Second time here, this time for the Adirondack food and wine festival, which was conveniently located across the street. We arrived early , hoping to get into the room but no luck. So we attended the festival and returned back to the hotel and we're told the rooms still weren't ready. No problem, we took a drive to look around and when we came back, we sat by the pool. The wonderful girl at the front desk came out to tell us that rooms were available. So nice of her to seek us out. Oh, and again, the rooms are spotless and the pool area was clean too. This is our place, you have us for life.

We stayed here 4 nights in mid-September 2024 to explore the area between Ticonderoga and the Saratoga Battlefield. We had a king room, which was spacious. I was told there were only a few of these in the hotel, so I'm glad I reserved early. The vinyl plank flooring made the room feel even cleaner than with carpet. The bed was especially comfortable. I really appreciated that the soap and conditioner were not scented. The AC worked well, and the shower was very good. The sink was separate from the shower / toilet, which I like. Breakfast was the same every day (egg and sausage patties), but that was fine with us. The breakfast room is on the small side yet we never had to take our food back to the room. The location of the hotel was just about perfect since we could easily walk to restaurants each evening.

The hotel is beautifully kept. Rooms very clean. Lots of towels which is wonderful. Lots of pillows, large refrigerator. They offer a hot continental breakfast. Quick walk to the village.

Very helpful and thorough staff. Most clean motel I have ever stayed at. The table and chairs outside my room on the patio made it possible for me to drink my coffee and look at the mountains. QILG was very close to the main strip with all the stores. A shortcut just across the street takes you right down to the lake to the steamboat company and other shops. Would absolutely stay here again!!!!!

    Poolside in the evening

I booked this hotel after researching hotels in this area. It is beautifully kept, the staff was nice, rooms were clean. Loved the view Day or night. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Really enjoyed the fire pit- Recommend staying here!

Peaceful and beautiful sunrise while waiting for the family to wake up

Not only is the staff great our room was just the right size & comfortable .. Clean & modern with a nice bathroom area & shower. I'm not sure if they have elevators but the stairs to the top floor where we stayed weren't difficult to navigate . They had a nice outdoor pool that was beautiful with lights and pretty landscaping W/plenty of clean sun basking recliners . They have coffee in the lobby (I think 24/7) waiting for you early in those large thermos thingamijigs. We enjoyed the continental breakfast which offered nice fresh whole fruits and great coffe & lots more . The pillows were nice and plush , overall definitely a clean, relaxing & pleasant place. I slept like the dead , my daughter said I snored, woke up refreshed & ready for walking . & yes within walking distance to everything !!

    Great view

We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds, it was very spacious and clean. There was only two draws to put our clothes so we each only got one. The shower was big, but the water pressure wasn't great. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would recommend staying here. Also there is a roof top which is very nice and has a view of the lack and mountais. You definitely need to check it out.

The room had two king beds, a small miracle for a man accustomed to one, and the soundproofing was a triumph of human engineering. Even with Oktoberfest raging below, once the balcony door was closed the silence was so complete that I could almost hear my own thoughts apologizing for existing. The hotel sits right on Canada Street, which is the main artery of Lake George's little heart. Shepard Park is practically across the street, full of families, music, and the particular chaos of people on vacation trying to have a perfect time. The staff managed to stay cheerful through it all, smiling with the kind of sincerity that must come from good training or good souls. Parking was a game of Tetris, but I was grateful for the garage. Once my car was wedged in, I had no reason to drive again. Everything that mattered was within walking distance. The rooftop terrace deserves a poem, though I am too lazy to write one. The lake spread out below, blue and calm, and for a few minutes I believed in peace on earth. There is no hot tub, which feels like a crime against nature. The patio outside the pool almost begs for one. Imagine sitting there in January, snow falling into the water, steam rising like forgiveness. The restaurant did not thrill me, and the prices made my wallet flinch. Still, it was a fine stay, the kind that makes you feel momentarily better about the human race before the bill arrives to remind you of reality. Four stars. A lovely place, too expensive for what it is, but worth remembering all the same.

We attend the yearly Tiki event across the road, and this was a 5-minute walk for us. The Tiki is ok, but very loud when the event is going on which makes it difficult to sleep until things end around 1am. Most of the workers at the Holiday Inn were friendly and helpful. Only one seemed to be sleepwalking at the front desk and never did send extra coffee pods to our room when we asked. So, I ended up walking down to the lobby to get coffee each morning (which honestly tasted way better anyway). We've already made our reservations here for next year.

The location is convenient and feels like part of our ritual now. The staff are almost uniformly kind and welcoming to our kids and us. They remember us, greet us cheerfully and make this feel like a home base. The outdoor hot tub was a particularly welcome amenity on this past brutally cold weekend and it helped us warm up a chill that seemed to go straight to our bones after time outside on the lake. It really is one of those few places that feels like a welcome retreat no matter the weather. If there weren't any flaws, this would be a much easier review to write. But there are flaws, and they are things that should have been tended to long ago. The rooms have definitely seen better days. Many of our dresser drawers barely opened. The refrigerator was hardly cool. Furniture had visible damage and some of the electrical outlets were non-functional or battered to the points that plugs fell right out f them. These are not deal breaking in isolation but taken together they left us feeling that the room was tired and poorly maintained. A little thoughtful maintenance or investment here could go a long way and make the rooms feel a lot more comfortable. Another disappointment this year was the breakfast buffet at TRs Restaurant. In years past it was a highlight and something our kids looked forward to to prepare for a cold morning out. This visit, the quality seemed to have declined and the selection felt smaller. The restaurant itself still has a lovely lake view and a cozy fireplace, and the service was still friendly and attentive, but the breakfast spread did not live up to our memories. So I find myself landing on a three star rating. If you take this place for what it can still be, it is a wonderful family resort with great staff and some truly nice amenities. But right now the condition of the rooms and some of the public areas combined with the breakfast experience hold it back from being the much stronger destination I know it can be. Here is hoping that ownership puts some money back into the property so it can recapture its full potential.

Boyfriend had no idea where to stay, and it was my first time going to Lake George so I didn't know either; I chose this place mainly because I like using the Hilton app to book... super convenient - you can choose your room the day before (we prefer the top floor) and if you request the digital key, you will receive a message though the app when your room is ready - and you can go up directly without checking in at the front desk (room unlocks with your phone). We booked the most basic king room. It was clean, bed was comfortable, big flat screen tv and all the usual Hilton amenities. Bathroom had a beautiful shower. The hotel is obviously an older one that was renovated, but it was very nicely done. The lobby is gorgeous. I *loved* the lobby bar area, the stone fireplace and the outside backyard with Adirondack chairs, and even a fire pit and a bbq. I would have spent a while there if the weather had been less misty! Usual Hilton breakfast in the lobby, we didn't take part. It looked similar to the one at Littleton NH's Hampton Inn, but with a bit less options. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful! Very happy with our short stay here and we will absolutely be back!

She lacked all customer service skills. I then asked about my card being charged and she stated I had not checked in. Later when making a complaint with Hampton Inn customer service I learned my card was charged and the hotel refused to return the money. I was advised someone in management from the hotel would contact me within 48 hours. This did not happen. I later emailed the hotel directly asking for a refund as is the Hampton guarantee. I received a reply email containing a vulgar cuss word.

Our food came out with a pretty big gap between plates, I was finished with mine by the time another in our party got hers. I will say they were very gracious seeing as we were a half hour late. Food: Pretty underwhelming, you could get similar or better food at your local diner. Menu is somewhat limited as well especially for sides and drinks. I got the french toast, it wasn't very moist at all, uninteresting flavor, the strawberry garnish was dried up on the inside so must have been left out for a while, bacon was fine, maple syrup was good. I had a few bites of the omelette which was good and home fries which were on the dry side and without much flavor. Value: It wasn't too expensive thankfully despite being marketed as a 'fine dining experience' I'd say value was about even with the low quality food, french toast was $11. Overall definitely would not recommend, you could get better food at a diner or cafe.

Every year we report that the pool deck becomes extremely slippery, yet despite repeated complaints, nothing has been done. The manager doesn't seem willing to listen, has difficulty de-escalating situations, and is often not very respectful toward the staff. It's disappointing because good management can make a big difference, especially when it comes to guest safety and employee morale. We booked and paid for a 4-night stay but were kicked out after only one night because our music was apparently too loud. The biggest issue is that we were never given a warning or asked to turn it down. If someone had simply knocked on the door or called the room, we would have turned the music off immediately. Instead, they went straight to removing us from the property and REFUSED a REFUND. MIND you, the policy was that music had to be turned off at 11 left and turned it off at 10:40. What made the situation even worse was how we were treated by the staff. The manager yelled at us while we remained calm and tried to have a respectful conversation. When we asked for the names of the employees and manager involved so we could file a complaint, they refused to identify themselves. They also repeatedly called us "children" because we look young, even though every person in our group is over 21 years old. It was rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Rather than trying to resolve the situation or de-escalate it, they threatened to call the police simply because we were asking questions about why we were being removed and why we weren't receiving a refund for the remaining three nights of our reservation. Being evicted after one night with no warning and no refund for the unused nights is extremely frustrating. Combined with the way we were spoken to and the refusal to provide staff names, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I cannot recommend staying here and would encourage others to think twice before booking if they expect fair treatment and professional customer service.
