Linn owns two places side by side. The dogs have a dog run in the center of the house. They can spend all day running back and forth between the houses. This is a very secure area. Your dog(s) spend the night uncaged in the house. They find their own spot to rest. Linn is alway there looking after the pets. Her prices are very reasonable compared to other places. I was very impressed on my first visit. Everything is so clean and well maintained. If you don't believe me, call her up and set up an appointment to visit her place. She has the credentials to back her experience. She is a member of: PSI Certified Professional Pet Sitter and a Member of the National Association of Pet Sitters. She is certified in Animal First Aid & CPR. She is also Bonded & Insuried. When you go to other places, ask about their credentials and experience, they can't compare to the "Personal & Pet Concierce". No, I don't get free boarding for my comments! My dogs are usually with me all the time and I am very hesitant to leave them anywhere without giving two hours worth of instructions. Yes, I'm THAT kind of pet parent. Anyways, I stopped by to check out Linn's place before I took my dogs there and it seemed like a great place and all the dogs seemed happy to be there. She showed me around all the areas that the dogs would be in and I liked that it was very much a home environment, instead of doggie daycares that seem very sterile and not like home. It really is like a little dog adventure land that they can explore the many yards and decks and different areas. After the first night I left my dogs there, I ended up staying longer than expected and having my dogs stay there on five different occasions, one that lasted 4 nights. Each time I felt more and more comfortable and really left my dogs knowing they were in good hands and when I dropped them off and picked them up they were happy -- not scared, anxious or hesitant at all. This is something, especially for my newest dog we rescued from an abusive home just four months ago and he is very timid around most people and new environments. There are also cameras you can check on your pets on, although I never downloaded the app or website. That's how comfortable I was, I didn't feel I needed to check on them. Although I appreciated the picture and video updates that Linn sent me! The price is quite reasonable, but don't forget to leave a little extra if you really appreciate the care your pets have gotten, because she works really hard for the little she charges. Especially with my dogs, I know they're a handful! She is also willing to work with you on pickup and drop-off times and she ensures you are the only person dropping off so it is easy for all involved. The extra gates also give peace of mind your dogs won't escape on accident or if they're looking for an adventure, as mine oftentimes do. Linn really has thought of everything here, and my dogs enjoy staying overnight and playing with all of the other dogs who come here. I just wish I could find a place like this in California, but I'll be back next time I'm in town and know that I can leave my dogs safely while I'm away.

The $30 does not get you a free day of daycare like many other facilities. So if you board infrequently (like me) you have to repeat the process everytime. I also think some wording on the website needs to be changed. On the FAQ for boarding, it reads to bring food in a "a re-sealable bag as kibble oxidizes quickly which results in substantial nutrient loss." Most places want the food in something re-seable for the reason stated in the quote, however this isn't the reason I was told at drop off; their reason is due to convenience for the caretakers. What they mean to say is food MUST be *pre-measured* *per meal* and *individually* bagged in ziploc bags otherwise there's a fee. This was not told to me until I dropped off my dog with her sealed food container and measured food cup. They then said it would be a $15 bagging fee. I did receive a text before my dog boarded that I can go over the email about boarding reminders however I never got any emails, my confirmations were done through text with an email receipt sent at the end of her stay. No big deal, I didn't think much of it because I got confirmation/reminder texts of her stay and I had read the website/FAQs multiple times to make sure I did not miss anything. I don't even own ziploc bags because I think it's wasteful and I don't like surprise fees because this information should've been readily available on the website (even if that information was in that missing email). I was about to run down the street and grab a $1 box because my dog was only staying 3 nights, but a different worker than the one checking me in overheard and helped me out, so that was appreciated!

**WARNING** & **BEWARE**…read more If you love and care for your pup and its well being, then I urge you DO NOT bring take them here! This place is a DEATH trap! I have taken my pup here on and off consistently over the last 2 years. I have often have had to take breaks from this place due to various incidents. Bites missing patches of hair, and my dog often being extremely hungry and thirsty when returning from there as if he hasn't eaten or had anything to drink at all. Most recently I came to pick up my pup, not knowing they have changed the hours again ( as they often due to lack of employees) to find that my dog was in alone in "isolation" after being attacked and bitten by another dog. A piece of my dogs ear had been bitten off, by what is obliviously a bigger dog, which whom he should have never been left alone with unattended. My pup is a loving, fun and playful 2year old Pug, without an a aggressive bone in his body. They did not notify me of the attack and injury! Although this was an EMERGENCY, in which they allow pick-up, they tried to hide the injury! When I requested to know the details of the injury, they could NOT tell me ANYTHING! They did not have any answer because they were not present when the injury occurred! They could not tell me what happened, or who the attacking dog was. (that would be necessary to know for future stays) but they are completely clueless because they don't watch over the dogs. That being said, she LOVES Happy Dog South Sound! Having never boarded my dogs, I had no idea what to expect, but the staff is so incredibly nice, patient, and helpful! I must have called a dozen times before we dropped our dogs off the first time, and then even AFTER the first time for follow-up questions. I am positive that they have caller-ID because when I called after their first visit, they referred to some details that made me think that they knew who I was. Even then, they were so pleasant to work with! NEWCOMERS: How it works is you need to call and schedule a day to take your pup or pups there for an initial "meet and greet." They can only do the meet and greets Monday-Friday when a manager is present, so be prepared for that. Depending on their availability, they can probably take you the next day. I had two dogs and travel for work, so I made the "reservation" a week in advance. You can drop your pup off between 7am and 9am and then pick them up starting at 3pm to I think 7pm. When you arrive in the morning, they will have you fill out some paperwork, and when you are done, they'll take your pup(s) inside and that's it! When you go to pick up your pup(s), they will tell you if your pup(s) passed or not. If so, then you will receive an email to register for their reservation site called Gingr. The site is easy to use! We've since dropped our dogs off for daycare again, and they brought out a credit card machine when I picked up my dogs, so make sure you have your card with you when you go up to the door! The meet and greet is free, so you won't experience this the first time you go.

Upon entering Pampered Puppers, I was immediately struck by the absence of that heavy smell that can overwhelm you at other groomers. I've always felt it is hard to get clean in a dirty space, and a groomer is no different. Then, seeing how they interact with all the dogs by talking to them and reassuring them was so comforting. Nichole checks if we want anything new or changed, then greets Tanner and takes him back. When it's time to pick him up, I get a text update letting me know he will be ready soon, which helps me to plan my time. When I get there, he's happy to see me and ready for cuddles.
