Katie has been responsible for my hair since she started behind the chair 10+ years ago. She and her team have seen me through a million phases of my life and all of the highlights, lowlights, and gray blending that comes along with that. I am, like, the antithesis of girly. I've never had a pedicure. I thought Bird's barbershop was luxurious. However, the last few times I dropped in they had a super long wait (I know they do call-aheads but that was part of their charm, I didn't have to plan), so I asked my husband who loves to research things to find me a salon and I'd try a legit one. Between she and Katie, I not only received a beautiful haircut and style which had my coworkers raving the next day, they educated me on some products I should use and techniques for lazy girls with curly hair. I found Katie through a friend and visited her at her old salon. She did my makeup for a photoshoot (stunning!) and has been cutting my hair ever since. I keep my hair short in a fringy bob of sorts. It's baby fine and I don't like to mess with it much. Katie really took the time to get to know my hair - the first time she cut it she agonized over this one spot (my funky cowlick) and even had a trusted coworker come over and review. At first, this gave me a glimmer of doubt, but that cut came out great. It looked great on day one, and even looked good once it had grown out a bit. She has cut it at least three more times since and now doesn't have to think twice about how to cut my hair to make it behave. She has also given styling advice at how best to manage it. She listens to me and asks for feedback, but also offers her professional opinion.
