    Oily shawarma

I was hoping this place would be great! It's expensive, but with big portions it can easily make two meals. But the chicken shawarma was so overwhelmingly oily and salty that it was hard to eat. The fries were crunchy good!

Everything was delicious especially the lamp chops, kebabs chicken was very tasty! Love the yogurt dip and the eggplant baba ganoush was superb!

I found this place while looking for the Habit in downtown SLO. It was still open so we decided to give it a try. The service was fantastic and the food came out so fresh, hot, and delicious! It tasted like a wonderful home cooked meal. The kabob was juicy and tender. The pita bread was spectacular too! I wasn't a fan of the rice(my parents loved it), but it blended well when eaten with everything together. The portions are big, so you can easily share a plate. Very clean and loved the decor. Great place to get Mediterranean food.

If I lived in this area, I would definitely come back. We had a table with 17 (with reservation) and the food was shockingly fast. Its about what you expect but they have a larger menu. They put down a whole squeeze bottle off white sauce lol. Gave more pita than I expected and it was still fluffy when it cooled. Came with a free drink.

So we were passing through on the way back to Orange County and stopped for lunch. Everyone agreed on Mediterranean. So Moe's had high reviews and now I know why. The food is made fresh and to order. We have some picky grandkids and they made his bowl to order. Portions are so generous! Even the sandwich!n place is casual but they have these cute private booths. We had a great meal and time and would definitely return.

Tried this spot when my friend was craving lamb chops and I was looking for Mediterranean for dinner. This is a beautiful location with charming 2-seater booths. The menu offers a variety of traditional options. I had to try their "Signature Chicken Shawarma" and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Everything was delicious from the meat to the hummus and pita. The portions are perfect and the service was fast. My friend loved her lamb chops as well. I will definitely be returning to Moe's for more!!

Excellent! Trust the Yelp stars. All of the food was delicious and very large portions. In our group, we had gyro sandwiches and gyro plates. We also had to get hummus and pitas. I would say each of us ate half of our food because the portions were huge! Next time, we plan to split plates. The service is great. The place was very clean and welcoming. It's nat a large restaurant but they are accommodating, pushing tables together for groups of people. Definitely a great Mediterranean restaurant.

Moe's Vegetarian in San Luis Obispo is just like any other Mediterranean place you'll find. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the prices seemed reasonable considering it's in a tourist town. I was definitely impressed by the portion sizes, and one of my favorite dishes was the baba ganoush. The waffles were average in taste, but my friends really enjoyed their plates. One had chicken and the other went with just hummus for a vegetarian option. They do have outdoor seating, which is nice since dogs are welcome on the patio. The one thing that threw me off is that they only offer bottled water. I think this might be a violation of California's restaurant code, where guests should be provided water on site if requested, not just bottled. That is probably the only reason I'd take a star away, because I do hope they consider serving regular water to their guests. Especially for people like me who don't want to use plastic and may have forgotten their water bottle at home.

If you like nick the Greek, you will like this place 10x better! We enjoyed the gyro and chicken kebab it was plenty of food for two of us. The place was empty for lunch and the food came out very quick. The chef served us directly and was very friendly and welcoming. He even gave us our own tzikiki bottle for extra sauce. It was quiet, welcoming, and overall very enjoyable for lunch. We will definitely be back. We prefer this Mediterranean food over the more popular one up the street.

This was our second visit to Moe's Mediterranean. They offer a delicious taste of Greek and Mediterranean cuisines, offering Shawarmas / Falafel / Gyros / Kebabs along with appetizers and desserts of baklava & kenafa. The Sampler Platter offers a nice variety of spanokopita, dolmas, hummus along with a cucumber salad and Falafel. It was very enjoyable both times I've ordered it. The Gyro Sandwich was a little disappointing today as it was a bit small compared to other's offerings. The Gyro meat lacked flavor; it needed more spices. The way their Gyro Sandwich is prepared differs from others, as the sandwich contains sautéed red onions and the lavash wrap is grilled on both sides. Moe's Mediterranean's interior is clean, compact and cozy with a Middle Eastern vibe of Arabic music playing softly in the background. Everything is casual and friendly. You pay at the register and have a seat while your order is being prepared.

We stopped by here on our roadtrip through SLO. The food itself was outstanding. I got the lamb chops and the lamb was cooked perfectly, the pita bread was warm and fluffy, the hummus was super tasty, and I did enjoy the fresh salad. They give you a bottle of tzatziki to use, and we did so liberally. The issue I had with this restaurant was the ordering. This may be due to it being a busy night (Valentine's day) but the girl at the register was really struggling with the system. We checked the ordering 3 times bc of hidden costs, like charging us for the combo meal and then recharging for the beverage on the side. Some people did already mention that this place only serves bottled water, but when I said I was dining in I saw that an additional 10% charge was added to my bill. I'm not from here so not sure if this was par for the course but it's a rare occasion when I get charged for ordering and then charged for eating there. Sauce is extra too (saw afterwards). Then, the modifications that we requested didn't actually happen and the extra sauce, etc wasn't delivered so we had to keep following up. The gentleman who I assume was the owner did end up bringing us everything but it was a little frustrating to have to keep asking before ordering/ after sitting down to get everything right. Again, this may have been an off night so I hope that the ordering system and delivery is improved in the future

Moe's Mediterranean Grill is one of the best places to eat in the area. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the service is fast. I also love their late hours, which make it easy to grab a great meal any time of the day. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Mediterranean food. I'll definitely be back

I was met by the smiling face of the single employee in the restaurant. My sandwich was already bagged. My name was on it and my chips and extra napkins were inside already. The store was very clean and organized, and I seemed to be the first customer of the day. The sandwich itself was very good. It had a generous amount of filling and was served as represented on the menu. I will have to try Capriotti's again to try a different type of sandwich as I think it's unfair to judge an entire restaurant by a tuna fish sandwich. However, everything was as advertised and I can confidently give this location a thumbs up.
