Gaston has an amazing spirit. He's warm and friendly. Easy to get on with. You can tell he's a great guy. However, personality of course doesn't hang TV's. Things I liked...no loved: -I called and he came right out! Like literally right away. After he finished another job nearby he got me in same day last minute. Definite bonus point there. -He honored my COVID measures and wore booties inside my home and stayed masked up his entire visit. -Fair pricing. Probably the most reasonably priced of all the businesses I called. -1 of the 2 TVs I needed hung arrived damaged. He put up the mount for me anyway and agreed to come back to hang the tv later since I paid for it. -1 of the 2 TVs didn't have a convenient plug nearby. He created a new hole and plated it so I could run it through the closet. Smart. Things I was not a fan of: -You can tell he's done this a million times and although I appreciate his vast well of experience there were some rookie missteps that I didn't expect from a season pro who's hung no less than 1000 TVs. -He overshot the stud and didn't use the template. Not using the template didn't bother me but overshooting the stud and leaving a huge hole I'm going to have to repair or pay for out of my deposit was an issue for me. Normal screw holes normal screw holes can be filled after the tv is taken down. These will need to be professionally repaired. -He used his own hardware leaving several of the pieces I purchased out of the install. Again, something like this would not have been a problem but he put my parts in his utility bag. I had to ask for them back to include the HDMI cord that came with my mount. Of course this could have been an oversight but it still didn't sit well with me. -Although he agreed to come back he never did. I ended up finishing the install myself. Overall it was a slightly above average job from I expected to be a pristine install. read more

The guys showed up on time and 2 TV mount installations were done in less than an hour. The guys even concealed my cables the best they could given what we had and made suggestions/recommendations on where to mount one of the TVs in my living room. Now, my set up: I have a fire place, and on that fire place I have uneven brick tiles covered the dry wall. I dont have brick tiles on sides of the fire place tho, which proves to be beneficial to mounting the TV. I bought a oled CX 65 inch LG TV this holiday and really want to mount it on top of the fire place because my apartment is small and it doesnt have sufficient place anywhere else to mount it. I also have a sound bar, harman kardon citation series. I searched on Yelp and found Gaston, all the reviews were so good and he responded to my request within 20 min. It was a friday. We chatted a bit on messages from yelp, and I sent him the picture. He discussed with me on what he wants to do with the TV and the instructions and details were great. The next day Gaston came, it was a Saturday and I am amazed by their promptness. They arrived on time, and with all the property protections for covid. They all wore masks and wear gloves. When they were working on the TV they even set the boundaries for us to not get too close, as anti covid measures. They even asked me to step out like 12 times to keep distance and safe for myself. Then amazing thing happened and they were able to drill a hole on the brick tile covered wall to conceal all the cables from the back of TV! This is the best move and all the cables were gone. They provided all the cables and I supplied my own cable as well. They were really professional on the TV mounting part and checked levels again and again and made the the TV was in the middle of the wall. When it finished, it was a piece of art. Super nice work done. I forgot to tell them about my sound bar, and then after they finished the TV mounting, I told them about the sound bar. They quickly changed the wiring and helped me hang the sound bar in as well, which is a lot of work considering the wall is uneven and the sound bar mounts were really hard to be mounted on the wall. They were able to set up the eARC hdmi cable, and hide it under the TV. The job again was perfectly done and the sound bar was on there at the best location. Overall a great job done by Gaston and his crew, artistic and I am sure they are proud of this job themselves. I would definitely hire them again for future projects around my apartment. read more

About four years ago another installation company did some work for me and they ran one of two speakers wires on the OUTSIDE of the house instead of through the wall - which of course wasn't what we agreed upon. They didn't tell me they did this and I didn't notice it for about a month because this exterior wall has limited access so I never went back there. I had just bought my house so I was spinning so many plates I figured I'd deal w/it later. So four years later... I called several installers (including the original installer who wanted to charge me AGAIN for something they should've done right the first time, so I told them where they can stick their speaker cable) and Gaston at AV-DEO was the only one that called me back. I knew this wasn't a big job, but I appreciated that not only was he interested in doing it, he asked for pics and detailed information as to better assess what the job was.
