This is the only shop I have been trusting to work on my ride. They fixed every issue I had with my suspension aka death wobble during one visit. Next visit, It took sometime (3 months) for them to fix my rig after an accident due to issues with delays on my insurance coverage. So, I bought my 2015 many years ago and it's normal operating temp was around 205-212°F with 285/75r17's when i got it up to aboutand 2 yrs ago I put on 37's and drove through Vale Pass in Colorado and something changed and I've been having what I consider "Cooling Issues". I was told running between 220-225°F was normal all over the Forums, dealers, shops and by other owners. Replaced the radiator and t-stat due to a leak and didn't fix my "Perceived Cooling Issue". Also I was hitting 240°F on climbs in the mountains which never happened before. Fast forward to Thursday last week, I brought the jeep in for the oil cooler replacement after talking to Matt on the phone expressing oil leaking and smoking from the hood. He knew immediately it was that. Since the replacement I am now back to running at 205-212°F and only seeing 225°F on a long climb. Just wanting to say thanks to the team Modern Off-Road and Automotive for fixing the leak and by proxy my Cooling system. read more

***Jeep Update*** For our friends, family and fellow off-road enthusiasts, we have good news and bad news. Good news....we have the Jeep back! Bad news....it is STILL not trail ready! First, we have always been big supporters of locally owned businesses and try to give great reviews whenever possible. However, we feel the need to share a very negative experience this time, especially since we learned about this shop from one of our local Jeep groups. We took it to Modern Off-Road 6 months ago to have 3 issues fixed. After several "fixes", multiple excuses, dodging our calls and messages, and just flat out lies, we finally showed up and TOOK it back today. Guess what! Nothing has been fixed and yet we have paid over $3k and waited all this time! It is their lack of empathy and customer service that has prompted me to write this. As you can imagine we are beyond frustrated. All you have to do is listen to their business line voicemail and you'll get a good idea of how this business is run. read more

Do not return calls or follow up. Work is sub-par and sloppy. They do too much creative engineering. Now what mean?

This shop with screw you over! They cut corners and then place blame else where. You'll end up paying them and then another shop to fix their wrongs. Matt is a smooth talker so basare of that as well. He will fabric some story to make it sound like he is the victim. read more

I had a very severe death wobble. Matt contacted my extended warranty company and got authorized to replace most of my Fri t end components. This was even though I only had 600 miles left on the warranty. Since the repair I have had no death wobble issues. So happy now. He also professionally installed my GMTS radio. They went out of their way to give advice with what to look for when buying and offered to go through any jeep I may be serious about. From October 2022, my jeep was in the shop for 3 minors problems that could have been easily taken care of within a week(1 shock, 1 brake line, and a rear bracket). As a person who really wanted to like this shop as much as i like the work that they put out, my experience with them were full of lies. For 5 months my jeep was at the shop and nothing was getting done. Calls every Friday about parts and getting it done were never brought into action, even asking if the parts have been shipped out when in reality they were never ordered. You would think a shop that specializes for off-roading would get the job done quick, but it was the opposite and had to be towed out. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking there was a lot of work to be done in the shop but they preferred other people's services over mine (I am thinking they make more money doing expensive services over mine but why couldn't they not do the simpler things first and get them out the way so they could finish both and kill 2 birds with 1 stone). Even when I brought my jeep in the shop i explained to them about selling it after getting serviced. I wanted minor thinks to be replaced like wiring, hardware, and even fluids but after the third month, i knew i was not going to get it serviced. There was only lies to me. One phone call shocked me when I called on the occasional Friday and the worker asked me how long was my lift, but previous to that they explained that my bracket and shock were installed. Even when I was picking up my rig from the shop, the part was still in transit after "2 months". Even had to jumpstart a new battery that I installed which showed the lack of them acknowledgment of moving or working on it. As i kept calling more excuses came. Their was one instance were i called and they explained that they were in california picking up parts, but little to my surprise I had their phone number as a contact and one day scrolling on TikTok i get post from them fixing up the shop's "Modern Off-Road" jeep which leads me to believe they were off doing something else. They wasted my time and my opportunity to sell my jeep and it still needs to be fixed to get it properly running on the road. Really sad to see that this shop lower my expectations when I really wanted to like it. I never review places but on this occasion I would rate it below a 1 if i could. read more
