I had a great dining experience at Mojave on Friday night from the time I walked in the door until I left. Customer service was very good with everyone being very attentive. I was very happy to see the servers all had mask on & were helping guest to remain socially distant. At this time I am only open to patio dining so I was happy to see they were able to accommodate us. From the patio you get a nice view of the Chattahoochee river. The ducks were very loud, but I was able to drown that out with laughter & conversation with my bf. For dinner we ordered the paella which was very flavorful. I ordered Chipotle wings & a side salad. Thank you Mojave for letting me forget we are living in a pandemic for just a moment!! (Of course the servers and staff wear appropriate masks and gloves). Indoor seating is closed during COVID19, but the patio remains open and all dishes are served on real plates with real silverware. The menu is a full service menu (not limited due to COVID). This was my first time here at Mojave and it pretty good! My girlfriends and I wanted to catch up over some brunch on a Sunday morning and I definitely think we made the right choice. Thoughts and Recommendations: - Get here early, y'all! We arrived 5 minutes before opening and there was line to get in! And there isn't a whole lot of parking so come prepared to possibly pay for valet. - Food was decent! I ordered the Omelet Mariscos (seafood omelet) and I loved freshness of the ingredients, the portion size, and the fact that it came with a biscuit and your choice of potatoes, grits or fruits. I will say that this dish lacked flavor. It could've used some more sazon! You know what I mean? - Views and ambiance were on point. We sat at an outdoor table so we had views to the water and the surrounding nature. Truly a relaxing experience. - Service was great! I don't recall out waitresses name but she was so friendly, and patient as we made out decisions. Overall, this was a great first time experience. The floor heaters are such a great idea during the cold weather and for safe, outdoor dining. I was super warm during my meal, thanks to the floor heater. The server was very friendly. Can I just start off by saying wow. Really blew me away. Not the service. But the food and the cocktail drinks! Something to definitely talk about. I was excited pulling into the parking lot because it's like finding a hidden gem in the city! And then you see a nice outdoor patio seating area accompanied by a lake with a little water spout in the middle. Super cute and chic! We went during the day but it definitely seems like more of a cocktail bar and fancy dinner place. But on to my favorite part.. The food!! Im going to give you the bad news first..their queso is YELLOW not white. And comes with tostadas basically and if you don't know what that is, just take this as a sign and do not order it. But my favorite part of the whole meal, the paella! Omg so full of flavor and all types of seafood and meat with the rice. I'm salivating. Sorry, but yeah. It was THAT good. And I only ordered the lunch portion and I was still super full! My next favorite part..THE DRINKS! I made a reservation and requested to sit on the patio. They were very accommodating to my request and our table was ready when we arrived. The reservation process was very smooth and pleasant. However, the food and service is a different story. I typically I buy precooked chicken breast that really isn't very tasty to put on my salad for convenience, so I was looking forward to having a good, fresh salad. To my disappointment, I think Mojave buys the same tasteless chicken breast that I'm used to. Needless to say, my first outing during the pandemic to Mojave definitely fell short of my expectations. In an effort to somewhat stay on my healthy life, I ordered the Red Mesa Salad. The chicken was cold and didn't really taste fresh. It definitely wasn't cooked to order. This place is really like fast food, I would have been better off going through somebody's drive-thru. The food came out super quick, which to me, is an indication of the freshness of the food, or lack there of, and the amount of effort put into it. On top of that, we received terrible service. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since our server was training a new server. There were long periods of time where neither of them were anywhere to be found. I could go on but I'll keep this review fairly short. I rarely write a negative review less than 3 stars but wanted to give a candid review about my experience. Went for brunch where they had just introduced bottomless mimosas!! It's obvious they still need to smooth out the kinks. Our waitress informed us she won't put in another order until our glasses were empty, which is understandable, only if the wait time wasn't 15 mins in between! Once they get the connection between the table and the bar under control, this place will be an absolute vibe! Ordered the Omelette Mariscos (seafood omelette) with cheese grits and potato casserole as my sides. The seafood was a tad overcooked and the egg was very thick, but the flavor was there! It tasted good, and is a great price - but could definitely pair well with some sort of cream sauce I'd imagine. The cheese grits were delicious and creamy, my favorite part of the meal! Potato casserole was simple for a side. The meal was filling and affordable, would go again! Valet was full, so we were told to self park across the street (for free!) - a very short walk for able bodied folks. Points removed for the wait time. Though we had a reservation, we were seated 15mins later. The food took a little under an hour to come out, and of course the wait time in between mimosas, which we were told with very short warning ended at 3pm. read more

The food here was excellent. You definitely need reservations or you can sit at the bar that is first come first serve. This was the first time in a long time I have had Sangria that was sweet and had a kick with it. My servers were Alexis and Luke at the bar and they were very attentive with it being very busy. They have self parking but I would recommend valet it is $5 and that isn't for the workers. I wasn't able to taste their watermelon drink I will on my next time and I will update my review. I'm so sad to write this review because I was honestly so excited to try this place. I have had at least 3 friends rave about the food. I want to allow them grace because it was Valentine's Day and I can see how on a slow day maybe the food would have been better. I personally ordered the lamb and my food, though we waited for 40 mins, came out luke warm. The potato's gratin was under cooked. My friends lamb was burnt. The flavors were good but it's hard to enjoy food that's not hot. The cornbread was yum and the drinks were good but we were all dissatisfied with the temperature and taste of the food. The crab cake was just okay. The server was a doll and did what she could to rectify the situation but this experience left me wanting. I may consider going back and seeing if my experience changes. read more

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars because ohhhhh myyyyyy gooodnesssss. We came here for my sisters birthday brunch with a pretty big group; despite this, the service was still exceptional. Our waiter went above and beyond to ensure that we were adequately taken care of every step of the way. The food was delicious; some of us ordered from the brunch menu, while others ordered from the dinner menu but either way, the food was delicious. Visit 9/24/2019 - I am a life long lover of the Vinings area and frequent vistior of Rays on the River. I have always seen this place, but have never been despite always wanting to go. I ended up coming here because we had a law firm/doctor's office happy hour and mixer. The staff is very professional and knowledgable about their drinks and menu items. I recommend trying their Reuben sandwich and pairing it with their "Rumming with the Bulleit", which was by far one of the best drinks I have had in Atlanta. (See picture). This place is a hidden gem! My daughter and I recently ate here on a whim and everything we got was delicious. We shared queso and Guac for starters. The chips weren't my favorite (thin and crispy) but probably more authentic than what I like. My daughter got the open faced smoked chicken sandwich. The bread it was on was amazing. I had to ask our waiter what kind it was. He told us it was Mexican sweet bread baked locally and delivered to them fresh. Yes! Sign me up. So good. Went with smokiness of the chicken really well. We dined in on a Friday evening. They were busy even around 9pm. Service REALLY sucks! First off, the host/manager is rude. We were waiting for our table and he had an unpleasant way of finger waving us to walk over to the host desk. Next, our waitress just did not care. She forgot part of our order and we had to remind her. Never bothered to fill water glasses. Finally, the valet here are so unrespectful. Took my my fiancée here last night for our anniversary ! We both loved it! It was our first time coming here as well. We ordered the queso for a starter then ordered the classic chill and the mix vegetables. For our main meal she ordered three different tacos steak , and two chicken. I had the pork carnitas and it was extremely under seasoned, no flavor what's so ever. My friend got the lamb chops with the sliced potatoes and cheese. Heads up: You're paying for the atmosphere when you come here, food is slightly better than average. I came here on a double date dinner and we sat outside by the water fountain. Super cute with elephant ear plants and hanging planters, definitely a vibe and one I plan to experience during brunch hours if I come again. There was a whole party of 15-20 women hootin and hollering for a birthday right next to us, but I guess the drinks were kicking in because we didn't even mind and started hootin and hollering ourselves having a grand ol time catching up.... so moral of the story: order the drinks. They were on point! A variety of cocktails to choose from and with fresh fruits, even the Shirley temple was a perfect mix. As for the food... we got: - Snapper Ceviche (not pictured): Tastes fresh! We really liked this! - Steak Tacos, medium rare: steaks were good, but the tacos overall were a bit dry and could have used a little sauce or something wet to compliment it. $5/ea - Lobster Sandwich: My friend liked it and it was supposed to come with hush puppies, but they'd run out or something so instead came with fries. He didn't care too much for the fries. - Paella: This dish came with chicken which was tender and seasoned well, clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp with tails, and sausage... all of which I really enjoyed! The Spanish rice came in a soupy sauce that was flavorful. I'd get it again, but for lunch. While it was tasty, not worth the nearly $30 for dinner prices. - Crab Enchiladas: Same for the crab enchiladas, not worth $30! I actually didn't think this was as flavorful at all. The enchiladas were indeed stuffed with crab, but it could have been seasoned or buttered up a bit more in my opinion. This came with rice and beans. Pretty standard. My partner ordered this and while he enjoyed it, said he wouldn't order it again. Overall it was a great place to meet up with friends which I noticed seemed to be the usual crowd with most tables being in groups of four to whole party size, so in that sense it seems to be a good spot for drinks and catching up but also I'll only come here for lunch or order smaller portions, tacos, or sandwiches if I come again for dinner because an $80 tab for just two entrees felt a bit excessive for a Monday night dinner, just my opinion. read more
