Total auto pros sent me down a rabbit hole which ultimately cost me thousands of dollars in unnecessary work on my vehicle. I came to total auto pros because I was looking at an aftermarket bumper for my off-road vehicle. I found this shop and another in Mesa listed as a distribution and installation partner on the bumper manufacturers website. I found good reviews for their shop and found out that a lot of vehicle dealers bring them vehicles for modifications. It all sounded great. I called up the shop and spoke with a sales person and we discussed some modifications I was thinking about for my vehicle, he seemed fairly knowledgeable and friendly. I put in an order for some rock sliders and a new front bumper. The bumper arrived and was installed in January 2021. I took the vehicle off-road for about 1 mile and drove it back to the shop at the next possible time as I was out of town for a few weeks. There was what sounded like a can crushing in the front passenger side wheel. The shop mechanics checked their work and found nothing wrong and told me that there was a problem with my front coil over springs, they were warping due to a preload suspension spacer and it was the warping which is making the sound. Some back and forth I was convinced that I had an issue with my suspension. They quoted me about $7,000 for a new suspension faster which pint I started shopping around. I did get that suspension work done, unfortunately it didn't fix my problem. Neither did the next three parts of my suspension I replaced with shop number two. After the second shop couldn't find the issue, they handed me back my vehicle and sent me on my way. We are now in July 2021 and I've spent more money on modifying suspension than Id like to admit, none of which have resolved the crunching sound and now I'm on to shop number three. Shop number three diagnosed basically the last untouched part of my front suspension; which we did swap out, but turned out to again, not be the source of the problem. During their work, they did also successfully diagnose the issue to be with the installation of the front bumper; which I definitely already brought to the attention of total auto Pros back in March. In the end, I do have a badass suspension, I *only* threw away about $2000 in parts and labor due to doing work and then doing the same work again or unnecessarily swapping out good OEM parts for new OEM parts with which there was no off-road aftermarket alternative. This was six months of not having my vehicle is a safe operational state due to the unknown noise and lots of unexpected expense all because Total Auto Pros were too arrogant to accept that they had done a poor job of buttoning up the installation job they did on an aftermarket front bumper I purchased and had installed by them. I went to TAP for my 2023 Bronco to outfit it with a ton of options. Justin was dynamite from beginning to end. Super responsive and helpful with ideas. Very interactive with the parts department and acquisitions. He provided great guidance on different choices we were looking at with the pros and cons. I had some parts I purchased on my own shipped to the shop and that was no issue for them. There was even a snafu with delivery and they sent the wrong parts and Justin had no problem dealing with them directly and back and forth reshipping certain parts for me. My truck tires were scraping the fenders & I inquired on their website about what they can do to fix it. They responded super quick & they mentioned some possible solutions, either a level kit or cutting the fenders down, but recommended coming in to get it checked out. I went in the next business day and I was in and out within 20 minutes! They were honest and didn't have me do anything extreme to my truck, just offered to cut down the fenders. After several positive experiences with Total Auto Pros (TAP), I unfortunately had a not-so-great experience with my last project. TAP installed Rigid Fog lights for me, which looked great. But after 1 year one the support brackets cracked and it was out of the Rigid warranty. I learned from Rigid that the fog lights were NOT installed correctly. TAP did not use the correct screws (& lock nuts) and they did not install the 3rd plate for the support bracket system (its a 3 plate system). TAP made me pay for new brackets ($55) and offered to re-install. I lost trust -- so I completed the re-install myself with the assistance of the Rigid Help Desk and Youtube. I should have been reimbursed for parts and labor $$$ (for the original install). read more

TAP to the rescue, with their skills they were able to make things right. They modified my fenders to avoid rubbing and making it look like it came from the factory that way. Konrad exceeded my expectations by squeezing me in between appointments same day to fix the issue. In the future they have all my business in my vehicle upgrades. I wanted to get my Toyota leveled and get some better shocks. I searched around and found Total Auto Pros, and learned the dealerships send their new trucks to TAP for work. Like any good Toyota owner- I did a lot of research on products and install techniques and still had a bunch of questions. I called TAP and was connected with Juan. Juan could not have been nicer or more friendly. He answered all my questions and I could tell he was passionate about his career and knows his stuff. I made an appointment and dropped my truck off. They have a lot of cool stuff to look at there, however the shop isn't set up as a comfy place to wait for your vehicle. I suggest getting a ride somewhere else or getting an Uber to hang at Starbucks. My truck install took four hours and when it was done it was even better than I had hoped. It rides so much smoother and looks great. I really appreciate TAP and look forward to having a bunch more mods to my truck with them. read more

This place is the best! It's your one stop shop when it comes to outfitting your wheels. Whether you just need some and rims and tires or a total overlanding setup, they have you covered! Gregg is awesome! This guy gave us so much time and attention when we were there. Now, I just want to go hang out and talk shop with him ! He really really knows his stuff. We took my Lexus GX470 in for phase one: new Method 312 rims in bronze, Nitto ridge grapplers, new Toytech suspension with a 3" lift, 35% tint on the windows, running board delete, and airbag delete. While it was there, Gregg called me because there were a few issues he ran into: the front control arms were rusted out as well as the drivers side axle was leaking. Since we just moved here from Michigan, I knew the underbody was pretty rusted and we could potentially see some more issues. I was thankful he called me and didn't just ignore these. We are stoked for phase 2 on order now: a Gobi roof rack with wind deflector and ladder, SSO sliders, and a 40" rigid light bar! I can hardly contain my excitement ! Since we're super into camping, we are also going to be getting a custom rooftop tent, a refrigerator and some shelving built in the bacGuess what, Gregg can do it all!!! My husband is even going to go see them to get next week to get some new tint on his Ford Taurus SHO. Seriously, just go see Gregg at TAP, you're going to make a new friend! I sure did. read more

I bought a 2020 Tundra and with my purchase I got a level rim, tire and running board package. The first day I went into pick everything out Konrad was beyond helpful. I took my 8 yr old son so he could help pick stuff out and he asked Konrad about a million questions to which Konrad had an answer to everyone. We talked and figured if we shifted around some money that I could get more bang for my buck and I boy did I. I got so much more than I thought I could. On the day of install they had my truck done before rush hour traffic which was a request since we live over on the Far East side of Gilbert. I picked up my truck and was in love with the cool stuff that the shop did. That all got done on Friday afternoon, fast forward to Saturday night. We drove to Yuma for Mother's Day with my in-laws and my wife takes my mother in-law for a ride in our new truck and it's making a really bad clicking. I text Konrad at 9:30 pm and tell him about the issue not expecting to hear from him until Monday, 9:35 he asks for a video. I send it and by 9:50 he has contacted the owner Scott and the tech who's name I forget. They knew exactly what the problem was and told me to bring it in on Monday. On Monday morning I get there and I'm fixed and out the door in 20 minutes. This shop is amazing, it's huge, clean and very impressive. I've had lifted and leveled trucks before but no where has given the level of service that the team at Total Auto Pros have. I had a very bad experience in January 2019 With sales person Matt I had taken my vehicle in to have some basic work done and dealing with this Particular sales person was not a pleasant experience at all . This was the first time that I have had this type of bad service . He was not friendly actually rude on a few occasions was not informative about my vehicle for the time it was there . And the work that was done was terrible I paid basically over $300 for labor for nothing I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else and the management and or owner I hope they make sure that all customers are treated with respect and fairness coming to your shop which has been there for some years now. Short story: I've found my go to shop and 'guy' for everything 4x4. Longer story: I moved to the Phoenix area end of 2018, purchased a new Tundra, and started asking around about who to trust to modify it for my purposes. I was told more than once to look no further than Gregg Feinstein and Total Auto Pros. Sure enough... I met with Gregg, and explained to him my goals. I'm no stranger to wheeling and modifications (I've done everything from mild to wild, from stock to no longer street legal), but am totally new to the Tundra platform. I expressed my wants to Gregg, he listened, did NOT try to upsell me, explained what would work or not and why... from the first, he talked to me as if we'd known each other for years, and were just two buddies discussing a build over a couple of cold ones. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that. He didn't tell me what I should do, nor did he make me feel like I was wasting his time because I wasn't looking to go all out this time. Instead, he told me what would work best to achieve those goals based on his extensive experience, and gave me options within those recommendations. He also invited me to shop around, research and decide for myself if his steer was the right one for me. And it was. I decided, we worked together, and if I don't say so myself, we nailed it. Also, his followup. He's checked in with me, addressed a service issue that was probably my fault at no cost to me, and has generally stayed in touch to make sure I'm happy and enjoying what we've built. Customer service doesn't get better than that. There are several good options in the area. But take this suggestion to heart: before deciding on who to trust your rig with, talk with Gregg and TAP. It will be YOUR fault. The entire staff was courteous and knowledgeable. John, at the counter, answered every question I had and offered excellent advice. Juan was also very helpful. Misaligned joints, loose bolts and control arm lock nuts. Drive angles off so far that damage to parts resulted. That's just some of the problems. It's as if these guys are complete rookies. I had to completely re-install the whole lift kit myself just to ensure it's proper function, exactly what I didn't want to spend my time doing. I absolutely do not recommend Total Auto Pros for Jeep work. They talk a good game of professionalism but their work is hardly professional. They will not stand behind their work. And worst of all, they blame and accuse their customers to cover up the low quality they put out. The owner acted like a complete imbecile. He was a jerk and accusatory. Out of his mind if you ask me. This is my one and only dealing with Total Auto Pros. read more
