Moe's is one of my favorite places to get food, especially this location. I have eaten here since I was a child and gotten to see the store change both in style and menu options. I have always been a very picky eater, especially when it comes to meat. While Moe's has meat, their food is customizable, so they also offer vegetarian, vegan and even gluten free options. Personally, when I am just not feeling the meat options, I love the veggie stack. I get mine with just black beans but they also have tofu on their menu. The food especially in recent years has gotten very pricey. However, one of the reasons I love this location is that they offer great deals throughout the week. If you sign up to receive messages, you will get notifications on when special deals are happening on their food. Customer service could have been a little better, the food was good. Just a couple employees that could've had a better attitude. I went around lunch time, not many customers at the time. The salsa bar was low in salsas. My friend tried saying thank you when checking out, no reply or acknowledgement from her. The customer behind me had a similar experience. Bad day? Maybe? no idea. Moe's has been around Alabaster for a while and I've visited them several times over the years. The restaurant is large and has plenty of seating. You can choose a burrito, bowl, or nachos. You pick your protein and toppings, and the staff makes it right in front of you. They offer a salsa bar to top your meal and eat with your complimentary chips. There are some bottled drinks and one of the machines where you can mix flavors in with your soft drinks. I chose the Junior Homewrecker on this visit. Stopped in on Tuesday night for spirit night for Thompson High School band. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and they had smiling faces. They took our order and politely asked if we wanted add anything to our order. All of the condiments looks fresh and the meats were looked fresh and not dried out. Once we sat down and started eating, our nachos were really good. The service and food was really good. They are a great source for providing funds for our school and we thank you for that. I've gotta shoot for a middle of the road rating for this location. They actually have days/times they are a really solid 4 (maybe 4.5) and they also have times where they are more like a 2. If you aren't familiar it's subway meets the traditional Mexican experience. Tacos, burritos, nachos, etc .... but you go down the line and pick our how you want to have it completed (with toppings). Ingredients are typically pretty fresh here. So that isn't really a problem. They do have times that they get exceptionally busy and it looks like a tornado has blown through the area where they prep the food. Also, the salsa area can get a little sloppy at times. Also, for some reason the Freestyle soda machine they have, always seems to run out of the grape flavor when I'm there. Now, they have times that they seem to run pretty smooth. And to their credit, granted they build it as you tell them what to add, they do a good job of getting the order correct and giving you extra (unless it's meat or cheese) of ingredients. Prices are in line with quite a few sit down Mexican places so keep that in mind when coming here. They do give you free chips though, so that is a plus. I would come here again, just saying it can be a little messy at times. read more

I really enjoy my neighborhood Moe's. This place is nice and clean and the staff is super friendly. I've never dine in there. I always take my food for takeout every Monday. Most Southwestern Grill is our lunch spot since they have a special where you can get the homewrecker bowl for half off. I don't know how long this deal is gonna last but in the meantime we're enjoying it. Oh yeah did I mention it also comes with a drink not a bad deal for $10 or under $10 you get a meal and a drink. and my kids love the array of sauces they have, and it's not always the same. I visit Alabaster, AL Moe's almost every Monday, and Moe's has consistently started to reduce their serving sizes and portions but the prices continue to increase. I usually get a homewrecker bowl to go and I never get rice or beans so you would think they would give you more since you're getting less food items; however, that is not the case, their serving sizes are getting so small, you barely have enough to eat, not to mention the chips have been stale on more than one occasion and a small cup of queso dip is $2.95 plus tax, entirely too expensive. read more

Decent food that's overpriced. If I hadn't had a coupon I wouldn't have eaten there. The food bowl was nice with very little meat. You get a much larger portion of protein from Chipotle. Always a good time since it's undoubtedly my kids favorite place to eat when I don't cook. We've been catching Moe's Monday's and the offer for reward points also drags me in. What I do love is the amount of toppings and choices available to go into your food. I love the ability to order via an app and skip the line. What I don't like is there is almost always an error when ordering from the app. Don't know if it's due to rushing or what but it's an issue when the child who hates mushrooms burrito is jam packed full of mushrooms and you've made it home and undressed to sit down for dinner. I love this Moes location. I eat there at least once a week. There are some slight inconsistencies with personnel. There are some that are the best. There are some that I am somewhat disappointed about when I see them in there . It's mostly the burrito rolling situation. There is one person in particular that literally just can't roll a burrito at all. It's loose and falls apart the second you try to eat it. EVERYONE else is generally awesome . I just feel like especially during lunch you should have your A team. The manager on duty there is Amazing which is why I really hate complaining. Also, this place is kind of expensive considering the little amount of food you receive. The atmosphere at many locations is quite noisy with staff greeting the guests by yelling "Welcome to Moes" and bad acoustics. Then again, this is fast food and not a gourmet restaurant. The salsa is fresh and not spicy, which is great for those of us that do not like our mouths on fire. If you want Mexican, go to a Mexican restaurant. Moe's is my "go to" Tex Mex. They always have the freshest ingredients and usually I don't have to wait too long. This place gets very crowded around noon. I would recommend arriving before or after the lunch rush. Moe's has a few healthy alternatives. You can order a taco salad without the shell. Ordering salsa and hot sauce is a good alternative to their high calorie spicy ranch dressing. My only complaint is the drink machine is located right in front of the bathrooms and trash can. We stopped at this Moe's on the way out of town. Big Moe's fan here, but this location was the worst Moe's experience and burrito I've ever had. The girl putting on the rice beans and meat was so lazy and uneven with it. I had ground beef and literally half of my burrito had none...the first toppings girl was not customer oriented. I asked for a little pico and she put a scoop bigger than the scoop of ground beef on. Not cool. It ruined the burrito. I wasn't even half way done with telling my toppings when the next girl asked twice if that's all I wanted on it. Clearly, no. I thought all moes burritos (that I customize) taste the same. No. Maybe it was the lack of meat/over use of certain toppings and everything being uneven/unequal, or it's that theirs just tastes different. Aside from the food and service, the place was absolutely FILTHY. I was so grossed out seeing behind the counter when waiting to order. The dining area wasn't much better. I visited this Moe's on Jan 24th. I went in there to grab something to ear before I went to work. When I went in I noticed a massive puddle of water that had accumulated in front of the fountain area towards the register. They had a wet floor sign right there. When I came out of the restroom water had went down the wall in front of the men's room & My right foot had hit it & I twisted my ankle and re injured my other leg. The employee's were slow to even get over there to see what was going on. They gave me the number to their district manager by the name of,Calem Nailer. He explained that I would have to go through their insurance company & that there was nothing that he could do. I spoke with their insurer,Cincinnati Insurance. The adjuster Philip Isom took a recorded statement & said he would get back with me. I had to chase this man down for weeks & he wouldn't return phone calls or text messages. I finally had to call his boss today & then he called me to tell me that his denying this claim because it was no fault of Moes. As I explained to him, if there is a puddle in the floor that is the size of Lake Erie & there is no wet floor signs down by the bathroom, then how is it now? Anyone readying this, I would avoid this Moe's. They are careless & don't look out for their customers. read more
