Moe's is beyond the potential for saving at this point. It was a lifelong favorite of mine growing up. The environment used to be so unique and fun, the menu was fun, now it's so commercialized and cheap. Nothing tastes fresh anymore. This is a company wide issue not just this location. Sad to say I'm done going to any Moe's ever again. The cheese was horrible, no more cucumbers, limited toppings, and the meats are so low quality now compared to early days of Moe's. We have been going there lately and it had been good. So i placed an online order and realized i hadn't asked for no tomatoes on something. So I called to let them know. Nobody answered--no problem, they're probably busy. So i get up there and nobody was in the restaurant. I mentioned I tried to call and they said their phone is broken. Really?!? To me it seems that's a pretty important thing for a business! So I mention that I needed them to redo and ask them to take something without tomatoes and they said they couldn't. Really? I have eaten at Moe's many times. What set's them apart from the other fast-casual Mexican counterparts is their queso sauce and the salsa bar. Chipotle's queso is horrible and Cal-Tort's hardens very quickly. The salsa bar was taken away during the pandemic but it is back now! The only better salsa bar for me is Baja Fresh but they closed the one in Manassas. Otherwise, Moe's is very similar to all the others mentioned. Basically burritos, tacos, and chips. Food has changed and they do not offer menu flexibility. Tried to order a menu item and was told you cannot customize. They would not omit pico from the menu item stating company policy. My family and I attempted to dine at Moe's in Warrenton today. While my husband was wearing a mask, I was not, as I have a valid medical exception. The manager approached me while in line with my husband and children, and asked if I had a mask. I replied that I did not. To which she replied "I'm going to have to ask you to wear a mask or use the drive-through". I responded that "I have a valid medical exception, which excludes me from wearing one". She then asked me if I could prove it. I responded that it is not legal to ask someone to prove their exception. Then we left. If you are going to offer indoor dining, then you need to train your staff on the Covid regulations. If your staff is incapable of comprehending those regulations, then do not offer indoor dining. I frequently have attempted ordering moes on DoorDash and every-time it seems once my order has arrived and I'm watering at the mouth it's ended quickly by an obvious lack of attention to detail by your staff. Wow. I had a fever for nachos today. Normally I like shredded cheese on nachos but it seems no one does that anymore, so I came to Moe's knowing it'd probably be queso and it was. This was my first time at a Moe's. I liked having a menu board to read while standing in line. I felt like I wasn't holding the line deciding. I ordered the veggie nachos. I was happy to see they had veggie everything options. On my nachos I had queso, black beans, pico de gallo corn/tomatoes, lettuce shredded cheese, sour cream, and jalapenos. Also I ordered an ice tea. The employees working the line were so friendly to me and others before and after me. The establishment was very clean and I didn't see any food bits dropped in other foods. In fact the hot foods had steam rising and the cold foods looked very fresh. Quite appealing, and the portions were generous. The sweet tea was sweet. I'd say it was at the top of sweet, sweet tea. Next time I might try non sweet. Also at the tea and drink counter is a salsa bar. Nice. Though everything was clean I'd like to see the plastic utensils not have plastic wrap sleeves on them. Each individual utensil and straw had plastic wrap. While it keeps germs away, that's a lot of extra trash. But again the place was very clean. I'd like to come back and try their veggie bowls too. Cost was about $10 but at Chili's or Glory Days , you have to tip whether your service and meal were good or bad. Here I didn't have to tip and I had control over what and how much I wanted. Moe's Southwest Grill is a great competitor in the fast casual Mexican world, so I was very happy to see that they were putting one in near me. They opened not long ago and tonight I finally had a chance to stop in for a visit. I've been to Moe's before so I knew what to expect, but it had been awhile, so I was curious to see if they made any changes to their menu. The good news is that they left what was good the same and made some improvements in other areas. The menu has a pop culture theme by naming their offerings after movies, tv characters, etc. I was very delighted to see that they still have the awesomely famous Moe's queso, which highly recommend. One of things I enjoyed is the salsa bar. They had 6 options of salsa including a very interesting Pineapple Cucumber salsa. Another favorite of mine is the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, which they have two of (Score!). What I really liked about this Moe's is that it is well designed and able to handle a high capacity of people. There is lots of seating, including outdoor seating. The decor is well done and fits the southwest grill touch. The staff was polite, helpful and quick to offer me lots more chips (Score again)! They keep the place clean and tidy. If you like this joint, make sure to sign up for the email club to save a few bucks and get some free queso from time to time. Also, they do pretty good with online ordering, including with iOS and Android apps. Moss is my favorite restaurant. My husband and I love their food and the people that work there. But tonight was not a good experience. I ordered a burrito bowl, and the girl who made it barely put any food in at all! Apparently she's new. My husbands burrito was half the size it usually is. Then we waited and waited. There were three people working the front, and two people in line behind us. Yet, we still waited. One of the ladies working even commented on our food being cold. Moes is the best mexican place of all time. Along with the quick service and like everytime. The food is phonomeal. The queso is the best around town with the cheesey, creamy goodness. I work 1/5 mile from here. Chipotle is 2 miles away and I always go there. Today traffic was horrific on 29 so I decided to try Moe's. Big mistake. Prices are about the same. Quality of food...horrible. The cheese is very flavorless. I got a steak burrito bowl. Rice was dry and room temperature. Pinto beans...flavorless. Steak was chewy...half of the pieces I spit out in the trash can (I'll spare you the picture!). I like the whole "welcome to moe's" vibe that they give. My husband and I went there last night for a quick dinner. The food is very good. I had a chicken quesadilla and he had a burrito. His burrito was huge. I love the guacamole and salsa. We used to have this place in Fredericksburg and they closed down. I went in for lunch and tried the chicken bowl. Before I had only tried their nachos so I enter to try something a little different. Generally clean, and they have 2 Coke Freestyle machines ( no waiting ). My only beef is some of the ingrediants are not well drained, so if you add onions or peppers ( or even mushrooms) you are going to have a soggy mess. Ask them to drain well. Eerie visit on 7/24/21. The restaurant had no patrons inside or outside when I arrived to pick up my online order. There was no air conditioning inside the restaurant so it felt like the same hot humid weather from outside. I had to wait in the hot restaurant for my order since it wasn't ready (even though there were no other customers inside). All I could think of was whether or not the lack of air conditioning affected the food refrigeration. When I inquired, I was told that the air conditioning had not been working for the past couple of weeks. This is based on a take out order. I requested extra meat which I was charged for. There were maybe 10 small bits of chicken. I asked for fresh jalapenos and received none. The good: lots of items to choose from to stuff your burritos, tacos and salads. Kind of a Chipotle theme in that regard, though I did think the meat portions were a bit skimpy. It's fast and quick and can satisfy that Tex-Mex urge when you don't want to go to a sit-down restaurant. But I find Taco Bell to be just as tasty, despite all the many more ingredients they have available for you here. It's OK, but somewhat pricey. I'll probably stick with Taco Bell. read more

I've been coming to Moe's in Gainesville since the location opened. I always get a chicken & cheese quesadilla, but today was the worst experience I've ever had. I went with my fiancé & we both ended up getting chicken quesadilla's. The chicken was so over cooked it was black & extremely chewy. I had to pick all my chicken off because I couldn't eat it after the first few bites. My fiancé only ate half of his quesadilla & he eats anything. Patricia, who was behind the counter, put very little cheese & chicken on the tortilla itself, then when I asked for sides of sour cream she barely filled the small container up half way. For $25.71 the two disgusting quesadilla's were not worth it. The portion size along with the poor quality of food was appalling. I would have rather spent my money at Taco Bell, at least their chicken isn't tarnished black, hard, & chewy. I have been in the restaurant industry since I was 16 and have been everything from a host, server, bartender, & manager. I only have a yelp account to see the yelps of the restaurant I am currently employed by. I have never felt the need to yelp about an establishment until today. Both myself & fiancé feel ill after eating their chicken. Moe's motto is their freshness, which is why I'm usually willing to pay the extra dollar because the quality of food is worth the price. This was not the case today. The manager or owner was even sitting down having a meeting in the restaurant while this horrible quality of chicken was being served to her guests. In the picture I'm attaching you can see how gross the chicken is & the tiny amount of sour cream I was given. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I will not be returning back & I don't recommend anyone go to this particular Moe's. This Moe's was very cheap with their food. They gave me, (and I counted), 6 small cubes of steak in my burrito. I asked for extra, to which they said "No." I was very disappointed by this because my total came out to $9.95, for very minimal steak. The workers were also very frugal with the toppings, giving me around a teaspoon and a half of guacamole. Lastly, and worst, there was a worker rotating from the cash register to the topping station. While she had gloves on, she was still handling the person in-front of mines cash as well as my credit card with her gloves still on. She then proceeded to reach into the bin of lettuce with the same gloves on, to help the person behind me make their burrito.
