Prior today, we had last visited the cemetery just prior New Year's 2026. We were appalled and taken back, not knowing what was going on upon arrival as we looked at the cemetery, almost every single grave site headstone area, all the flowers, both artificial and fresh all the families who left Momentos on their family grave were all gone with nothing there, and what made it even more fishy was that all the graves were cleaned very very nicely with nothing left. We're thinking that we never as well as a few other people that went to the grave today , when asked also never received any kind of notification from the property manager that they were cleaning up and tossing out everybody's belongings that were decorated and left at their family's grave so We are calling the cemetery property manager tomorrow, Monday March 2nd, 2026 and inquiring as to exactly what is going on there with no indication Or notifications to family members who have loved ones layed to rest at City Memorial. Everything is gone you wouldn't believe how all the graves look. We will also then after giving them the opportunity and advantage of at least answering us will call HPD911 and file a theft report of items from our own Family grave. This is just to let anyone else who has family at city Memorial that they should go and take a look because there were some families who don't get to visit so often or fresh flowers are very costly in this time and age so they decorate beautifully Silk flowers and arrangements there are also people who had potted plants that were growing very Beautifully , extra pots, ceramic pots, clay pots everything is gone, even things as small as tea, cups, porcelain tea, pots, coffee, cups, beer cans, soda, cans everything is just gone. One of the ladies who came today that we talked to said she comes every two Weeks and the first week of January 2026 when she came to put flowers at the grave half of the cemetery or the half closest to Judd Street everything was wiped out and gone, including her families items. She's so happneed to look in the rubbish cans on property and things like her Father's precious coffee mug that she had left at their grave, was in the trash can and everyone else's things were also in there. Flowers, both fresh and artificial , everything was dumped in the Trash. She said some flowers were even so fresh, like it looked as though being recently left at the graves that she said when she came again the following two weeks, leaving flowers again the rear portion closest to Oahu cemetery were totally wiped out with nothing on anyone's grave. Attention****** People who have families buried at the cemetery who don't come so often like we did will be very shocked to see that their Families Momentos or items left on their family graves are all gone, all gone. looking at the Cemetary before entering it, it looks So eerie as the headstones are desolate with nothing there, just a clean grave. Should you also see your families grave site like what we described, which honestly, is every Family should call HPD 911 and file Theft reports with unknown suspects.Even having this story broadcasted on the local News, for this is unbelievable and is just not right. Maybe seeing the story on the local a News may then require the Managing company to release statements to ball the Families who have loved ones buried at this Small Cemetary.

He was such a tremendous help. He explained everything to us and answered all our questions. My dad was cremated on the same day. I was impressed by the modern technology at the Diamond Head chapel that makes it convenient to display your videos and slide shows. Two large screen monitors are built in the chapel and one was in the lounge area where all share the same images. As an AV person, I can appreciate not having to setup a portable projection screen & projector on table and bring a separate sound system for it that is required at many other funeral venues. The wall monitors are easily visible in the ambient lighting compared to a projector and screen. The audio from the video/slide show were conveniently fed into the house sound system. The podium microphone was a high quality Shure gooseneck condenser microphone so it sounded very clear and the thin gooseneck was unobtrusive. Wyatt, who was the onsite funeral director, was professional, quick, attentive, talented and caring in all aspects of his services. He's not one to stand around doing nothing and has a keen sense of attention to detail as evidenced by him picking up trash to make everything perfect. He surprised us by playing the trumpet during the burial ceremony. Many professional musicians who happened to be in attendance commented on his skillful playing. Turns out he's an accomplished trumpet player as well as an instructor. I would recommend Diamond Head Mortuary and Wyatt as your funeral director.

I recently attended a wake viewing and service at this location, and thought it would be nice to…read moreshare a few helpful tidbits of information with others: 1) Arrive EARLY. The earlier the better. The reason being is that the parking is tandem or stacked, meaning that the parking attendants will direct you to park in a specific lane/row of cars, and you won't be able to leave until the car in front of you moves. There are individual parking stalls in the same lot situated against another building, OR if you are not staying for the entire program, the parking lane that is furthest from the driveway is designated for those who want to leave early. On the evening that I attended the wake, the attendants did ask if we were staying for the entire service or leaving early, in which case we were directed to park in that aforementioned far lane. Secondly, another reason to arrive early is not just for the parking, but for seating purposes as well. To make sure you have a seat for the service (should you choose to stay), arrive as early as possible. 2) Bring a jacket. The hall where services take place is slightly cold, so it might be best to bring a jacket, sweater, or wear something with long-sleeves if you think that you may get cold easily (like me). 3) Additional parking is available in another lot directly across the street. I'm not sure if this lot belongs specifically to the mortuary or if they have an arrangement with another business, but a validation is required (provided by the mortuary) upon exiting this secondary parking lot. 4) The dining/eating area directly next to the service hall has limited seating fyi.
