    Moe's Knows Wraps!!
    Bill M.

This is a pretty solid Moe's Southwest Grill they got over here in Hackettstown. I used to think Moe's was the owner's name or something but it turns out that it's an acronym for Musicians Outlaws and Entertainers which makes me like this place even more. Plus that explains the concept menu which includes plenty of buzz words taken from famous pop culture driven situations.   My all time favorite menu item that this place offers has got to be the "Homewrecker" Burrito which gets it's name from an episode of Seinfeld. It's probably the biggest dang Burrito you can Shake Hands with from any of these chain type places.    Last time I was here I ordered the Chicken version of the "Homewrecker" Burrito and it definitely did not disappoint. It was full of Diced Chicken, Seasoned Rice, Black Beans, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, Jalapeños, Cilantro, Sour Cream, and Guacamole. I mean it doesn't get any better than that does it?   But wait there's even MORE Moe's with their Free Chips and Salsa Bar. Now it doesn't get any better than that!! Come And Get Your Moe's Munch On!!

The Homewrecker burrito, amidst the filthy tables around where I was sitting.

This Moe's restaurant is pure trash. Dining in at this Moe's location is like trying to get excited to shop at Sears or Kmart in 2018- sad, and full of lament where you ask yourself "Why in the heck did I even walk through this venue's doors?" I absolutely hate witnessing a franchise make the brand seem as if it is dying. That was my overall impression of Moe's Southwest Grill of Hackettstown, NJ. First off, there was no "Welcome to Moe's" greeting at 7PM on a Thursday night. The employees (half of them teenagers) seemed as if they wanted to be somewhere else. No energy whatsoever. The employees that should've been bussing tables were sitting down behind the counter talking about what they wanted to do on their second job. Yeah, really. The food quality of a Homewrecker burrito wasn't bad, yet anything tastes good when you load it up with guacamole, pico de galo, and onions. The chicken was a tad dry tonight, but whatever. The restaurant was absolutely filthy. There were so many tables that had garbage underneath it, on top of chairs, and remains of hot sauce on top of the eating space. The nonchalance of the employees that weren't motivated to buss these tables was just unbelievable. Unsanitary, and disgusting. I honestly can't believe that I turned down the chance to eat the very "fine cuisine" from Taco Bell down the street in comparison to eating in a restaurant pig pen like Moe's. At least Taco Bell is cleaner on the inside. Funeral taps for this Moe's Southwest Grill location will be played at 8:00 PM. RIP to brand standards, as well as to my stomach for the diarrhea that is sure to arrive soon.

pay 40 for 2 burritos and they give you 10 chips, cheap ass indians

Just ordered take out for me and my 3 sons. Spent more than $70 for half empty containers. I won't be ordering from Moe's again.

I liked the suicide wings and for me the Cajun could have used a little more kick lol but over all great. The fries were good but after seeing the onion ring that will be what I get. The wings come lightly breaded or not, boned or boneless or you can get falafel w/ sauces. I was pleased to see the full bar and happy they had my Leigenkugel summer shandy. Hubby got Diet Pepsi. He was thinking of getting food off the menu but we decided to see how hungry we were after the wings. 12 wings were plenty and we couldn't even eat those. The Jack Be Nimble w/ Jack Daniel's sauce were our favorites and came with plenty of sauce. We enjoyed the ginger garlic honey as well which seemed more like a rub, but the JD was wet and better. Plus they bring out fresh chips which are supper crunchy and delicious. The wings came out super quick and our server Crystal B was very attentive. The bar is very happening and features local brews as well as all the favorites. There are many options to sit and enjoy. There is outdoor in front of the restaurant and in the patio in the back. You can sit along the bar for a louder atmosphere or on the other side for a quieter more family oriented environment. Hubby wanted a coffee and opted for an Irish Coffee while I finished my beer. It was made with Jameson which is common but not his favorite. It was topped off with a light layer of whipped cream and green food coloring (not a fan).

As we drove up, It looked abandoned but had an open sign and then I noticed someone waiting (for a to go order) inside so we took a chance and went in to give it a try. I was starving and hadn't had anything to eat all day and it was 2pm. We ordered a few things including the BBQ Bulls eye burger, the Cordon Blue Burger (subbed beef patty) and the Fat Elvis which supposedly had gyro meat, cheesesteak, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks all on French bread/sub loaf. Also ordered seasoned fries with fry sauce. The Fat Elvis was actually interesting and decent, BUT again, I was starving. If I weren't starving, I think the sandwich would have been just ok. Not bad, but just ok. Also, I believe they actually made me the Fat Daddy vs the Elvis because I didn't see a trace of any gyro meat. The Bullseye burger was good according to my lunch buddy and he said he'd come back and dine again. He's a fan of anything with BBQ sauce so I'm not surprised. The Cordon Blue burger was just ok. Nothing special about the burger at all. The fries were just ok, nothing special at all and the Fry sauce didn't help make them taste any better. Burger was auto cooked to Medium plus but I was never asked what temperature I preferred. Maybe I looked like a "medium plus guy" - well they got lucky today! Now a couple of extra things: the pop machine was broken/down, no water options and one of their bathrooms was out of order. The internal/external ambiance is not welcoming or inviting at all. The server who took my order, didn't appear familiar with the menu and was clueless about several of the sandwiches on the menu which was odd and not helpful. I think this place would be benefit from a little sprucing up on the outside and inside, including ensure water is available for purchase and getting their machines and bathrooms working properly. All that said, I'm not sure my experience today would compel me return.
