Now in full disclosure, I did pu up to this small shopping plaza, prime time lunch and someone did pull out after a few minutes. Walking in, I liked the simple and comfortable ambiance. I got in line and asked tge gentleman his opinion on should I go with the plate or get the Cuban sandwich. He suggested the lunch plate and proceeded to give me a sample of the roast pork and vata frita and samples of the choice of rice. What amazing service. I went with the roast pork and it was amazing. I mean, seriously amazing. Do not sleep on this amazing gem. It definitely earned five stars.

The potato salad was typical, but delicious with a nice amount of potatoes. The smoothie came before the Cuban sandwich. It almost tasted like mango lassi, but a bit more icy. It tasted natural and flavorful though. The sandwich came 5 minutes later, and it was quite hot in temperature. However, the flavors were missing. The bread was a bit bland, but it was soft. The pork looked to be pressed, but it tasted good. The ham tasted like regular supermarket quality. There weren't many pickles in my sandwich, but I was able to taste the mustard and melted cheese inside. I honestly ate the insides and left quite a bit of bread. There was no atmosphere other than the typical mall food court. There wasn't much of a crowd and the mall looks like it is dying. Even though I didn't care for the Cuban sandwich, the mango smoothie and potato salad was good. Thus, I will round up to 4 stars. Else, it would have been a 3.75 if decimals were allowed in ratings. I would visit and order again, but only the smoothie and it was natural and had various flavors at a reasonable price.

It was unappetizing chunks of fatty, tough, sinewy meat, unpleasant and salty. Impossible to chew and swallow. The side dishes were an insult to Cubans everywhere - flavorless mojo with boiled yuca and red beans that were mostly watery bean juice and a few red beans. The pork tamale had no flavor and the meat was fatty pork that the cat had difficulty chewing with her fangs. Obviously all the good reviews on Google are fake or people in this ridiculous town have no clue what comprises real Cuban food. It was some of the worst food I've had in this burg and that's going some.

Surprised the lady behind the counter didn't try to convince me to change my choice of meat. We'll probably go back for breakfast but will definitely avoid ordering that strange bacon. My take... last weeks beans and rice are getting a full new seasoning bath to cover up the re-cooked, overcooked beans that they serve me this week. Not cool!. Just because the health department allows them to reserve those beans for 10 days straight doesn't mean they should. Server brought me the wrong sandwich, I told her but I let it ride. She didn't offer to reorder correct sandwich. That deer in the headlights look made me feel like I dint want her to lose her job. The tacos were not seasoned, like none. The shells were limp. The last two times we visited the fries and waffle fries were barely warm. They need not do this to people. Pre cooking potatoes is not good business. We didn't get the wings this time because last two times they were severely overcooked and dry. The time before that they were perfectly supreme. There is no consistency here. If you want a cold beer, get it in the big glass. I don't know what's up with that. Maybe they only keep the big glasses cold and not the small ones but those smaller glasse go hot fast

This is the place for highs and lows in the same visit. Have been there twice now, and will return, but really they need to work on a number of problems. On the high side, it is a large, noisy (ok, maybe low for that), barn of a place which is nicely decorated. The live entertainment was quite good and not boomingly loud. An excellent place for group fun with inexpensive food. They have a fairly long gluten free menu, too. Every server we've had has been upbeat and competent. I've enjoyed the somewhat bland pasta Alfredo and the Mojojo burger which came out quite undercooked but within my personal range. On the low side, the aforementioned gluten free menu is nothing more than a crumpled, tattered and dirty piece of copy paper pulled out of the server's order book. The onion rings quite overdone, but the main problem was they were not only small but only six of them were served. Desserts are huge (and they stick many extras spoons in the dish which make it socially unacceptable not to share); but last night my ice cream and brownie was presented almost totally melted! That never should have gotten out of the kitchen, especially after being left under the heat lamps until someone got around to delivery. But when brought immediately to her attention our server was aghast at the melted plate and ordered another. Unfortunately, although re-dos should be placed at the head of the kitchen queue, it took another 20 minutes for it to show up. At least the ice cream was cold and intact this time! IMHO they need to get management to stop partying with their friends and pay attention to the little things; I'm sure there are many more problems, and worse ones, than we experienced. The place has lots of promise but needs a firmer hand in the delivery of the overall product. read more

We had a great time, as usual, at Mojo Grill! The atmosphere as and decor are just fun and incredible. Everywhere you look there is something cool. Our group sat in the Elvis Room near the front. It is a great space for meetings up to 20 folks. The life-sized Elvis is unusual. The food here has a certain slant that is so different from other restaurants. Our server, Nicole, was attentive and fast. The pulled pork was tender, juicy and had just enough seasoning to be a favorite for our group. The beans and rice were perfect and plentiful. The queso and pico dips for the large nacho chips were fresh and flavorful. Yum!! Check out my pics! We'll be back again! The rolls and their butter were fabulous as was their onion fritters and short rib pasta. Service was great and the restaurant was a nice comfortable temperature. I'd go back but would skip the salmon!
