Dogs were very comfortable and happy upon pickup! Also fluffy and clean :)

I recently chose Country Kennels to board my two dogs, and overall, I'm quite pleased with my experience. One of my two dogs can be kind of neurotic at times, and my previous experiences with Rover were not great, so I wanted to try a professional business this time. I had sent inquiries to two other kennels in the Seattle area, and didn't even get a call back from either of them. Country Kennels on the other hand had an easy online form, and I received an email confirmation from them by the next day (with a request that I forward them my dogs' vaccine records). There was nobody at the front desk when we got there, but I rang the doorbell and after a few minutes someone came to open the door (this is fine, I'd rather the caretakers be with the dogs than at the front desk anyways). On that note, I was never able to reach them on the phone immediately, but they always called back within the hour. The check-in process was simple, and the lady helping us was nice. She let me know they take daily photos during the various playtimes, and post them on Facebook about every other day. We were then given a quick tour of the kennels, and a large dog had escaped his pen! There were multiple doors between each of the dogs, so this probably was not a big deal, but it made me very nervous about leaving my dogs behind. It did not help that all the other dogs were barking a ton and the kennels had a strong smell, and my pups were sooo sad to be left behind. Fortunately, we were running late for our flight - the kennel is a little less than an hour from the airport - so I didn't have enough time to second guess my decision. Side note - I definitely recommend bringing your dog's bed! From the pictures posted online, I thought they provided raised beds, but I don't think that was the case. They do provide blankets and a lot of toys tho. I had mixed feelings about leaving my dogs at Country Kennels, but when I went to pick them up, I could instantly tell they had a good time. They were totally at ease and comfortable with the caretakers (which is saying a LOT for my older dog!). On top of that, they smelled great and were suuuper fluffy and soft! My older dog is very particular about being touched by strangers, so the fact that they were able to give him a bath means they had spent time getting him comfortable beforehand. The prices were also very reasonable - they charge between $32-36 per dog per day depending on size (there is a small discount for multiple dogs), and then offer $6 per playtime (10-15 min for one on one, and 1-2 hours for group playtimes). They also offer baths on pickup day (which I highly recommend since the kennels do kind of smell). Not including the tip, for two dogs it ended up being about $490 for 5 days of boarding and playtimes, including baths for each of them. TLDR: Country Kennels had its imperfections, but the genuine care and well-being of my dogs by the end of their stay won me over. I will definitely be considering them for future boarding needs!

There is not enough to say about Country Kennels. I board my two pups here, Artemis (corgi) and Rider (Australian shepherd/blue healer mix). I have tried almost a dozen boarding places in the Bothell-Tacoma area and after finding these guys I will never try another. I'm always concerned about the treatment and understanding of my pups. Especially with my cattle dog. But since the first phone call I knew I could trust them. They know their breeds and their Doggo's and show them the compassion they deserve. Their rates can't be beat and every single staff member I've had the pleasure to meet has been happy, sentimental and leaves me feeling good about my pups stay. To top it all off, my pups typically hate going to boarding. Or when I pick them up they are whining and se very anxious. But every single time I have boarded with Country Kennels my pups have gone right back with them no problem and when I pick them up they are happy and excited. The car ride home is calm and when we get home there are 0 issues from the stay. It's obvious they are taken care of. I've boarded them now about 4 times I believe and have had to extend their stay last minute twice. The accommodations were made with no stress. Highly highly recommend Country Kennels to anybody with an animal. Especially if you have had bad luck with kennels before!

Let's talk about Country Kennels and how amazing the STAFF, GROOMERS, OWNER & FACILITY is. This was our first time leaving our fur babies at a boarding facility. I'm not gonna lie, my anxiety levels were flaring. I didn't know what to expect, how the process went & if I could even trust them (I'm a very paranoid dog mom). As we pulled up, the place was tucked away behind some trees & bushes, which I really liked. Very private, kind of like a dog retreat if I must say. The place is not hard to find either and only about 15 minutes from our home. My dogs were already getting at each other from the moment we walked through the door, but Hailey (I hope I'm spelling your name correctly) assured me that they will be in good hands (she didn't lie ) As I was waiting to check them in, another family came in to drop off their dog. I asked them about their experiences and they said that they would never leave their dog anywhere else. Which gave me hope. As they were preparing our dogs new home for the next 10 days, Hailey was nice enough to give me a little tour (very last minute) I do know they offer these tours before your pet stays with them but we never had the time to make it out. I was impressed. Very, very clean & it didn't smell bad either. I immediately felt a whole lot better. Country Kennels gave me peace of mind while on our trip. They daily photos they posted of our dogs helped a lot too. At first I opted out of the bath and nail trim...but I'm glad I changed my mind. My dogs came home SO CLEAN, they didn't even smell like dogs Anyways, I will always bring our fur babies back here Thank you Country Kennels!

I had strict instructions on my two dogs, that I informed them I could not stress enough. My one dog had to wear an e-collar at all times. That didn't happen! I came back, and his leg was tore open. The one tech tried to tell me she had it off for less than a minute. Then I found out another one had it off. Additionally he was 10 pounds lighter and the other one was 10 pounds heavier. For the next 10 days he hardly ate anything, and died. No they didn't kill him, but it added to the other issues he had, this experience did not help his health, or my other dog that now has to be a on diet.

I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here.

I've had my fair share of very bad grooming experiences, with this very dog. K9 Design Grooming Salon has changed my perspective and Mila's perspective on grooming experiences. We took our 7-month-old Dachshund puppy, Chewy, to Soggy Doggy yesterday evening for a nail trim shortly before closing time, and unfortunately, the experience was very upsetting for both our puppy and us. During the nail trim, Chewy yelped multiple times in discomfort, which immediately concerned us. What stood out most to me was that the same nail appeared to be trimmed repeatedly several times, and each time Chewy reacted more anxiously and vocally. As a pet owner, I found it difficult to watch, and it left me feeling uncomfortable about the handling process. I understand that puppies can sometimes be nervous during grooming, and nail trims are not always easy. However, we have previously taken Chewy to other grooming establishments, including Petco and PetSmart, for nail trims and have never experienced this level of distress from him before. I was also surprised that during the nail trim, we were asked questions about Chewy's diet and food choices. While I understand businesses may offer additional services or products, I personally felt that the focus at that moment should have remained on carefully completing the nail trim and ensuring our puppy was comfortable and calm. At the end of the appointment, Chewy also left with a noticeable hangnail. We declined the nail buffing add-on service, but even so, I did not expect his nails to be left in that condition after the trim. Overall, this experience left us questioning the level of handling, training, and attention to pet comfort during grooming services. As pet owners, we trust groomers and staff with the safety and well-being of our animals, and unfortunately, this visit did not leave us feeling confident. Because of this experience, we will not be returning with Chewy in the future. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as gentle handling, professionalism, and pet comfort are extremely important, especially with young puppies who are still learning to trust grooming experiences.

I was told she was offered a great deal for the rental and some homemade dog treats. Parking was a bit confusing as the parking nearby the business was full and there was a spot that we think was free to use but not sure. As we entered, we were greeted by a staff member who let us in and the space is huge! There were plenty of toys, a dog pool, and little obstacles for dogs to enjoy to their hearts' content! They even have a hose to fill up the pool or just have your dogs chase around. There were little cubbies and lots of areas to hang leashes, coats, and other stuff on. They had Youtube videos playing too. The dog treats were so creative. They had cannoli, biscuits, and much more. All of our dogs seemed to have enjoy the treats greatly, no treats were left behind. All of the dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves as they just had so much to do or other dogs to play with. Definitely look forward to coming back here to throw future dog parties as our group loves to do little events for our fur babies.

It made me wonder about the ratio balance between humans vs dogs. I had dropped my dog off for a behavioral assessment, as we have trips coming up and I'm looking for boarding care. This is not where I'm personally comfortable leaving my pup, as the ratio seemed to be 1 human to 15 or 20 dogs in an indoor-only, less than 1500sq foot space. The good news is they are so kind and nice humans, if I was rating them they'd earn 5+++ stars as I'd leave my dog in their care anytime! The problem I had was the physical space (super tiny!) and the ratio of dogs, as they allowed 3 or 4 pups to greet my dog while 15 or so were in a hallway-type space patiently waiting and sooooo well-behaved, to greet and play. The space for playing is very limited, about 1/2 the size of a classroom, and while it's clean and the staff are super lovely, it's probably not the best fit for our pup who loves to play fetch and run. Parking is also super tricky in this neighborhood, as there isn't a parking lot or spaces reserved for the business.
