Modern Urgent Care attempts to come off like a professional place but instead is full of a bunch of unprofessional millennials and young kids who don't know how to not be on their phones and laughing and giggling to each other when people come in with real problems. They don't take all insurances and WARNING TO ALL FEDERAL EMPLOYEES- they won't take our Federal benefits for some weird reason despite the fact that we are likely some of the best insured demographics they get. He was able to prescribe him some medicine for his cough and breathing! Ginther even offered my son a breathing treatment but he wanted to go home! We got there at 6:15 and we were out by 6:50! I highly recommend Modern Urgent Care! I developed a horrible cough overnight, it seemed like. The chest pain was incredible, but my regular Dr could not see me for 2 days! Modern Urgent Care got me right in (seriously, waited like 5 minutes in the lobby), gave me a breathing treatment right there (regular Dr wouldn't have done that I'm sure) and called in a prescription to my pharmacy! They are wonderful people, and I will use them again in the future if the need arises! read more

Unfortunately, the doctors office that I go to they never answer their phones.. appointments over the phone are 3 months out which is bs. So I always end up coming here for anything that I need that is more of an ASAP visit, not a full on emergency. Everytime I come here I always get A+ service. The staff is super kind, friendly and understanding. I always feel comfortable coming to this urgent care. I've never had a bad experience. I also like how up to date the inside of the building is. Other urgent cares sometimes feel / look a old! I recommend coming here I always have made an appointment online to come in, but while I've been there I have seen them many times take no appointment patients back super fast! I also like how they call me a few days after to check in and make sure that the medicine or whatever I was seen for is working or if I'm feeling better, and if they could do anything else to help if I still had symptoms. I had a good experience here with a short wait time and attentive staff. There were physician assistants there rather than doctors--but they could speak English (went to school in the US) and spent more time accessing and testing than other Urgent facilities I have been too. Both my son and I had to go here multiple times and we will definitely be coming back again. They also had good follow-up on lab results and called me right back after. read more

Came here for the first time the other day, my primary doctor is out of Fridays and i was coming down with bronchitis so i checked this urgent care out, and i was very pleased. Ive been to another urgent care here in Manteca and it was dirty, long waits, unfriendly staff, but Modern Urgent Care was clean, nice, short wait and friendly staff, doctor was very friendly and made sure he informed me on all meds i needed. On top of it they give you a follow up call to make sure you're doing better. If i ever have to go an Urgent Care again I'll definitely be coming to this one! read more

There has been a serious lack of great quality Urgent Care centers in Manteca forever! I have had a lot of bad experiences. I heard through the grapevine about Modern Urgent Care and hesitantly decided to try it when my daughter had a virus she was just not able to kick in a reasonable amount of time. We headed in expecting a completely packed waiting room and a 3-4 hour wait like all the others. To my surprise we walked in to a very nice and clean and EMPTY waiting room. I was greeted warmly by the male behind the desk who promptly checked us in. Filled out forms on a tablet which was nice and sped up the whole process. We were called back to the room before I even finished! A very bubbly nurse practitioner intern from UOP came in first and introduced herself and who she was and explained her internship, etc. She was amazing with my daughter. She cane up with her proposed diagnosis and then went and got the actual doctor. This whole process took no longer than 10 min. He then came in and verified her initial diagnosis. This guy was also amazing and totally hysterical. Even made my daughter laugh despite her feeling miserable. He had her all fixed up and feeling on the mend within 24 hours. They even called days later to make sure she was ok! We will definitely be coming back here in the future. I really hope that they are able to maintain this same great service for years to come and don't become like the others in the area! read more

I was told they're taking walk ins, I went tried to set up an appointment because I've been having a severe ear pain. Once i got to the front I waited about 5-10 minutes while the lady finished up setting up an appointment with a patient. Finally I got up there, told her I needed to be checked and why, she told me to set up an appointment online ... i thought it was an urgent care ? I needed to be checked because it was URGENT . I went in on Sunday at 9 am with my 7 year old daughter. Going in I was t looking forward to it because who wants to spend hours a waiting room on a weekend waiting to see a Dr. This experience was the complete opposite of what I was expecting. As soon as we walked in we were promptly met with a warm greeting. The nurse at the front took my ID and insurance and the verification process was quick and simple. Huge plus is there wasn't a ton of paperwork to do. In fact it was like 3 pages on an IPad of answering simple questions. When we got called to the back the nurse that took my daughters vitals was great. He explained everything to my daughter in terms she could understand as to why he was doing what he was doing. Instead of focusing all the questions on me to answer he included my daughter in the process which put her at ease. After a short wait we met the Dr. We were seen by Dr AJ who has an incredible bedside manner and made everything very easy for us. After seeing us my daughter and I attempted to leave but she began throwing up in the parking lot so we walked right back into the office and Dr AJ immediately took us right back in with no waiting. It was very refreshing to have a Dr that was very compassionate and didn't come off as inconvenienced because we had returned. Instead he seemed determined to find out what was wrong with my daughter before we left. As a parent that really helps out your mind at ease. Nobody likes to be sick and have to go to the Drs but this was an overall excellent experience. From the first person you see all the way to the Dr everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Not that I want to have to come back anytime soon, but next time it's needed we will be going here for sure. read more

Friendly and warm welcoming staff. Well maintained establishment smells fresh and clean. Been here twice with my niece and nephew for a cold. We walked in at 10:30am and were out by 10:50am. Medications get sent electronically no need to wait for a prescription. The PA AJ gave each of my nephews a lollipop on our way out. I've been to this urgent care twice already, the first time I went was in May 2018 I didn't have insurance so paid out of pocket. The staff was extremely nice and helpful they had a great doctor attend me and a UC Davis student watch and help. I felt horrible but the experience was really personal and great. It took a little long but I'm glad they did everything they could to find out why I was sick. I went again in November of 2018, this time with insurance. The staff again was lovely, a different UC Davis student is the one that attended me and she was great as well. I didn't even see the doctor (Dr. David Baro) until the end this time and only because I asked for a doctors note. I asked for over three days because the amazon warehouse I work at doesn't accept less than 7days. He came in with an attitude, extremely rude saying he wouldn't do it because it was the law. I told him the previous doctor had, he then lowers himself and gets in my face in an intimidating fashion (he's a bigger guy) and starts talking to me like a child saying he "ain't" the other doctor. I told him he didn't have to be rude or give me an attitude. If you can't do it then you can't do it but there is no need to be rude to your patients. (If the previous Dr. offered to give me more than 3 days off I'm sure there's a reason I do not mean to imply any laws were broken.) The only reason I left 2 stars is because of the staff and the previous doctor. But I recommend no one comes here if Dr. David Baro is going to be your Medical provider. Shortly after leaving a review I got a phone call from the manager addressing the situation and my concerns. Again this just shows how great the staff is and why I returned here even though there's closer urgent cares to where I live. The only problem was my experience with Dr. David Baro. read more

To put this very briefly: they violated patient confidentiality & do not have an organized operation as I understand seeing patients outside is a method to attempt to prevent any airborne covid exposure but whatever they thought they were doing with a line right next to the station that has no privacy walls up where its needed.. its breaking HIPAA. On top of that calling patients at 9:20 pm? Then not having proper answers when calling back during professional hours the next day? I understood their rapid testing was new but theres NO excuse to this level of blatant unorthodox treatment/care for patients. I am lucky i work in healthcare to know the laws and standards that patients SHOULD be receiving. I'd be weary about getting services here. Retraining all employees regardless of longevity and experience is truly necessary for me to ever consider coming to receive urgent care. read more

I want to be anonymous and stay anonymous due to safety concerns I have a list of things that are wrong about this Urgent Care in Manteca *MA's talk a lot of crap and laugh at patients about there medical conditions and diseases *MA's in the front office seem to be very annoyed and irritated when picking up phone calls from patients or when patients ask a question about something they don't know *Mocking patients how they dress, talk, and look *Gossiping and using their phones I CAN GO ALL DAY In conclusion I had a terrible experience, the people working at Modern Urgent are very rude and not very professional at all, they seem to put on this fake persona of "I'm here to assist and help you with anything you need" when in reality there very unhappy working at the place their at. Doctor carefully listened to my concerns and prescribed antibiotic( just in case if symptoms get worse) , also did test on strep infection which came out negative. I took my daughter in right after school since she was complaining about an earache. The staff was very nice and the check in process was quick. No paperwork to fill in all was done on an Ipad which was very convienent since my daughter wasn't feeling well and I had to hold her. I had an appt for covid testing which I had done at the Manteca site. Never spoke to a Dr. But received an EOB from my insurance showing that they billed a new patient office visit with a modifier 95 which means a video visit. I never spoke to a Dr in my life from this facility. The same for my husband. I reported them to my insurance and the department of justice. If the same has happened to you report them call 866-720-5721 National center for disease fraud or file a complaint online https://www.justice.gov/disaster-fraud/webform/ncdf-disaster-complaint form. Hands down the best urgent care center around! My boyfriend has no insurance (yes yes I know, but he just switched jobs and is not yet eligible..), and had been very sick for weeks. I was afraid it was pneumonia, and remembered driving past this new Urgent Care center that had just opened. I sent him down, and he said not only was he seen right away the staff were amazing and the doctor was fantastic! They treated him, performed a breathing treatment and the doctor even sent over medication to the pharmacy he knew he could afford out if pocket (he looked up the costs before submitting). We are so thankful for this great new place!! The best part is it was super affordable ($129 I believe) for the full exam!! That's less than any Emergency Room!!
