We had an awesome patio spot that only got better once the parades started. The bartenders were super friendly and I challenge you to find a better deal in town. Two of us had never tried Bush Wackers before and they let us have a little sample. SO YUMMY. Perhaps dangerous?? We didn't eat full on meals, but we tried the pork rinds, dry rubbed wings, and ribs. I have to say, everything was done really really well. The dry rub wings are for sure the way to go. The pork rinds surprised me too. Really crunchy and yummy and not too greasy at all. Stopped in today for the first time for lunch. Ordered the rib dinner with Mac and cheese and baked beans for sides. The ribs (St. Louise style) were absolutely a smash hit. The meat fell off the bone and tasted fresh and fantastic! Highly recommend this dish. The baked beans were superb with a touch of pulled pork, sweetness and smoke to set them off. Mac & Cheese was not very warm but the flavor defiantly made up for it! Butter butter and more butter! perfect amount of cheese, macaroni was cooked perfectly and the flavor was out of this work. My go-to for Brisket in Mobile, AL Moe's has a lot going on for itself here in Mobile. I prefer the downtown location for many reasons: staff, location, friends, atmosphere. But, no matter which Moe's location I go to, Moe's has become my "go-to" for smoked beef brisket in Mobile. I opt for the brisket plate (see Pic), which comes with plenty of sliced, smoked, succulent beef brisket, and two sides. I love Moe's vinegar-based coleslaw so I always get that as on side. I've been reading through the comments and I personally love the taste of the food, though I have found it to be different from other barbecue places in a good way. Other places add so much sauce, seasonings, and the like that the taste of the main ingredient doesn't come through. I do not cook this kind of food at home so I prefer to taste the earthiness of the beans and the smoke infused in the protein. This place served the absolute worse wings and green beans I've ever eaten. The wings were half a step away from jerky. THEN, they weren't even the same wings or even wings for that matter. I had two legs, one large wing, and 4 small wings. Pathetic! They were so dry that the sauce was congealed. The beans were absolutely disgusting. Emily was on-site for the event and was excellent in making technology cooperate and being overall super helpful and easy to work with. The entire staff was fantastic and so much fun, but Jake was stand-out for our group because he was so helpful, and also showed off his dance moves with our team. We have always loved the atmosphere of Moe's but the food seems to have gone downhill after COVID. As I write this review, please remember that a lot of businesses in the food industry are struggling to find help & that may be the reason for longer wait times. We did not wait long at all for our table but there did seem to be quite a long wait for our food. It was a weekend night which is to be expected & sometimes it seems the outdoor seated tables are often neglected. When our food finally arrived, it was delicious but not as hot as I would like it to be. We will likely give this location another chance simply because we love the area and we love being able to take our dog to dinner with us but I was a bit disappointed to see this location go downhill. Hopefully our next try will be back to it's original high standards. read more

Stopped here as I was passing through town & wasn't disappointed. They have plenty of options on the menu & it's pretty customizable with the meat & 2 sides. We ordered the smoked turkey, pulled pork, coleslaw, mac n' cheese, banana pudding, and oreo pudding. The serving of meat they give you is really generous. The smoked turkey was pretty good but tasted a lot like ham. The mac n' cheese is reminiscent of Kraft mac n' cheese, but a bit less flavorful and a bit less cheesy (really the only disappointing part of the meal). The coleslaw was a nice and light vinegar based slaw. This barbecue isn't really changing the game or anything like that, but it was a great meal and what you'd expect if you're looking for a good standby barbecue joint! read more

My family and I really enjoy this place for lunch and dinner. It's casual and it can be quick if you want, or you can hang out for a while and enjoy the atmosphere. I normally get the dry rub wings with the white sauce. Unless it's Friday, in which case I'd order the beef brisket since it's only offered as a daily special. I went for a work event last night and someone recommended the catfish, which I quite enjoyed. I'd definitely order it again, if I'm in the mood for fried fish. One of their sides of the day was greens, and those were delicious with the fish. The Mac and cheese can be hit or miss. It's been really good at times, and other times it's been meh. Same for the cornbread. I wish they served the brisket more often, but I understand keeping it as a daily special. I also wish they served coke products, but that's a personal preference. Overall it's a great place and there's a large room in the back so they can accommodate big groups, but I've noticed that sometimes that area is used for private events. Good bbq is hard to find in South Alabama and honestly in many parts of Alabama. I had tried the Moe's in Huntsville when we lived there and it wasn't bad but for some reason just didn't care for it that much. Daphne location is awesome. Other cooking my own, this is my go to for bbq now. Number 1 I love the location. Converted house into a bbq restaurant is a great concept. My wife and I wanted to have enough food for a couple of days over the holiday weekend so we picked up the Double Wide. We ordered the chicken, off the bone, potato salad, baked beans, Mac and cheese, corn bread, and the Oreo chocolate desert. We did order a couple of extra sides. Chicken was cooked perfectly and I like the option of having the sauce on the side, so I can use either white or red sauce. Sauces are also very good. Baked beans are some of the best I have ever had. Potato salad is to my liking as well. We have had the Mac and cheese in the past and it is also very good. My wife likes the Oreo chocolate desert. This has been more than enough food for two days. When we have a taste for bbq Moe's is our place. read more

Actually about a 4 1/2. It was much better than I was anticipating, especially expecting more of a bar than a barbq pit. I usually liked the smoked meatloaf when available. To sample it - it was ok!about a 7.5 but the ribs were really good, surprisingly so. I will stop here en route to New Orleans in the future. The cornbread was very very good. Tried Moe's for lunch yesterday and was not impressed. I had the half chicken platter with collard greens and potato salad. They have daily special sides each day in addition to the regular sides. Yesterday was collard greens, sweet potato casserole, Lima beans, and a few others. Nice to have the variety. Anyway, I thought the chicken was pretty good but it had the temperature and looks of something that had been sitting out for a little while. It was tender and tasted good though. I didn't care for the potato salad or the greens. My husband got the pulled pork platter. He had a frown on his face the entire meal but he said he liked it okay. He also chose the collard greens and potato salad. Prices were about right, around $11 for a platter and a little less for a sandwich. It was a big plate of food but just not memorable in any way. I wish they had bottles of the Alabama white sauce that they topped the chicken with, but they only had 1 regular sauce in bottles. So my impression of this restaurant is that it's focusing more on drinks and bar service then the food. The food was a step below mediocre. Pulled pork sandwich was fine but nothing special. Very standard portion size. The sides however were all very bad. Chips were overdone, Mac and cheese was inedible and the replacement potato salad was not much better.
