Found two live bed bugs upon arrival and immediate search of the room. New owner tried to argue with me saying it was a beetle and this is an "open area" whatever that means. He will try to use his language as a barrier and argue with you. Only after telling him I've been in maintenance for 10 years did he acknowledge it was in fact BED BUGS. We left immediately, he did give us a refund but still made us pay $20 credit card fee??? Absurd. New owners have let this place go down hill fast which is a shame because we have been bringing our child here for years. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE. Family member paid $600 for a pool party for 20+ people under the understanding we were getting the house rental plus pool room. Owner, Who is absolutely disgustingly rude and beyond Unprofessional. After payment and pre-authorization that they were getting the house, we arrive & they gave us a two person hotel room for 20+ people. There was no tables or chairs for people to sit down or for food to be put on. Leaving us having to use pool table and air hockey table for presents and food. Leaving children to eat on the floor. They gave us one table that was torn and could barely stand. The changing room in the pool room (Which is just a room with a bench) Was "out of order", Making it so children had to walk out in the cold, up to a hotel room to get changed to go into the pool. Then again soaking wet to get changed after the pool. Owner came in, Looking for employee. & We asked if we could speak to her In reference to what we got out of a $600 birthday party. she was extremely rude from the very beginning. I rented the place for a pool party last year for $350. We had a great experience last year so we decided to rent again this year.. I called made the arrangements in September. Put the down payment and everything was never told that anything changed and that we wouldn't be getting what we got last year.... Fast forward to this year we rent again thinking we're gonna get the same awesome experience as we got last year and this year I paid more got less..... we got a lousy hotel room for 60 people when I made the arrangements. I explained to them that it was going to be 60 people so I'm under the assumptions that we're getting the same thing we got last year get there get a hotel room for 60 people that fit maybe four people in the hotel room, all the way on the other end of the driveway have a room full of people that can barely breathe. You have children running up and down the driveway from the pool to the hotel room to get dressed for the pool and to get dressed to get out of the pool because they closed off the changing rooms in the pool area there's no bathrooms in the pool area, we had people with that had wheelchairs needed to get in. Couldn't even get to the hotel room to go to the bathroom so they moved us from the hotel room to the game room with no chairs. No tables gave us a table that was a table that was falling apart and had holes in it , and I paid more this year than I did last year. We had such a horrible experience with this owner. She was rude, cruel, and mean she was taking pictures of our cars and our license plates threaten the cops. She was really really mean and didn't give two fucks if these kids catch a pneumonia or not...pictures of the table we got and how we had to use the pool table and air hockey table for food and... when somebody calls and make her reservations, expecting to get the same thing as they did last year and they show up and get something totally different they should explain what you're getting when you make the reservations because I was under the impression that we were going to be getting the same thing as we did last year, considering I paid more this year read more

Beware of the $50.00 early check in fee and the $50.00 late check out fee. check out is 10 am! Spoke with the person at the counter and he was rude, condescending and unreasonable! Our air conditioner does not work well or at all. It will keep you up all night as it never catches up or shuts down! The shower head is so slow that it is not possible to get out of the room when you need to be somewhere! Room is clean and convenient for our trip here, but we will find another place for our 2025 visit!!! Also, there is not enough towels and washcloths for two people! I stayed at the Mohican every August for 5 straight years in one of the condo units for a one week stay. The last time I stayed I had a business associate meet up with me and my girlfriend for the weekend. Per the agreement each condo came with two parking spaces. When my associate arrived on his Harley, someone had parked in one of my spaces. I backed my car out and he parked his bike in that spot. After a night on the town we arrived back at the condo and there was still no spot available. Since it would be easier to find a spot to park the bike, he moved the bike and I parked my truck. As soon as I got into the condo the phone rang and the owners told us we had 10 minutes to leave the property. I told them I was not packing up a place at 2:00 AM with no place to stay when I still had five nights I had already paid for this unit. 10 minutes later the cops arrive to force us out on the street. I was told the owner would send me a check for the remaining five nights which I never received. I disputed this with the credit card company sent them a report on what happened. They in turn told the credit card company I was never asked to leave and I was trying to get a free stay!!! Upon receiving this reply, I sent a copy of the police report showing they called the police telling them "a bike gang was throwing a wild party and and driving around the complex on their bikes"! What makes this story even more incredible is that afternoon they invited us out on their boat since we were such great customers!!! Be aware of this place and its owners at your own peril. read more

Very poor experience. We were party of 4 with a 10 month old. We were given a room with a horrific smell. Management said there was no smell and handed us febreeze. The next day we were informed they had a long term tenant in that room who was a smoker and had 3 dogs. Ownership took no accountability of our complaints. We left after 12 hrs. read more

Our home away from home in Lake George! We come here for a week every summer and always get a room up in back facing the woods with a picnic table on the deck because we like to cook out. It has a great kitchenette with a big apartment size refrigerator; we will go to the grocery store and load up on water, food, snacks etc. and it's great to be able to make Mac and cheese, soup, etc in the room for the kids. The rooms have recently been renovated so it's always a nice stay. The indoor pool is always so amazing, along with the hot tub and the gym. There is something for everyone here- an arcade and pool table in the indoor pool building, an outdoor pool, a basketball court and a playground for the little ones. We love the ice machine next to the pool, we load up our cooler every day, so convenient. There is also continental breakfast and the coffee is on all day. But- the best thing about this place are the owner and the staff. Patrick and the staff go out of their way to welcome you and make sure you have the most comfortable stay possible. What's really nice is we have had the same housekeeping person for years , every time we come up- that says alot for a business when the same staff is there year after year. You can't beat the price of the Mohican , either. You are definitely getting great value for your money. It's very convenient being in walking distance to the outlets and Great Escape , and a quick ride into the Village. So many people want to stay on the lake but you really get an unbelievable value at the Mohican. We look forward to coming to visit again this summer! Last year our grandson ( age 16) brought a friend with him and the boys were happy just staying at the resort going in the indoor pool every single day, the hot tub, working out at the gym every day and playing video games. Plenty to do if it rains without needing to go into Lake George Village. We are so pleased that we discovered this gem years ago and we can't wait to come again! read more

Not spa like(nor the spa like cost) setting but that is not what we were looking for. Very economical. They had rooms, suites, and apartments. What a choice. Was in Lake George for a lacrosse tourney, our organization had 3 teams in the tourney and most of us stayed at this motel. It was absolutely charming and awesome! The manager really accommodated us and a team party, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. It was a nice change from a regular hotel! Really nice outdoor pool and they have a pool and hot tub inside as well including a little game room for kids. Very close to town and the mall and you could walk there! Oh, if you like guns, there is a sweet gun range right across the street! We plan on going back to Lake George next summer for a little family getaway and we will be looking to book here again! read more

My boyfriend has been taking me here every year. We go to lake George every summer and this is our spot. Yes, it's a motel, but it is super clean and the staff is great. This is a family owned business and they are usually always booked. That's because they have a ton of regulars. It has a family feel. Lake George has a lot of motels, but this one is the best. It's away from the village but still close to everything. It's quiet at night, you don't get the noise from the village. It's has a nice pool. Just spent a week here with my family. What a nice place to stay. Right in between the village and the amusement park was great. Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the area. Love both pools and jacuzzis. Unit was clean and perfect for making a meal here or there. Only little thing would be if there was an outdoor clothesline or one in the shower to hang up wet swimsuits.
