We had lunch here because we were in the area. I had the Grande salad. A ton of grilled chicken on top of salad greens, avocado, black olives, corn and cheese. It really hit the spot. My son had the shrimp fajita salad. Unfortunately it was topped with way too much cheese. He didn't care for that and only ate about 1/2. Service was very good - until it was time to pay. Celebrating taco Tuesday yesterday. My boyfriend raved about this restaurant so we went together. He noted they had great drink specials, but everything has changed. He said they had all new people working and no specials. We had a flight and tried different flavors. The peach and strawberry margaritas were the best. I had a fajita rice bowl. It was interesting. I order carryout with 2 chimicungas. I asked for no guac on both and to replace it with extra sour cream. When I picked up the orders, they both had guac and I was charged for an extra sour cream. The garnish had old tomatoes. They were soft and falling apart. The price was $4 higher for each meal than the menu that was posted on line. The on line menu with prices was a poorly taken phone camera. The print on line was so small that I needed a magnifying glass to read it. I asked for a carry out menu and was referred to the online menu which was out of date. This was my first visit to La Fiesta and my wife and I were very disappointed. read more

My first time here and the service was good! It was small but clean and the ambiance was relaxing! The server Jenny was very attentive and came back to check in on us multiple times and that I loved! I ordered the Carne Asada fries and a side of the street corn. My family enjoyed their food as well. My son had the fish tacos, my grandchildren had the cheese quesadillas and fries, and my daughter had the Fiesta salmon with rice, peppers and onions! The portions are huge!! The Carne Asada fries were good and had some flavor! I was expecting a bit more flavor but overall they were good. Their salsa and chips were yummy and the guacamole was made to perfection! The corn was not what I expected as it was in a bowl and a lot of it lol! As a consumer of street corn, this version lacked the unique flavor that I am accustomed to but it was okay. Great Mexican restaurant, colorful and lively inside. Very friendly and attentive staff all around. The complimentary tortilla chips were warm and really good, crunchy obviously but not hard. And we each got a bowl of salsa which was nice, spicy and thick. We started with fresh made guacamole, chunky style. Avocado was perfect peak ripeness, dish was fragrant and full of flavor. Plenty for two and well worth the price. I had Arroz con Pollo, the seasoning was mild but a dash of salt was all it needed. Loved the tasty cheese sauce. The chicken was so tender. And their rice is fantastic- moist, with saffron and little bits of diced pepper. It was a very comforting dish, and there was plenty of it for a nice second meal next day. My husband had the whole tilapia which he loved and devoured down to the bones. It was very crispy. Our waiter Miguel was a star! Came here on the road looking for a good dinner close to our AirBnB and this was a bright spot. Sat very quickly in the loud but comforting decor. The music is very much a part of the vibe. Our server was funny, nailed our order and was great with suggestions. My shrimp quesadilla had so many delicious marinated shrimp, not scrimping! The rice and beans on the side were so tasty and they had my favorite hot sauces. Fresh, fresh and with a lime and garlic homemade quality, dusted with sea salt. I had no complaints here except that we were supposed to already know what we were going to order without even seeing the menu, as if the fringe stereotypes were all true that all Mexican food is the same four or five ingredients just arranged in different ways. But once we told them what we were expecting they repackaged my guacamole into a new format that I recognized as homemade guacamole and not just a sliced avocado with some soft wheat tortillas. We went to La Fiesta on Main St. in Trotwood/Clayton on 5/15/23 as a group of 9 people. We sat on the elegant patio and had a very nice, friendly server. Everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks and meals except me. I ordered the Ranchero Enchiladas which was the special for $12.99. I could not eat the dinner as the tortillas were undercooked and very poorly assembled on the plate. I didn't complain to the waiter because I didn't want to be the only person to complain and also this was the first and last time I've had a bad experience at this restaurant. I understand we are post Covid but there is no reason to serve expensive low quality food. I won't be back. read more

I go there for a taco Tuesday. 3 street tacos for like $7.50. I order the 3, add a side of rice. The bill comes, and it's $14. I ask the server why it's $14 when the deal was $7.50.... They tell me because I added the rice and I couldn't get the Tuesday special. Basically I paid $6.50 for the tiniest plate of rice. I didn't argue, I just won't ever go back. Sadly I hate giving low star reviews, but I felt like it was a bait and switch. The food would have been a good deal for $7.50, even if I paid $2 for the rice... but it was more the way the server responded and didn't even think how much of a ripoff it was. My friend lives nearby and has been going here for years. She raves about it over, coughs, the Mexican chain restaurant on literally every corner in the Greater Dayton area. I agree. The food is much better here than that mega chain. Spicy, flavorful salsa and freshly made tortilla chips. Anything with shrimp is delicious, as they grill their shrimp perfectly. The Mexican rice has flavor! Yes, yes, yes. Sí!! HOWEVER, this is where we arrive to el problema. Es un gran problema. On a recent visit, we ordered 1 shrimp taco a la carte, 1 side of rice, 1 shrimp chimichanga a la carte...and we received la cuenta. Right under SIXTY ($60) dollars. In addition to our baby meals, I ordered a skinny margarita and my friend ordered 2 of their gold or similar top shelf (but not the highest) margaritas. The prices were not listed on the menu, which isn't the coolest practice, but we are in Englewood, Ohio, how bad can it be? Umm, apparently pretty bad. $12 in food and $48 in drinks. No, no, no. I'm willing to pay top $ for good cocktails and drinks, but we both noted later, we didn't even get a buzz off of these margaritas, so we are guessing there was very little alcohol in them. Ugh. I noted some margarita specials on the black board at about half the price we paid, so I guess I would stick to those if I ever went back and was willing to skip my skinny drink and/or settle for who knows what kind of tequila. This all makes me a little sad because I loved the food and service! I am willing to pay $15 for strong drinks all over the US and world, but I am not willing to do so without being informed beforehand and for a weak drink. read more

As this area is new to us, this restaurant has become our favorite Mexican restaurant. Service is decent, the store is clean and we'll lit, and the food is really good. I have fallen in love with their Charro Beans. It is like a bean soup with meat. I have tried four different dishes here and looking forward to trying more. read more

Tried something new today, had heard great things so decided to try it out. I had the seafood enchiladas I was not disappointed wow they were good. My friend had the steak plate and was equally very impressed by the food. This is not the run of the mill Mexican place they have different and new items on the menu. My husband and I were visiting Dayton, OH from Cincinnati, OH and decided we wanted to try some good Mexican food. We decided to try La Fiesta. Upon entering the restaurant, I had to ask three staff at the front of the restaurant to pull their masks over their nose. This almost made us walk out but we decided to stay. We were seated quickly. However, it took the waiter about 5-10 minutes to greet us. Once we ordered the waiter was very attentive. We ordered margaritas. They were a bit watery for my liking. They put syrup in the bottom of the cup and proceeded to add the pre-made margarita mix. This place has delicious food. I definitely recommend the Street Tacos. My three stars are due to the lack of staff wearing masks. We're in the middle of a pandemic. My family members have passed away due to COVID. Please, take it seriously. I would be willing to return if staff are willing to take COVID precautions seriously. UPDATE: I went back for a second time today because the Tacos were that good! Today, everyone had on masks. I got my order in the time they said I would and everything was still warm when so got home. The spicy sauce that comes with the Street Tacos is TO DIE FOR. It's the kind of spicy I like. Yes indeed this place rocks! A few years I found this restaurant in the greater Toledo area (Maumee to be exact) and feel in love with their salsa! The downfall is I lived in the greater Columbus area at the time. Fast forward a couple years and now I live only 50 minutes away from Dayton. Great news for me right? Well I originally ventured to Dayton to spend the day with my girlfriend and the kiddos, while we were there I mentioned a restraurant I knew of in Toledo it had the same name but haven't been to the Dayton one. So we tried it to get our first impression. The chain is the same! Thank goodness! Cause being so much closer to Dayton means I get that treat more often now. Let's not forget to mention the girlfriend finds La Fiesta the best mexican food in Ohio. Everytime we go we get a 32oz salsa to go. Yes! It's that good!! The first time we went we both order soup which when we got our bowls we looked at each like ooopps that's way to much food cause we ordered sides as well not realizing the soup bowls could feed an Army of men. Anywho, if you ever find yourself wanting mexican, not only will you get the best food, good pricing, and great service, you will get full and be happy! Great Mexican food and a fun atmosphere! The patio is great in the summertime for some margaritas or beers (their margaritas are some of the best by the way!). I usually get the Diablo burrito or the carnitas Arturo - both are amazing. Do yourself a favor and give them a try either eat in or carry out. It's a great place. read more

Went to La Fiesta Main St. in Clayton on Friday Nov. 1st for an early dinner. I ordered 1 Taco Supreme, soft shell, ground beef. The person sitting next to me ordered 1 hard shell, chicken taco. When the food was delivered, both orders were on the same plate. They took it back to put them on two different plates. Brought them back, I bit into mine, it was chicken, not ground beef. They took that back, brought me a plain taco in a hard shell. Sent that back, it came back as one soft shelled taco, not supreme. Sent it back again, The server brought the same thing back, unfolded the flat taco and insisted it was a supreme. Actually, it was a kids taco with no meat and was cold. The server was not real nice about it either. So in the end I had a miserable tasteless cold taco that we were charged $3.99 for. What I could not understand was, a Supreme taco will hardly close with all the ingredients on it. Time to say good bye to this place. Thought things had gotten better from the one time there, we all had to send out orders back because they were wrong and still cold. read more

Sunday afternoon lunch date with hubby and we find this place near our hotel. Located in a strip mall setup, but don't let that discourage you. Upon walking in the aroma is a definite plus, the smells of the food are authentic. We had wonderful service from Alex! He was attentive and checked on us regularly. Service was rushed and the waiter (Jose) was rude. We ordered Fajitas and they brought the rice and beans (which are supposed to be hot) out at least 5-10 minutes BEFORE the actual Fajita meat!! We didn't complain or send it back we just pushed along with the meal. When we needed more utensils and salsa and chips (or anything for that matter) he would come and just throw the stuff down on the table. It was as of us being there was a problem.
