust and some of my hairs, indicating that that room hadn't even been touched. Also the shower wall had soap residue and shampoo wrapper stuck to it. Never been cleaned. Windows hadn't been touched. Every time I had them come out, I discussed and paid for a deep clean, their biggest package. One time we discussed them cleaning the fridge, which they didn't do and instead of coming out to clean it or offer a refund, they insisted that I never said I wanted the fridge cleaned. I had texts that proved otherwise. I let them dupe me on that one. We found clothes stuffed in every nook and cranny in the top of our closets, stuffed inside blocked off Antique furniture, under beds, and here is the worst: I had been missing my birth cert, soc sec card and all my diplomas and work licenses for like 10 months and even asked them multiple times if they had any clue where they could have stuffed them, (they were in an envelope in our office!) to which they ignored. The envelope was found at the top of a spare bedroom closet after I'd spent months having all of those documents replaced. After the unclean bathroom floor, windows and shower wall incident, I just decided I'd never work with them again, as I told them about the missed areas and was ignored. This is truly a shotty business, run by a lazy woman who hires lazy people and supports lazy practice. read more

I used this service on a recommendation from my mother as we were both moving homes within a couple weeks of each other and needed to have the properties deep cleaned. I called as was quoted under $300 for a "deep clean" of a house of a certain sqft. This is where some becomes my fault. I could not be there the day I scheduled them to come out to clean, which was the day before Thanksgiving. I was moving into our new place and we had to give the keys back for the old place by Friday. They came and cleaned. We check up on it Thursday morning (Thanksgiving) it looked like all they did was dry dust and mop. ALL the baseboards were still dirty, all the doors etc. I then had to spend my thanksgiving re-cleaning what they didn't do (and I paid them to do) and missed the day with my family. It took us HOURS. And they were there at our house for hours. I have no idea what they did in that time. Nothing was "deep cleaned". Will never use again, and I was looking to hire a regular cleaning service for our new home. read more

Modern Maids are far from professional. I hear the way Joanna talks to the ladies there to clean. The owner Cassidy quotes prices over the phone that sounds reasonable. When the ladies and gentleman actually made it out to my home the price went up $85.00. I feel like if she knows that she is going to charge more then she should state that upfront. Her catch is to have her crew start so that she uses that aganist you when she's about to boost her price up. The supplies they used in my home were aweful. I asked a young lady what was in her bottle she stated that she was not sure but she purchased it from the 99 cent store. How horrible to spend $5.00 on supplies for a job i paid over $300.00. Would give this company 0/5 if possible. Lot of people think reviews are written by grumpy people. I just have normal expectations and they couldn't get done before there first arrival! I had services with AEA cleaning services and they did a couple things that did not sit well with me so I had to move on a find another service. This place was next. Reasonably priced and could be the first service for the day. I am in Sanger and told I would get maid service at 830am on Wednesdays. Call and they said they don't even have my deposit from the original call on file nor do they have me on the schedule! I was furious at this lack of professionalism that I told them I do not want their services. They call back saying the "found" my deposit. How could you not find it the first time? Then they proceed to what is your address? I am in Sanger and they said that was the MANAGER mistake! Sanger can only come out on Fridays. Whoever signed me up and then the manager missed this too seems like they don't know how to operate their business. I told her the only business I would do is if they give me a free cleaning and that's it. Did not want continuing services from them. She said ok I will have somebody there within the hour. But as soon as I said Sanger, oh I can't have anybody out there, that will be difficult if I can get them out there today. NO THANKS. Avoid this place. AEA has left a bitter taste in my mouth that I am not giving anybody chances for my money. Like I said, I am not some angry, grumpy, pessimistic person going around reviewing companies negative for small things. Take the review and find another company please. read more
