If I could give this place a 1 star I would. I brought in my iPhone XS for a screen replacement. It was cracked and partially black out. It was mention that they will test that all feature was working before replacing. When I received my phone, I noticed that my Face ID was no longer working. When I mention it to them they told me to bring it in and they will see what they can do but according to them it "wasn't" working before the replacement. Which was not mention to me but I know for a fact it was working before even when the screen was cracked. My touch screen was still working with a partially black out screen. There was a few way I could have proved to them that my Face ID still worked with my black out screen, including using Apple Pay or simply unlocking my phone with Face ID. But this was not brought to my attention. Fast forward, instead of owning up to their mistake, all they offer is to put my old screen back on and refund me. Which make zero sense because my Face ID havealready been destroy by them. After the incident, I did some digging into their reviews and the same thing had happen to someone just a month ago! read more

This review is for the Loop location on Wells. My husband cracked his ipad screen and was pretty bummed about it. They fixed it one day for 120 bucks. This was a few dollars more expensive than the Apple store but it was a quicker turnaround than the Apple store would be. The screen is as good as new. This place is great! read more

I needed a battery replacement for a 4 year-old smartphone and came across Jet City via Yelp. It was incredibly easy to schedule an appointment online and describe the service needed. They were upfront about the cost (~$66 including tax), which was extremely reasonable considering I wouldn't able to do it myself. I submitted a request in a late evening and Jet City confirmed my appointment the very next morning. I came by in the afternoon. The shop was cute and conveniently located in the loop. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They only needed ~45 minutes for the repair. I hung out next door at the Wells Street Market food hall. Before I knew it the repair was done. The replacement battery has been functioning well so far. 5-stars for convenience, efficiency, service, and cost. read more

I've been to them so many times and they've never let me down! Most pleasant experience was a situation when my out of warranty iPhone screen stopped working, and apple couldn't diagnose it and told me that I could buy a new screen for $200 and HOPE that it works. JCD not only diagnosed the screen issue for free by using a test screen, they also charged me less for the new screen. Of course their free iPhone screen protector replacement is always a plus as well! read more

A week or so into the pandemic, my small child was having a ball with my new iphone. Eep, brrrng, crack! The screen shattered against our granite counter top. I felt so foolish.... I had a role in this for sure. I reassured my daughter and sought repair. Close to $300 (or $400? I can't remember) from Apple and closer to $150 from Jet City. Easy peasy! This was one of the only storefronts I have entered in the past 12 weeks. One customer at a time. Masks on the guys. Hand sanitizer. It felt totally safe. They not only did that, but also fixed a couple of other issues that had been plaguing me, still all within a half hour, and for the cost of a screen replace. Been here twice. First time was for a cracked screen. In and out within 30 minutes. Have referred others to both the Lincoln Park location and the Loop location for the same thing. Everyone had a great experience. Second time was for a iPhone 6S charging port that was not working. I made an appointment online and stopped in ahead of schedule. There were two employees up front which were busy working. They literally both stopped what they were doing to assist me. One pulled up my appointment while the other immediately started looking at my phone. Within 1 minutes, they identified the issue, corrected it and plugged it in for 15 minutes to ensure there were no other issues. It was simply lint that was stuck in the port and they found the solution immediately. Many places will charge you for the 15 minutes of time and I expected to pay, but I was not charged for any labor. These guys are up front, honest, and are good at what they do. I have come to Jet City... a lot... to repair the screen of my Pixel XL. It costs $143 after tax, and while they have often had to take a few days to get the part in, service usually takes no more than an hour, the team has always been friendly, and the one time there was a mishap (they broke my new screen while attempting to install it), they were extremely apologetic and gave me a full refund on the repair, in addition to fixing it.
