It's a shame the Moe's location in Trussville has closed down which cause me to make a drive to this location in Gardendale. The concept is the same here as with any other Moe's location. I came here to redeem my birthday burrito since it was about to expire and I always have to get extra steak added on since it never be enough with just one scoop of meat. There queso dip is always good, but the guacamole that I had was bland. The employees that was fixing my food were awesome. Only, when I got to pay was there a issue. The manager I'm assuming could let me use my $10 dollars Moe's cash that I earned for building up points. She said I had to either used one or the other because in her words if I used both, it would make it seem like I was getting free food and corporate would've noticed. read more

Excellent customer service but the quality of food is lacking. I have tried Moe's many times at different locations and I am always disappointed. I went today because I received a free meal. A $10 credit was applied to my app. I placed my order online via the app. When I picked up my order, it was wrong. My bowl had rice and I requested no rice. I took it back and the two gentlemen working were very apologetic and corrected it right away. But they were out of shredded lettuce. 4.5 stars for the awesome customer service and app promotions. read more

Will STEAL your money!!!!!!!! On 5/30/2023, I placed an online order at 5:16pm CST. The email confirmation advised that my order would be ready at 5:46pm. I arrived around 6pm because I know that they can get busy. I told the young woman my name and she stated, "They're still working on it." This was odd as I order from this location often and I have never had to wait. I was also confused because I ordered a meal kit and clearly saw a meal kit box on the counter....But figured probably belonged to another customer. I went out to grab my kids so that we could wait together. 10-15 minutes later after they have cleared the line of about 6 people, I see the cashier retrieve a cup from the box, go over to the food station, add food to the cup, place it back into the box, and then tells me my order is ready. I told her that I was not accepting that. A woman dressed in all black, who I assume was the shift lead or manager comes over as the young woman explains that they were holding on white meat chicken. So instead of advising me of this and giving me an OPTION to wait or just pick a different protein, they decided to allow ALLLLLLL of my other food just sit and get cold? I told the woman that i wanted a refund. She tells me that it's wasteful and that she could just prepare the entire order for me fresh... THAT is still wasteful because there is still an entire order just sitting there unless they were gonna just serve it to customers arriving after me....She told me that she would REVERSE the charge. Well, it POSTED to my account! If she would have done what she LIED and told me that she would do, the charge would have disappeared from pending. But it did not. I came here today for the grand opening. There are a ton of burrito lovers out there and I knew there would be cause this place was packed! There were so many workers both behind the counter and outside just greeting customers. This Moe's seemed bigger than most I've been to and was super clean. I ordered a junior joey bag of donuts with chicken, rice, black beans, pick de gallo, corn salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, and cilantros. It was delicious and the size was pretty filling for me. I only ate a few of my chips and tried their avocado salsa. Delish. The workers were every clear about which ingredients cost extra. Queso is $1.09 extra, and I'm not sure exactly but guacamole should be about the same. I like knowing this information up front. The only thing I noticed that was different about this Moe's and the one I usually go to is that they have a feta cheese as a topping, and I didn't see bacon. Not sure if they replace each other on the menu or not, but it was different. This area needed a Tex Mex place, and it's finally here. read more

They had a sign outside that said call, and they would be right out, but then told me to come Inside to pick up my online order on the front table. I did, then got back to the car and realized there was no drink. I had to go back in and ask what the vivid-19 procedure was for the drink? They gave me a large cup and I had to go get it myself. The customer service is PHENOMENAL!!!!! The manager, the cashier, literally every single crew member was sweet, thoughtful, and helpful! Not a single employee stopped, even when there were no customers to tend to, they were constantly cleaning. I know chain restaurants can be hit or miss with the actual quality of the food, but the people who work here are so kind and helpful. Excellent customer service for a counter service restaurant where the employees obligations honestly end at the preparation of the meal and taking the money. The cashier brought us our food so we wouldn't have to stand and wait for it and the worker on the line made our food quickly and correctly. All of the workers are still masked despite the recent relaxation of local mandates which is not the case for a lot of restaurants in Gardendale. As someone who lives with a Dad aged in his late-60s, I really appreciated that. I know managers read these reviews, so I just wanted to shout out the very kind workers here. read more

Ordered a salad with romaine lettuce on the app for curbside pickup, received a salad with MAYBE 1/2 a cup of wilted soggy shredded lettuce. Hardly even filled half of the bowl. The chicken was dry, hard, cold and tasted as if it had been sitting out for hours. The chips were very stale. I didn't receive the dressing that was ordered with my salad. And the queso was different than normal, it tasted terrible and had a chalky texture. I normally love Moe's but today was extremely disappointing! read more

Clean store with helpful staff! It's nice to have a quick Tex-mex option in town. It's also a good spot to bring kiddos.
