El patron is the best Mexican restaurant that I have eaten at in Alabama and ranks right up there with some of my favorite southwestern Mexican restaurants. I always have the molcajete and my husband orders different entrees. Our food is consistently good and prepared the same every time that we order which is a difficult thing to achieve. The service is always excellent and the servers are always friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is casual and the place is clean and well maintained.
