If you are vegan or have severe food allergies, THINK TWICE before coming because they may get your…read moreorder wrong no matter what you tell them. My parents come here often and I tried it for the first time tonight. Major issues. I asked if the soft serve margarita had dairy (I'm vegan) and if the beans had lard. The waitress didn't seem to understand what I asked, so she brought over another waitress. The other waitress simply said "I don't think so", I need a definite yes or no. She would not even go check or ask. I ordered the veggie fajitas. NO sour cream and NO cheese. It came with both. When I asked them to correct it, they brought out a different kind of beans containing meat (which was mixed into everything) and the fajitas even had a piece of chicken (which I can usually ignore but it genuinely felt personal). I'm not usually someone to complain. If you look at my other reviews, they are fairly positive. However this pissed me off. I would be fine if it was just a translation issue, I understand. However the number of things that occurred was unacceptable. And "I don't know" is not acceptable to someone with an actual allergy. That being said. I really did like the overall vibe in here and the robot came out and danced which was fun. But all of that did not make up for what occurred. I wish that it had been better.

I had thought about this place before but we went somewhere else to eat. On the day we decided to…read morestop, we were hesitant but we were glad we did. The decor wasn't over the top and the music wasn't loud. I decided on the shrimp tacos with black beans and rice. Very tasty. The sauce on the side is way too spicy for me. I didn't need it. My wife ordered the Fiesta sampler appetizer, they were shredded chicken. The chicken could have been seasoned a little better but not bad. She said she thought the beef might have been a better choice for her. Chips and salsa were good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. This place was closer than our usual restaurant, will be back

Bowling Soup wrote a song about my life titled, "come back to Texas" with the infamous line- "come…read moreback to Texas, besides the Mexican food sucks north of here anyway." This is hilarious and not always true. We come to Ohio to visit my husbands family and okay- I'll admit I don't trust Mexican food in states that don't border the beautiful country of Mexico. But this was a delightful surprise. I ordered a steak quesadilla and could have done without the extra cheese sauce poured over it. But the flavor overall was good. Rice and beans were also flavorful. I would have like a salsa that had a bit more spice and bite to it. Throw some habaneros, Serranos and tomato's together. Please!!! My husband ordered enchiladas and said they were good. The staff was super friendly and attentive.

Vallarta Mexican Seafood…read more All the vibes of a Mexican Pacific Coast restaurant. Finally persuaded my 100% Italian wife to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood, and she loves this place. Caveat: Vallarta Mexican Seafood is several rungs above the average Tex-Mex joint in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. We really enjoy Sonora Grill Seafood Steak Bar & Grill, and Vallarta Mexican Seafood merits special attention as well. On our radar: La Poblanita Mexican Market and restaurant. A note on stars; Sonora Grille is on Burkhardt, and in a small strip mall; I am not inclined to award a strip mall restaurant 5 stars; however.... Vallarta Mexican Seafoodis also in a small strip mall with plenty of free parking. Folks inclined to visit and dine at The Greene might go west to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Travel Tip: do check menu Spanish definitions to avoid order errors. We can depend upon Yelp whilst researching: Here are 5 Star Reviews for Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Several of these reviews encouraged us to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood: ...but their food is SO GOOD!! Fresh, flavorful, not your typical Mexican restaurant. Visiting from Seattle and was looking for some good authentic Mexican cuisine. Found it here! Vallarta Mexican & Seafood... a MUST try for super fresh, delicious, LARGE portion seafood! Amazing service, fantastic portion sizes, and the food was awesome! will definitely be back! Throughout our 60 year relationship, my wife enjoys dessert as an appetizer, and today is no exception. The Churro's are delivered in a flash; we discovered this special treat nearly 50 years ago during an expedition to Spain and Portugal. The very best Churro's were prepared by roadside vendors, and our friends, Bill and Ellen Rose agreed. Neat ambience, and delightful service. Music is Boomer Music.... My wife insisted on MAR Y TIERRA - Mexican Surf and Turf. Grilled chicken, steak and shrimp served with rice, charro beans, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes - expect a togo box. My son elected QUESADILLA DE ASADA A flour tortilla filled with your choice of grilled meat, stuffed with cheese, grilled bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with rice. And I selected Steak PARRILADAsteak cooked with bell peppers, tomatoes and onions. Served with rice, charro beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and flour tortillas - expect a togo box. Way too much Tilapia on the menu - we recommend to lose this fish and replace with REAL fish. My wife is Very Pleased, and she advises that we shall return

The chiles rellenos were super cheesy and came with rice and beans. They bring chips and red salsa as soon as you sit down (always a plus). We also tried the flan for dessert, rich, creamy, and definitely the highlight. Service was okay, atmosphere was chill, and overall it was a solid experience. Would come back.

It has never been that great, but it is close to where I currently live in Centerville and super convenient. About once per year, we will frequent this location. I have to say this week will be our final visit. Pretty much every single aspect of the experience was not good. We were sat at a dirty table that was never cleaned when they were plenty of clean tables around. The chips were stale and unsalted. The salsa tasted like tomato paste with nothing fresh in it. The fajitas were sad little pieces of chicken and steak with very little flavor and were not even close to sizzling. No fresh lime. Nada. I think I counted two baby grilled onions in the mix. The flour tortillas that came with fajitas were not even cooked. They were totally raw. The soft drinks were flat. The pico de gallo was sadly unappealing - poorly chopped, and it was not fresh. We left most of our meal. As we were checking out, there were some little tiny bits of candy you could purchase as you paid your check. We grabbed a bite-sized Kitcat and a bite-sized Heath. As one final insult, we were charged $.75 for each piece of what was probably leftover Halloween candy. The joke is on us, but we will not be coming back here again. Extremely poor quality all the way around.
