This was a new location we tried. We have been to three others along the east coast of Florida. Food has never disappoints at any of them yet. The wife n I both had the chicken Tinga burrito. One of their best creations so far very tasty with just enough heat for most people. Of course if you want to spice it up they always have a big array of sauces to choose from on their Hot Bar. I hadn't been to Tijuana Flats in a long time, but decided to stop in for a taste. I ordered something new that I had never gotten before which was their tostadas. They turned out so yummy with all of their sauces. The smack my a and call me sally sauce is always my favorite hot sauce. In my opinion it is the perfect blend. I will definitely stop by again. Tonight I ordered the steak bowl with everything and it was pretty yummy, especially paired with their brown butter spicey sauce. Next time I'd skip the jalapeños as they were very spicy. So yesterday I experienced Tijuana Flats in a new location in Viera. It happened to be taco tuesday which clearly means the place was slammed. I waited in line while I enjoyed the decor of the place. The staff member that took my order was very friendly but the place was so loud she pretty much had to shout at me while taking my order. I couldn't believe that they charge for salsa here. Every mexican joint gives it away with chips but here they charge, ridiculous!!! I got my drink and off we went to find a table which proved to be quite challenging but after about 15 minutes we found a table. It took an ungodly amount of time to get out food. I guess taco tuesday is just so crazy that they can really handle the orders. Finally our food came and the tacos were good but the chimichanga was a absolute joke. It wasn't crispy at all and lacked just about any flavor. Aldo the beand and ruce come in these tiny little containers. More of a sample than a side. Oh and that salsa you have to PAY for, well lets just say many store bought brands are much better. Absolutely no flavor or even a touch of heat. If your gonna make someone oay for domething like salsa please make it decent. Getting a refill in this place is a pain in the neck. It would be so much better to have a drink station available to customers but clearly they weren't thinking. Lastly I sampled the churro. It was ok not bad at all but not great either. Seems to be the motto of this place. So the good and the bad. Good- Taco churro friendly staff Bad- Location too small for traffic Chimichanga sucked Staff yelling in my face Loud Tasteless salsa you have to pay for Tiny sides Refills a pain No soda fountain accessible to customers If you like good mexican food as I do give Franciscos and El Charro a try. I ordered takeout to splurge myself and I went to pick it up. When I got home, I wanted to dive into my burrito. However, it wasn't at all what I ordered. I called the restaurant and explained everything that happened. He (Brandon, I think) asked if I wanted a refund or if I wanted them to remake it. I asked him if they remade it, if they could have it delivered. He asked a manager and they said they could deliver it. So I was like, okay great. They'll just have DoorDash bring it to my house. Smaller than the typical TF, but that seems to be the thing in freakin' Viera. No NegroModelo beer either! They did have Yuengling on tap, that kept me happy. Burritos are always great here - big, sloppy, and yummy as all get out. Viera did not disappoint. Servers are quite friendly - and much cuter than Buffalo Wild Wings next door. Guess these guys got the pick of the thin Viera crop. Clean, fast, affordable for a quick lunch or family dinner. They do close ridiculously early, so get here early. There are a few outside tables too, but they're uncovered and directly in Florida afternoon sun. That's hotter than their hotbar. The service here is really good and I have to give a shout out to the evening manager who takes care of everyone on the floor. The only thing is that if you come during the dinner rush it might be hard to find a seat since this is a smaller location. I always like the Tuesday and Thursday deals as they're a great value. The hot sauce bar, a T-Flats specialty, is always a nice touch. They've got a lot of options from mild to mouth burning! The hottest sauces are great, but I also love the Georgia peach and Vidalia onion sauce. Try your burrito with a hemp tortilla if you get a chance - you won't regret it. read more

They have Taco Tuesday and Throwback Thursdays with Burritos, but they are SO much more than that. I wish they had a trash can accessible to the customers since when they get busy, their limited number of tables fill up fast and their staff has bussing tables to add to their chores. The soda fountain drinks tasted sour. We thought is was the ice so asked if we could have them remade without ice. Unfortunately, it was the soda. Our food was not only cold, it was made incorrectly. We could not find anyone to talk to about the food and to ask for a refund. There were three employees; one out for a smoke, and two in the back laughing. The music was so loud we could not get their attention. The restaurant was absolutely filthy. The tables sticky, the floor riddled with food. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was very delicious. I have celiac so I was happy to see corn a corn tortilla option on the menu. I got the steak street tacos and the meat was excellent and sauce on top had delicious flavor. My boyfriend got the steak chimichanga and he said it was really good. We ordered the queso to being and I thought it was delicious. Only slightly disappointed with the watery strawberry lemonade and the queso could have been a bit thicker.
