We wound up getting a prefilter and two softener units that require no electricity and provide a constant supply of soft water to my house. When one regenerates, the other one goes on line automatically. With a single unit, whenever it regenerates it is bypassed and your feeding hard water back into the house. On installation day, Chris Rubalcaba showed up on time and got right to work. He was very meticulous in his work and in the end, we had a well designed system with a very neat and orderly piping system. He installed the RO unit under the kitchen sink and ran a line to feed the refrigerator ice maker as well. When he was done, holes were patched and jobsite was cleaned up. We decided to use Potassium Chloride instead of Sodium Chloride, but we were told that if we wanted to switch to sodium in the future, it could be done. Their system was competitively priced, and for the price we paid, I feel we got a very good system and one that will last for a long time. I highly recommend AAA as well as the system that doesn't require electricity.

Disappointing Customer Service…read more I purchased all of my home appliances, including my washer and dryer, from Direct Appliance, so I was very disappointed with how they handled an issue with my dishwasher. The dishwasher stopped cleaning properly, particularly the top rack. A technician came out, spent only 5-10 minutes looking at it, and concluded that the dishwasher pods were creating too many suds--even though I was using the recommended pods. I called back and explained that the issue clearly wasn't resolved. I was told the lead technician would contact me, but he never did. A few weeks later, I called again because the problem persisted. They wanted to charge me another service fee to come back out. After going back and forth with the service department, I was told, "We have the right to refuse to service you," and that notes would be placed on my account. I ultimately diagnosed and fixed the problem myself. A 30-cent screw had come loose, causing a loss of water pressure to the top rack--a common issue with these dishwashers. What frustrates me most is that the problem could have been identified with a more thorough inspection. Instead, the technician settled on the first explanation and left. After spending a significant amount of money with this business on our appliances, I expected much better customer service and support. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Direct Appliance.
