In the time she has been there she has come a long way. She loves her caretakers, and has several favorite playmates. She has calmed down significantly. They definitely know how to handle larger stubborn dogs without breaking their spirit. My dog is always excited when we drive there. As soon as the car turns onto South Tacoma Way she perks up and start whining and wiggling her bottom. If my dog was unhappy there I am sure that her reaction would be quite different. Anyways, I stopped by to check out Linn's place before I took my dogs there and it seemed like a great place and all the dogs seemed happy to be there. She showed me around all the areas that the dogs would be in and I liked that it was very much a home environment, instead of doggie daycares that seem very sterile and not like home. It really is like a little dog adventure land that they can explore the many yards and decks and different areas. After the first night I left my dogs there, I ended up staying longer than expected and having my dogs stay there on five different occasions, one that lasted 4 nights. Each time I felt more and more comfortable and really left my dogs knowing they were in good hands and when I dropped them off and picked them up they were happy -- not scared, anxious or hesitant at all. This is something, especially for my newest dog we rescued from an abusive home just four months ago and he is very timid around most people and new environments. There are also cameras you can check on your pets on, although I never downloaded the app or website. That's how comfortable I was, I didn't feel I needed to check on them. Although I appreciated the picture and video updates that Linn sent me! The price is quite reasonable, but don't forget to leave a little extra if you really appreciate the care your pets have gotten, because she works really hard for the little she charges. Especially with my dogs, I know they're a handful! She is also willing to work with you on pickup and drop-off times and she ensures you are the only person dropping off so it is easy for all involved. The extra gates also give peace of mind your dogs won't escape on accident or if they're looking for an adventure, as mine oftentimes do. Linn really has thought of everything here, and my dogs enjoy staying overnight and playing with all of the other dogs who come here. I just wish I could find a place like this in California, but I'll be back next time I'm in town and know that I can leave my dogs safely while I'm away.

Yes, they had Kennel cough and they needed two prescriptions each. This vet visit was more than the dogs visit at the kennel. I called the kennel and reported my dogs were sick, and in a voice that didn't sound to sorry, told me we're sorry and no other dogs have been sick. My dogs are in a fenced acre yard and were near no other dogs. This kennel has lost my business.

We have always been happy with Nichole and how she treats our sweet boy, Tanner; she is always patient, affectionate, and welcoming. Nichole is very personable, and I've gotten to know her a bit over time. She loves this work, and her clients. Upon entering Pampered Puppers, I was immediately struck by the absence of that heavy smell that can overwhelm you at other groomers. I've always felt it is hard to get clean in a dirty space, and a groomer is no different. Then, seeing how they interact with all the dogs by talking to them and reassuring them was so comforting. Nichole checks if we want anything new or changed, then greets Tanner and takes him back. When it's time to pick him up, I get a text update letting me know he will be ready soon, which helps me to plan my time. When I get there, he's happy to see me and ready for cuddles. Thankfully, not in the fearful way we've experienced before we found Nichole. Tanner always looks great, and Nichole is ready to adjust things as needed. I feel that she earns a good gratuity every time. We just dropped off Tanner this morning, and I can't wait to see him and Nichole later today. My experience with Deborah has been very mixed. My dog is very well behaved with one exception -…read moreshe barks at the door. I scheduled a private session at my home with Deborah since this is the only place where my dog barks. She called ten minutes past our appointment time, asking if we were supposed to be meeting (we had scheduled this two days prior). Deborah and her trainees finally arrived, the training did go relatively well. My dog responded well to the techniques used, but I was very surprised that I was not involved in the training. I did not practice with my dog at all during the session. Also, the only thing my dog learned during the $150 session was to make eye contact when her name is called in order to earn a treat. A majority of the time was spent with Deborah and the two gentlemen she was training giving my dog treats in order to warm her up to them. In total the session was a little over an hour. While I was impressed that my dog stayed engaged for that long (usually during training she gets bored after about 20 minutes), I did not feel that the amount of improvement was worth $150. I emailed Deborah for advice the next day. My dog sleeps with me and was running to the front door to bark before I could command her to calm. This lead to a good amount of barking before I was able to get to her. It took two weeks to get a response and I was told that I was the problem and I needed to crate my dog at night. Crating is not an option because 1. I need my dog to sleep with me and 2. when we tried crating her originally she multiple times hurt herself trying to get out. The response was that I needed to spend more money on more training. I understand that one session can only do so much, but I really feel more could have been taught to me and that for the amount I paid there should be some more advice via email/phone to follow up.

I am curious to know how many people they've said this to?? Again feeling sad and hopeless, my husband almost put Loki down...but I refused and found a trainer that ending up saving his life. This trainer was the best thing that had happened to our dogs!!! Here's the thing. We listened, tried everything they told us. They gave us bad advice, did not teach us how to work our dogs and put us and our dogs in a bad situation at the dog park. It gives me a terrible stomach ache just thinking about what we all went through with this place and all the money wasted. -Deborah talks the talk, but does not walk the walk -Does not have experienced training staff -Uses only harnesses -They did not teach us the tools to be successful on our own -Found ourselves asking what we're supposed to do when we weren't at lessons, even when we asked for answers -Told us to put our dog down and to give the other away -Deborah only cares about getting paid. Loki did not get his third private lesson that we paid for.. And did not complete the full board & train If you have a dog who really needs help, especially with obedience or behavioral problems, message me and I'll tell you where we got real help and real results. I promise that you will not be disappointed. Don't make the same mistake we did.
