We you ask for 2 large coke icee's, and you get 2 large cups of ice. Funny but not funny no icee

Moe's Southwest Grill 225 Palm Bay Rd., West (by gawd) Melbourne, FL 32904 3 Stars - Chain restaurant review Moe's Southwest Grill is a fast-casual chain that began in Atlanta, GA, 24 years ago. Boasting 619 locations across these here United States including 2 in Paradise (Hawai'i). The majority are located in the South East with Florida taking the gold with a grand total of 94 locations throughout the Sunshine State. Chances are, if you live in FL, there is one nearby. The only one in CA where our vaunted Editor-in-Chief resides is on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendelton. As Marines will pretty much eat anything, this does not reflect the quality, just a nod to the Left Coast. Most places with a proper name are named after someone who meant something to someone involved in the past or currently. That is not the case with Moe's Southwest Grill. "Moe's" is an acronym for "musicians, outlaws and entertainers." At one point, this theme ran rampant throughout their locations. For some reason, they focused on art work and menu puns that featured deceased music legends, they even licensed a special rock soundtrack from Muzak that only included music from deceased musicians or bands with a notable dead person. Morbid but darkly cool. However, after being visited by a lawsuit brought forth by the estate of deceased Deadhead Jerry Garcia, they got rid of all of that stuff. I put in an order for their Homewrecker Ground Beef Stack and one Adobo Chicken Burrito. I took in the relaxing atmosphere and lazy vibes of West (by gawd) Melbourne, snapped a few pictures and soon saw my order ready. Practiced in the art of ereption, it wasn't long on the counter and I returned to my table. First up on the Big Boy's palate was the Homewrecker Ground Beef Stack. This was their version of a fried quesadilla, which I think was invented by Taco Bell, but don't quote me on that. The outside was fried to a perfect golden brown and was crispy, as one would expect. The interior conglomeration of ground beef, beans, queso, and veggies was better than Taco Bell's, but nothing to get excited about. The ingredients were low quality but executed well. Moving on to the Adobo Chicken Burrito. I found this to be on the same level as the Stack. Low-quality ingredients but adequate taste. This is just another grub shack that uses low-cost ingredients at a high price and is served in a grab-and-go style (think Subway). It was better than Subway, but that's not saying all that much, as Subway is the bottom of the barrel among fast-food sandwich places. Unlike Subway, this place doesn't practice hidden chicanery and is upfront about everything. The Big Boy says, "No blood, no harm, no foul. For an overpriced average meal, you can't go wrong here!"

Pros: *easy location *queso was good *coke freestyle machine Cons: *all the staff were inattentive and taking forever to serve people, it was painfully slow with a very long line *steak was gross. Tasted like Steak-um's steak... very poor quality, cold, and not seasoned *the portion size for the bowl is sad *the only cashier was on the phone and more attentive to someone asking common sense questions on the phone instead of the long line of people in front of her *over priced food for the poor quality and portion size.

Birthday double-dip nite! We just landed in Florida, in our way to Club Med, and we cashed in on my wife's and my free birthday burritos. Even though my app said mine was expired, Chelsea, the manager confirmed that it hadn't been used and awarded me my free burrito. She was really nice and accommodating, unlike the managers and staff at the Moe's locations in the Cleveland, OH area. We got the Homewreckers, tofu and chicken. My wife's was humongous which was good for me since I ate her leftovers. Our daughter's kids meal was perfect portion for her and she gobbled it all up! Coke machine was nice & we sat at patio which was awesome. Staff was nice & place was clean. Great all around!

Great fast service. Delicious fresh food. Nice portions, reasonable prices. Courteous employees. Clean establishment, including restroom. Definitely recommend & will eat here again.

One of Moe's burritos (don't know which goofy name this one is). Chips are free but the cheese isn't.

In a previous review for Moe's Southwest Grill (which I will shorthand to just Moe's for this review), I said that it has the new generation of Tex-Mex down pat. However, not every single location is the same. Some might stand out in customer service, flavor, or simply the importance of its location. With that in mind, this Moe's is the one located in Hammock Landing on Palm Bay Rd. For what it is, it does well though it doesn't stand out from other Moe's locations in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area. As mentioned above, this Moe's is located in Hammock Landing, the strip mall known for Michael's, Kohl's, and being the former location for Family Christian. To be specific, it is a corner suite in between Gamestop and, from what I remember, Firehouse Subs. It is also one of the bigger locations for a Moe's too. The interior of the restaurant is clean with ample table and chair or booth seating. The ordering is the traditional cafeteria lunch production line and the staff are friendly. At the end where you pay, there is the drink station and salsa bar where you can try out numerous kinds of salsa with your complimentary chips. Don't worry, the salsas are marked with jalapeno icons to indicate spiciness. The more jalapenos, the spicier the salsa. The food is delicious. Finally, the restrooms are clean. With all I've mentioned above, this Moe's sounds like a perfect score. To be fair, just by going with what I said, it is. However, I want to stress that for chains, I will usually grade them more as a whole. Does this Moe's stand out from others? The answer is no. That is not bad per se, but that does not make it any better than other Moe's restaurants. At least it is not any worse too. Summarized, this Moe's location is A-Okay but don't expect anything better or worse compared to the other locations here in Melbourne/Palm Bay area.

What excellent service here at Moe's. Chelsea, the assistant manager, was such a delight. She was attentive and had great customer service skills. Our food was delicious and surprisingly done in a quick manner. We were able to meet the manager, Ed Velazquez. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. He even had me sample the Vanilla and Cherry Dr Pepper, which was yummy. All in all, Moe's was a great choice for our dinner needs.

I like that they have the coke freestyle machine and even a unique flavor only available at moe's. Why do they have to yell at me the entire time? Welcome to Moe's!! Ok I'm here. But do I really need to be yelled at? Flower on the hot, stack down, Moo Moo in the cup, cooking steak. Geez! I know what I ordered you don't need to yell every step of the process at me nor do I care about everyone else's order. The one thing you never hear them yell is "Washing hands!" So that's one thing I know for sure that wasn't getting done. The prices here are expensive and shocking for what I'm getting. These are above food truck prices. GeeZ! At least a food truck would be tasty. I was honestly dissapointed everytime I go into a Blows *Caugh* Moe's. Taco bell $5 box is totally the way to go 3rd the price and 3 times the food. Someone tell Moe. Taco bell is beating you in flavor and value. Wait, did I just say Taco Bell was better than anywhere? Omg! When someone says Taco bell is better then you, you may want to consider closing your doors or changing you food. I mean even KFC has 21 herbs and spices. Step up Moe's! While the Store was clean and the staff was friendly. It doesn't really make up for the fail points of price, food quality or food flavor, portion size and the yelling. I will keep avoiding Moe's in the future.

Good place for a good meal in Palm Bay This restaurant is located in a strip center on the northwest side of the I-95 and Palm Bay Road. It is located on the corner of the center. There is a fair amount of parking to the front and side of the restaurant and plenty if you don't mind walking. The restaurant has seating both inside and out. The outside seating area is 3 large circular tables that are fenced off from the sidewalk. The inner seating area has a mix of booths, tables and counter dining. As you enter, you are greeted with the signature, "Welcome to Moe's" salutation. There are at least 2 ways to order: online or in person. I saw a lot of people who ordered online and were waiting on their order. I ordered by walking through the line. I got an Adobo chicken burrito and a drink. They preheat the burrito and then ask you what items you would like in it. At the end of the line, they wrap it up in Aluminum foil and if you are eating in, put it on a platter with a good amount of chips. You pay at the end of the counter. Drinks and sauces are self-serve via full service coke machines and a sauce bar. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The tables were a little close together but nicely arranged. The cost was reasonable, the portion was large and the meal was good. Overall, this was a very nice experience and I would recommend this for fellow travelers.

Tijuana Flats falls into an interesting category of not fast food and not sit down. In 1995, Brian Wheeler--at the time, just a taco-loving college student--borrowed some money from his dad to open the first Tijuana Flats in Winter Park, Florida. It has since grown to 123 locations in four states, three of them in the Melbourne area. In addition to their quick casual food, they have a large assortment of fun hot sauces of varying intensities you can sample at the hot sauce bar. Find one you can't live without? You can purchase one or more bottles to bring home some heat and spice up your life. Jovi is our food facilitator, and she is wonderfully charming and helpful. If you are tired of burgers and want some exciting great tasting food, I'd advise you to try the following: Garlic Lime Shrimp Bowl with well-seasoned sauteed shrimp, cilantro lime rice (cooked correctly), black beans, poblano peppers and onions, corn salsa, garlic lime sauce, guac, queso fresco, cilantro cabbage and pickled red onions. A truly delightful offering. Cheesy Steak Flautas, two lightly fried tortillas with marinated steak, fajita pepper and onions, garlic lime sauce and cheese. Served with queso, pico, guac, sour cream, and jalapeños. A dish that was prepared quickly and tasted great. The Big Boy says, "Craving fast Mexican? Forget Taco Bell, run to Tijuana!"

I ordered on my app a burrito with pork, beans, rice, lettuce, picante, sour cream, and cheese. Whomever made this burrito, put all the cold ingredients at one end of the burrito and all the warm ingredients at the other end. So my first mouthful was nothing but picante salsa and sour cream. About half way through I started to get some rice, but then got full. I never got a bite of beans or meat because they put it all in one spot. Im not sure if this is protocol or not, but what a horrible way to make a burrito! I don't think this is protocol as I've never had this issue in the past and have always enjoyed a Chipotle burrito. But not today... terrible job. In the future, I will just get a bowl and a tortilla on the side and so I can mix the ingredients first or at least layer them horizontally instead of this mess of a burrito. I will also just go to the Chipotle closer to my house. I was in the area but don't normally go to this location.
