The walk was nice during the day, but we drove in at night since it was too dark. The main draw to this location was that it was only 2 blocks away from the Warren County Bikeway. Stewart's shops was down the block which was perfect for our ice cream and coffee fix. The stay itself was average. We arrived at 7pm and found no one in the office. We called the number and someone arrived promptly to check us in. Just concerned what would have happened if we did not have phone service. Turns out the staff was hard at work cleaning (they just finished cleaning the room). We found the Adirondack Lodge to be a good amount of space for 3 people and definitely would be ok for a couple more. The room was very clean. The fireplace area had a nice homey feel to it. We were expecting to find some plates, pots/pans and silverware, but we found none. Luckily we brought our favorite pan and spatula with us, so we just had to pick up some disposable plates and plastic ware to cook what we wanted. The comfort level of the mattresses were mixed. Mine was sufficient, but the others preferred the futon in the main area over the mattress. Staying here on a return trip depends on what is planned. If I wanted to use the bike path and do more outside of town activities, I might. However if more activities in town were planned I'd likely stay in a place there. Prices were competitive, so that is a factor too.

We stayed in the motel area each time, but this year we had some problems (AC not working and key kept jamming and locking us out) but they were super responsive and offered to move us to a different motel room or upgrade to one of the cabins for the remainder of the stay. We moved to a cabin, so it was nice to test out both options. Both types of rooms are immaculately clean, comfortable, and have full kitchens. The location is convenient to be just outside of the bustle of the town, but about a 15-20min walk to the village or beach. It is on Route 9, but the rooms still seem very quiet. Cons--the only things I find slightly weird are that you have to bring your own towels and hand soap? Also, would be nice if the bedding looked like it had been updated in this century (dated polyester bed spreads just feel grungy no matter where you stay) some clean white comforters and sheets that can be easily cleaned/bleached would do the trick.

There is so much more I can say, but I highly recommend booking directly with Blanca, she was perfect at finding the perfect rooms next to each other to accommodate our needs! Last night 9/30...9pm) a mom and her young son around 8 years old, with autism, was driven to the Blue Moon Motel late to check in. This mother went in with her son to check in and the receptionist refused to let them check in. She was waiting in the lobby while the desk person looked her up in the computer ... and she instead said verbatim.. she was "not going to be able to help her... cuz her kid was like 'that'"....mom said "like what? He's autistic" and the desk person said "oh we can tell that.. and their destructive, and we don't tolerate that here" Mom left in tears with her son and started to contact friends and family for help. Thankfully the driver stayed right with her trying to console her and offer support to the son while mom figured things out. As they were outside that same woman came to the door...proceeded to shut the blinds, lock door, turn off lights and turn off the "open" side as they stay out in the parking lot. I am all for businesses refusing service if they feel they need to for whatever reason but THIS ...this is disgusting and the community needs to know exactly what type of establishment this is..complete and utter discrimination and just nastiness. Their website states "family oriented"...and "family friendly"...this is such a lie and they need to be called out for it The mom and the son were able to find another hotel that was amazing and offered so much kindness thanks to the driver that stayed with them. If this uber driver left ...this poor woman would have been stranded in a dark parking lot!!! Pleade share the crap out of this and express your absolute disgust as to how this was handled. Wasn't bad during the day. But got home at 1AM from a show that we were outside all night at. Then slept in cold all night and got up and it was absolutely freezing. Pack layers if you can because obviously no one replaced the knob for us... I guess children to have access to the heat. Pretty deal for me when paying so much for TINY cottage. Insane! Otherwise if we could have gotten some heat very please but heat is unfortunately a huge deal.

The bathroom was fully sized with a shower head that had very good pressure. There was a nice kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator, two burner stove and all the kitchen utensils/pots you will need. There were four solid, Adirondack chairs surrounding a fire pit that included, dry cut wood. Also, a picnic table that at night we played cards on. The location was a five minute drive to all the shops and the beach. It was very convenient to everything in the area. The pool was very clean and refreshing. My 11 year old loved it had a deep end so he cannonball into it. Plenty of chairs to sit out and spread on. I also have to mention Chris and Amy, two of the property keepers that keep the place wonderful looking and make sure you have everything you need. Chris even offered to start a fire for me. I would highly recommend this establishment.

The 2 bedroom cabin we stayed in was spacious & the porch/picnic table out front was perfect. Cabin was nice & clean. Pet friendly & the owner even brought us over a little gate to use while we sat outside with our dog on the porch. Our cabin was right across from the pool which was VERY clean & refreshing my kids loved that pool. The best part about this place was the family who owns/runs it- they work so hard & were so helpful & friendly. During our stay the AC started not working as well (it was super hot muggy July) the owner came immediately to our cabin & REPLACED the AC unit to a brand new unit - it was nice & cold after that. I couldn't believe the service - you can tell they truly care about their guests. Up the hill they had a swing set, basketball court, volleyball net- fire pit, grills, a zip line. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around & play. My daughter rode her scooter around at the top of the hill and other kids had bikes. We stayed Monday-Thursday in the middle of July & it was very peaceful & quiet while still giving that fun family friendly vibe. You can tell this is the type of place that once you stay here it will become "your place" year after year & we will definitely stay here again !! I wish I took more pictures of the place but I'm not usually a reviewer so didn't think about it but this place deserves the shout out !

The whole grounds are in excellent shape, very well-maintained. The pool was sparkling without the overpowering smell of chlorine, and we saw them take care of the pool daily. The scenery was beautiful, very calming and relaxing area yet still very close to downtown and all the shops. I highly recommend it will definitely come back.
