    Margarita Tower, Beef Nachos
    Kimberly V.

El Torro's Margarita tower. $25 for the tower during the Friday happy hour. We got a tower of all flavors, so there was mango, blue raspberry, strawberry, and lemon. Will say, that tower was extremely sweet, could barely taste any alcohol. I think I felt icky from how much sugar was in it. The nachos with beef were nasty. We thought it would be classic nachos with beef added on it, no. It was tortilla chips with really cheap and poorly cooked beef and so much cheese all the chips were soggy by the time the chips touched the table. The complimentary chips and salsa was good tho. I don't think I'd go back again. Left the place feeling sick honestly from how bad the food and drinks were. The actual restaurant is very cute and decorated nicely. Staff was friendly and quick to help us. Hopefully the actual food is good but the quality of the beef alone will be the reason why I do not go back.

I enjoy coming to this restaurant every time! There is hardly ever a wait. The margaritas (frozen strawberry) are always on point! When we come here for dinner, I typically order pollo deluxe! It is hard to resist. I also love their enchiladas and my kids love their cheese quesadillas! My favorite absolute time to come here is on Tuesdays for their $1.50 tacos!!! A $4 lunch (two tacos, chips and salsa and a drink) is amazing!!! I have always had a great experience dining at this location. My only recommendation would be to have staff go scent free! Some of the wait staff drench themselves in cologne and it can slightly take away from the meal as they pass by- but this is just a personal preference!

Slop. Closest apt thing I can think to describe it.

Super SLOW waitress. Didn't understand ONE WORD of English. Screwed up orders. NASTIEST Taco salad I've ever tried. Ate 2 bites amd pushed it away. NEVER asked how anything was at ANY of our tables orders. Came with the bill and I told her I wasn't paying for something disgusting that I didn't eat. Never offered an apology or a replacement meal! Bill comes and guess what? Yup. Took it to the cashier and again NO ENGLISH! Even the MANAGER barely spoke or even UNDERSTOOD English. 10 mins later, finally had it removed off the bill! Never ever again, tyvm. Gross.

Last time we went during cinco de Mayo, everything was amazing. The food, drinks, atmosphere and even the manager who came up to ask us how everything was. This visit in the other hand was total opposite. The waiter took our order so quick he didn't even get my daughters order. The Margarita flight was pretty sad looking. It was missing all the perks about it. Like the peach rings, umbrellas, toppings etc. I asked the waiter why it's missing half the product but he didn't understand me so he got the manager. Unfortunately she was not pleasant and had an attitude about it stating they ran out of the toppings, yet the table next to us ordered the same margarita flight after us and got everything. The manager was unprofessional about it. Other then that the flavor of the food was delicious but the service was not the best :(

ACP. Pretty good but no veggies and very greasy.

Not a great experience. Traveling. We stopped in for water with no ice, tacos with no seasoning. The ACP was excellent and the burrito is a definite "do again"

Good place for margaritas that are very strong. It's hard to get a table during dinner hours but I would guess that's because the food is so good. I came with a bigger group and we only had to wait 20 min at the bar and were given chips and salsa with our drinks. I had the shrimp fajita quesadilla and it was AmAZING! Highly recommend. Great time and good food.

Vallarta Mexican Seafood…read more All the vibes of a Mexican Pacific Coast restaurant. Finally persuaded my 100% Italian wife to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood, and she loves this place. Caveat: Vallarta Mexican Seafood is several rungs above the average Tex-Mex joint in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. We really enjoy Sonora Grill Seafood Steak Bar & Grill, and Vallarta Mexican Seafood merits special attention as well. On our radar: La Poblanita Mexican Market and restaurant. A note on stars; Sonora Grille is on Burkhardt, and in a small strip mall; I am not inclined to award a strip mall restaurant 5 stars; however.... Vallarta Mexican Seafoodis also in a small strip mall with plenty of free parking. Folks inclined to visit and dine at The Greene might go west to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Travel Tip: do check menu Spanish definitions to avoid order errors. We can depend upon Yelp whilst researching: Here are 5 Star Reviews for Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Several of these reviews encouraged us to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood: ...but their food is SO GOOD!! Fresh, flavorful, not your typical Mexican restaurant. Visiting from Seattle and was looking for some good authentic Mexican cuisine. Found it here! Vallarta Mexican & Seafood... a MUST try for super fresh, delicious, LARGE portion seafood! Amazing service, fantastic portion sizes, and the food was awesome! will definitely be back! Throughout our 60 year relationship, my wife enjoys dessert as an appetizer, and today is no exception. The Churro's are delivered in a flash; we discovered this special treat nearly 50 years ago during an expedition to Spain and Portugal. The very best Churro's were prepared by roadside vendors, and our friends, Bill and Ellen Rose agreed. Neat ambience, and delightful service. Music is Boomer Music.... My wife insisted on MAR Y TIERRA - Mexican Surf and Turf. Grilled chicken, steak and shrimp served with rice, charro beans, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes - expect a togo box. My son elected QUESADILLA DE ASADA A flour tortilla filled with your choice of grilled meat, stuffed with cheese, grilled bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with rice. And I selected Steak PARRILADAsteak cooked with bell peppers, tomatoes and onions. Served with rice, charro beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and flour tortillas - expect a togo box. Way too much Tilapia on the menu - we recommend to lose this fish and replace with REAL fish. My wife is Very Pleased, and she advises that we shall return

The cocktails are outstanding, Crystal the bartender made 2 of the best drinks I've had. I ask for an Old Fashioned, that wasn't too sweet. She it perfectly for me, no simple syrup but a little bit of the cherry juice. The jalapeno margarita was dang near perfect. It had an excellent spice kick and sweet to sour ratio was perfect. My meal ended up super cheese forward. I had the queso fuego as an appetizer. The queso flavor was great, go ahead and add the fresh tomatoes if you like and then the flavor adds to the dish. The queso needed heat. I asked for fresh jalapeno and that did the trick. I was deciding between 3 entrees and Crystal recommended the smoke reserve mac. It was super good. Basically a huge mac N cheese dish with smoked carnitas. These nice wedges of cheesy garlic toast came with it as well. Super rich and super good. Same comment on the heat level, needs to be kicked up a notch or at least be given the option of heat level. Great spot for dinner, appetizers or drinks or all.

I've had plantains in the past, but these were certainly the best I've tried. For entrees, we went with arroz con pollo and bandeja paisa which was basically an assortment platter. I was a little disappointed in the arroz con pollo. Rice was over cooked and the flavor was overall muted. For dessert, we tried obleas -- thin waffles filled with jam, caramel and cheese. The waffles weren't true waffles, but more just cracker type. Again, rather disappointing but maybe I just don't have the right taste for it.
