I can't even fathom how horribly my boyfriend and I were treated in this establishment. I don't know whether to start at the grease dripping down the walls, or the grill that that hasn't been cleaned in a few weeks.. actually no I'm starting with the incredibly rude woman working the line. Just visited this location but waited in line for over 10-15 minutes and moved only two feet forward. I get it, it's busy. I was happily texting on my phone so I didn't realize how much time went by until I heard an exasperated employee speak up at a customer who apparently ordered no tomatoes (employee said something to the effect of, "If you don't want tomatoes just don't mention tomatoes when you order it." The customer apologized. (Wait, what?! The customer apologized?!) Everyone in line stared and a few people murmured about what had happened. So now I'm watching the employee and she's got this edge to her that made me just not want to have to deal with her at all, so I left. We had moe's for the first time tonight. We ordered on Uber eats or door dash, one of those apps. I'm giving this a 3 stars just in case we did something wrong . Not a single thing we ordered had cheese. Maybe they ran out or we didn't work the app right . The burritos were also pretty small. The chips were fresh, which was very nice but really could have used some seasoning or salt. We will definitely give them another try but probably not any time soon. I visit Moe's locations in New England frequently and this was my worst experience. How bad? So bad I downloaded this app just to let you all know what's going on in this restaurant. When I entered, the place looked sloppy (tables dirty, ingredients bar was disheveled, beans looked soupy). The man at the counter looked like he was being held hostage, quietly taking my order and avoiding eye contact... but then she appeared (Kat) and I began to understand who might be holding the young man hostage (so to speak). As my friend was requesting his order he held his mask 1 inch from his lips to make himself more understandable to the employee standing 6 feet away behind a glass barrier. "You can't pull your mask down" she said. He tells her he's trying to better communicate. She says "it doesn't matter, mask must be worn correctly " He continued his order and got rung out by before mentioned male. After passing over 5 dirty tables we found a suitable place to sit in the corner. Soon after 6 people filed in hungry for some southwestern Mexicana comida. All were safely distanced from one another and wearing masks up to snuff with the strictest of standards. She yells for the 6th man walking in to wait outside in the 25 degree weather citing that by her decree there can only be 5 people in line at one time. The man, flustered, just walks back to his car and drives off. At this point we had enough and walked out ourselves never to return to this location. I cannot speak for all members of the party I was with but the only good food I had was the chips and salsa. read more

Cause that's totally normal. Unless it exists and I couldn't see it past all the mess and filth they left behind. I also had to ask what they had because I wasn't tall enough to guess and it wasn't listed in front of me or told to me by the server. Then my boyfriend asks for a chicken quesadilla, she writes the name of the meal in sharpie on the foil, exposing his food to it...great. Like she couldn't remember a chicken quesadilla in the distance traveled between the counter and the grill. He also had to ask what was available to him and had to ask a different server to add to his quesadilla...as the original server felt cheese and chicken pretty much covered the order. They advertise all these free ingredients and make it incredibly difficult for customers to order. Overall, some of the worst service I've seen in my entire life. Horribly dirty conditions, mad me sick looking at the counter my food was prepared on. Everything was cold, nothing quite like eating a nice cold burrito and quesadilla. The only positive was that they had a salsa bar... But even then it tasted mass produced, straight from a can, absolutely tasteless and saltier than 700 Cans of soup. I walked in to this restaurant with two friends and I've never had moes before, I went to the counter to order and I already noticed she wasn't being too kind to my friends. The first I was told was " what do you want" in a very sassy tone from who I assume is the manager. She told me to stop wasting her time when I asked for something not on my burrito. "Don't waste time telling me what you don't want." There was no one else behind me in line either so she didn't need to be in a hurry. I pointed to something I wanted to try through the glass and she yelled at me to not reach over the counter and all I did was point at the glass! It's been a few years since I have come across an establishment that I thought truly deserved a 5 star rating. With that being said let's dive into the scenario at the local Moe's.... From the second that I open the door I am greeted with equal amounts of that beautiful Tex mex smell and a friendly voice welcoming me. I knew I wanted a stax but proceeded to stare at the menu like a dumbass for about 30 seconds before proceeding to the area that you order food. Over the next couple of minutes Davon took me on the most magical journey of my lifetime. It was almost as if our brains and heart were connect by an imaginary string that told him exactly what I wanted and needed at that exact time in my life. First with the warm pressed tortilla and then the beans and the rice. Then onto the chicken that was perfectly cooked and the toppings. The way he drizzled the queso onto the stack was breath taking. This man is an artist. There is no question in my mind that if there were competitions for this type of thing he would take first place every single time. Honestly Moe's should look into changing the name from Moe's to Davon'a at this rate. At least give the man a commercial deal or something. This man changed my life and he can change yours too. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. read more

Literally better to drive 20 minutes to Waterford than go here. I placed an order online due at 5:50. It wasn't ready at 5:50. No problem. It wasn't ready at 6:10. Starting to be a problem. I tried to flag down an employee, but couldn't get one to make eye contact and didn't want to jump in front of the people in line. When it had been 30 minutes, I finally called the phone at the restaurant. The manager, Dan, picked up, and to describe his attitude would require me to use words that violate Yelp's user policy. He told me that they're too busy to fill the online orders, I should have gotten an employee's attention or gotten in line and asked them to make it again. I told him I couldn't get an employee to make eye contact, and he began berating me for "disrespecting" his employees. He came out from the office, and one of the other people who'd been waiting for an online order (there were about 6 Door Dashers who came and went while I was waiting) asked about her order. He assumed she'd been the one to call, and went off on her too. She told him that placing an online order is meant to forego the line. He scoffed at her and told her it was her own fault that she'd waited instead of getting in line. She cancelled the order and left. I finally got in line to reorder, and while I was at the back of the line they started my order. I got to the front of the line, and got berated again, ar a louder volume. It was awkward for everyone, including the other customers waiting on their online orders and those who'd watched me wait for 45 minutes. I've been to this location when there are more people in line, fewer behind the counter, and a different manager, and I've never seen them ignore online orders or disrespect customers. It's a shame, because it's a convenient location and the other staff and managers have always been professional (even when they're having frequent computer problems). I was hoping something would be done about it once this review was published, but seeing ALL the other one star reviews leads me to believe that the problems will only continue read more

This was my first visit to the Groton location, but not my first at a Moe's. My order was taken and my food was prepared as I had requested. I had to put only 3 stars because the salsas at the salsa bar were almost all empty (it was not busy at the time of my visit) and there were no diet options in the soda machine. Though the employees were aware, did not tell me prior to ordering a drink. I would have selected tea as an alternative, but it would have been helpful to know when I was purchasing my drink that my options were limited at the time. I will be back though, as the employees were very nice despite the other setbacks. read more

This place was really disappointing. I was there early (11am) and they could not handle the pre lunch crowd. The meat and grilled vegetables for my burrito were cold because they couldn't handle the four people in line. The guy behind the register ran out of ones and was unable to give me proper change saying he would bring it out to me, which he never did. To top it off I have never had a more tasteless meal in my life. The cleanliness of the place wasn't that good and they had not been open that long. This is one of my favorite places to eat out. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. The portions are huge. Their customer service is some of the best I have ever experienced. The last time we went there I ordered steak on my tacos, they had just run out, so she told me it would be a three minute wait. Because of this wait she gave me extra steak on both tacos (which "extra" on top of the amount they regularly put on there made my taco weigh about 3lbs, but I'm not complaining) and an extra cup of queso. This is the second time that this particular lady had been more than helpful. I will definitley continue going there and recommending it to anyone and everyone that want's excellent food with fresh ingredients and exceptional service.
