Unfortunately it still wasn't the best timing for a first trip or making a review as we were limited to what we could order based on the fact that their hours state they close at 5 but they shut the kitchen down at 4:30 and we got there just after 4. It's hard going out for dinner to a place that closes at 4:30. I ordered a sausage sandwich which to my delight was not the monotonous Conecuh. It was really good and reminiscent of some of the whole in the wall places in Texas that does good sausage. The only draw back was that being near closing time they didn't have links but was able to do slices. It was good but hard to eat. My hubs got chicken and ribs. I liked the ribs... they still had some bite, tender but not falling apart, and the smoke is mild, not overkill like so many other places do. Hubs wasn't a huge fan of but I thought they were nice. The chicken was on the dry side, but I never go to a bbq joint to order chicken so it's not a deal breaker for me. The only major downer was that all of our sides seemed to be standard pre-made and ordered items, not made in-house. I also liked the hole in the wall vibe, the friendly staff, and the divine smoke aroma that lets you know you're in the right bbq joint. All in all I enjoyed their Q and will need to go back when I can get the timing right to sample their steam table offerings.

Disappointed with this location. Eighth Friday in a row, and no grits; yet, downtown and semmes location has them which is way out of my way. This Moe's use to be a hit. This location has gone downhill with their cheap and low selection of special sides compared to downtown and semmes location. Yes I just cancelled my whole $25 order because you guys didn't have grits. Looked forward to that on Friday. SMH.!if my post gets deleted- I'm going to post publicly. Wasted 45 min there and 45 min drive home to only realize you guys done away with it again only at this location. I'm quite disappointed in this business and location and frustrated. I just called 8 other locations and have recorded proof of their sides and they have them; however; this location refuses to be compliant like the other franchise locations which is quite frustrating, especially when it's an hour and 30 minute round trip and only to realize it was a wasted trip. read more

The female servers and cashiers need to learn some professionalism and to leave her bad day at the door. She was rude to us for no reason and put our change on the counter instead of putting it in our hand. She rudely huffed and puffed as she walked off leaving us clueless and not knowing where to go or if she was even through with our order. We used to love coming here but after calling multiple times to order takeout and not getting an answer was bad enough. The atmosphere is amazing, the BBQ is okay, not great, but the drink prices, and scenery make it balance out. I have eaten here several times. One thing that I liked is how they gave you a container of BBQ that was hot. That is how it should be done. Prices are also dope. Ate there with 9 people, and got the check. It was just over $100. Can't beat that. I would recommend everyone going and making up their own opinion, because people be very specific with their meats. read more
