My guy and I were the only people at the restaurant so I became skeptical about eating here but than I remembered it was still early. Ordered a mango margarita, loved it and decided to stay. Wings for an appetizer, they were okay. Good but nothing to rave about. My meal was garlic shrimp with rice and beans - good, the sauce was done right. I wish the shrimp was cooked a tad bit more for my liking but nonetheless it was good. My date ordered salmon with garlic sauce (garlic lovers here) and that was slamming! Decided to try this place because they have a variety of flavors of mojitos and frozen drinks. The place was nicely decorated and they took precautions with keep everyone safe (temperature check, wearing masks and social distancing). The drinks were good! Ordered the frozen coconut mojito on a pineapple and also the frozen passion fruit mojito, both were so good and refreshing. We also ordered from the appetizers, the canasteras rellenas. The food, at least the appetizers, disgusted me. I honestly didn't realize until after because here's the trick. The drinks are amazingly strong, so by the time you get the food you don't give a shit or realize the crap you're eating. Ceviche was not cooked, and yes I'm Peruvian, I know ceviche is raw. BUT I took pictures and was wondering why it tasted weird and my shrimp was still Grey lol. Don't get the Tostones with shredded chicken and cheese. DISGUSTING. But I legit wanted to throw up after. The arepitas with hogao were meh, not much flavor. My boyfriend steak had good flavor, lots of fat in it though. He got a sirloin and it wasn't cooked to his liking either. I will say I did enjoy the snapper I got. It was cooked well. There was something off about the clams, which were nasty. The sauce they serve it with was good though. I know people love this place, it has beautiful outdoor seating, great with covid protocol. Each secluded seating area has hand sanitizer stations. And for a place that gets crowded I would feel safe eating there. HOWEVER I will not be going there expecting good food, maybe just for drinks and fries I don't know. We waited a while for the food to come out and our appetizer came out at the same time as our main course. The churrasco was flavored well but extremely fatty. The beans were horrible. Absolutely no flavor. The Maduros were completely burned to a crisp. The fajitas mixto was room temperature as opposed to is a sizzling fajita plate. It also came with very small street taco discs rather than fajitas. The guacamole appetizer was really good. The burger sliders were over cooked and hard as helll! We walked into this restaurant because of the outside decor. It was just beautiful from outside and we just made a quick decision to head right in. Luckily, we got seated right away and there was no wait time. My favorite drink and food about this place- I loved their peach mojito, chicken wings, and empanadas. We ordered three things from the appetizer menu: canasticas rellenas, guacamole with plantain chips, and a new dessert tapas that was sweet plantains stuffed with cheese and raspberry sauce. We visited two nights so far and they had all night drink specials both nights with $2 tacos/$5 margaritas Tuesday night, $5 mojitos (all flavors!) Wednesday night. The tacos were very good, but there was a sauce on it making it too spicy for me. They had great flavor - I tried both chicken and beef. The next night I tried original, blue and strawberry mojitos. Food that night- the Entraña (grilled fajita skirt steak), rice, beans and plantains. All soooo good. What I liked best about the drinks was that they use real fruit juices and infusions for their cocktails. They are sweetened by plain sugar or sugar cane and not just mixers with artificial flavors. The flavor on every that comes out of this kitchen or bar is nothing short of amazing. The service is also very good and the staff are warm and welcoming. Every one makes you feel at home. Found a mojito place in Queens! They're rightfully named b/c they have the biggest variety of flavored mojitos and best tasting mojitos I've ever had! Its a bit small on the inside (cute for dates) but they have a very pretty outdoor seating setup. We ordered the chaufa mixto (fried rice, shrimp, chicken, beef, eggs and sweet plantains) A chicken quesadilla (comes w guac and sour cream on the side) I ordered the Maduro relleno. This is a plantain, filled w your choice of shredded meat (I chose chicharron) and mozzarella cheese. My drink was the frozen mojiguanabana mojito ! (tart and sweet!) We sat outside in a closed environment as there was no space indoors, which had a space heater (nice touch!). The food is on the pricier end, so I chose only a drink and entree. I got a passion fruit mojito and a grilled chicken dish with a salad and maduros on the side. The grilled chicken was tasty, and made for great leftovers the next day. The passion fruit mojito, was probably one of the tastiest mojitos I've ever had. It was tangy, sweet, and STRONG. Will definitely have to come back to try their unflavored variety as well. We came here to check out their outdoor seating because they made a nice section with lights and decorations a few months ago. They do have a nice setup, but technically most of their outdoor seating is indoors with a door to each "room" and only about 25% of uncovered outdoor space. That being said they did have one little section that was pretty close to 50% open. I ordered the sangria which was pretty tasty, but the pricing was set up weird. You end up paying more per ounce if you order the larger size! Get the smaller size of all of their drinks, it's more bang for your buck. I ordered the chicken empanadas which were amazing! Giving 3 stars because shrimp al ajillo was good but otherwise, I wouldn't be going back. We got the white rice and plantains as sides (other sides include salad, beans, etc) and there wasn't anything special about it, I would say it was actually super average :( not worth $20 at all.... (an order of Shrimp al ajillo comes with 8) I will say though, the garlic and oil were good and I put it in my rice/used it as a dip with gauc. We also got the plantain chips and guac to start, and they are generous with the guac they give. It more than enough for the amount of chips, and the presentation of it was pretty. We found this outdoor aesthetically pleasing place as we were walking on Northern Blvd. looking for dinner options. They have this absolute lovely outdoor setup. The weather was also incredible as it usually is during the fall season. Customer service is great here! The food was delicious. I had the entrana steak with plantains and vegetables. My husband had the Hawaiian chicken dish with tostones and mash potatoes. My entree was perfect. My husband did like the pineapple chicken. He mentioned that the sauce was too overpowering and it felt like too much. Other than that, great experience at this establishment. I would recommend and visit again. Parking in the area is pretty awful, particularly at night. However, this day was easy peasy for us. I would recommend to look on the side streets. read more

The drinks were good but a little sweet ( the blue mojito and passion fruit ). On the other hand, the strawberry margarita was made perfectly. So I came by Friday night, outside eating area was very nice and welcoming. I had ordered a Blue mojito 16oz which was very strong but worth my money. I highly recommend the Shrimp with coconut sauce (if you like seafood) as an appetizer. Main entree was delicious as well and I wish i remembered my waitress name but excellent service! Thank you I will be coming back! Only downside is we were told the wait is about 30mins and it actually took over an hour to be seated. We sat inside (were told due to weather we couldn't be seated outside (cloudy not even cold ,but ok) ordered an appetizer coconut shrimp 6 pieces and two drinks one virgin one cocktail. After I paid my check i was asked if everything was ok because "service tip was not included " I explained how we had been waiting and was given a lousy explanation as how he had the other table order alot of drinks and how the other staff called out yet the other waitress still on the phone on what sounded like a personal phone call . To sum things up i basically decided to order food delivery ,don't know why I didn't just do that to begin with .I would not recommend anyone this place ,honestly uber eats gave far better service than this place read more

The calamari was good, the shrimp quesadillas had a creamy cheesy taste to it which was really good we ended up ordering another round. The shrimp tacos were good too. The guacamole is really good I recommend it as well although I feel like it can come with more plantain chips that's my recommendation to the restaurant. The amount of plantain chips wasn't enough for the amount of guacamole they serve. Just like last time our bill wasn't bad at all. Two guacamole's, two shrimp quesadillas, tacos, empanadas, two entrees, 18 mojitos (yes 18 we came for mojito night on Wednesday $5 all night) split amongst 6 people came out to $44 per person what a deal!
