Did NOT like it at all! The wings were still pink inside and the grilled skin had a rubbery like texture. The cornbread taste like pencil shavings. The coleslaw was nothing but shredded or diced cabbage that seem to missed the main ingredient mayo or some kind of slaw mix. The corn was the only tolerable edible. I ordered thorough Ubereats so I would say the service was about average in terms of wait and delivery time. Mostly likely I wouldn't eat here again. The server was nice. We were charged for $16.50 for a plain burger minus a bun with only tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and onions. The waitress told me it could be made like that, but charged me for a BBQ BACON BURGER after explaining I had food allergies which is why I could not order the BBQ Bacon Burger. If I would have known that I would have ordered that and given the bacon to my husband. My husband had their chicken dinner and hated the baked beans and the Mac n Cheese was okay. The burnt ends appetizer was actually good and the burger was good. I will have to find another place to eat when visiting Fleming Island. Since I hadn't been there in a few years, it was definitely time to go back. The onion rings are delicious and HUGE! They are double-breaded and served with buttermilk ranch dressing. One of the standout items on their menu is a sandwich called "The Smitty." This impressive sandwich is packed with beef brisket, smoked sausage, cheddar cheese, mustard sauce, onions, and pickles. It delivers an incredible BBQ flavor in every bite. I particularly enjoy the flavor of their brisket! It was a great visit, and not much has changed. It still has good food and even better service. The food here is consistent and always fairly decent. I think the prices aren't bad either. The service was friendly and attentive when we visited last and we were seated promptly, despite it being lunchtime on Saturday. The booths aren't the most comfortable, but they're not bad for two people. We enjoyed our pulled pork and smoked chicken with various sides. The cheese grits were pretty tasty and I'd recommend them over the coleslaw I picked as a side dish. I think using new "real" plates (rather than the old blue melamine ones they've got) would go a long way towards improving my impression of this place. Since we had never tried it before, we ordered the whole hawg so we could try a lot of different things. We also got side salads, green beans and coleslaw as well as burnt ends. Brisket, dry but flavorful Turkey, moist and tasty Chicken, skin was tough and rubbery, good flavor in the meat. Ribs, tough but tasty Sausage, great flavor and snap Pulled pork, delicious Burnt ends, my favorite!! Stopped in for dinner with a friend and we decided on BBQ. I'm tired of pulled pork so was excited to go to Mojo's because I've been to the one in Avondale years ago and thought it was good. For the time we went in, there was hardly any one there and made me worry that the area had given up on this location or something else was going on in the town. The location is nice next to the theater and some other restaurants. Inside was very roomy and clean. Our appetizer was the fried pickles [no picture sadly] very good! They were well seasoned plus thick and crispy. I would get this again. The Brunswick stew was nice and thick; however, it being a BBQ place they had to put their take on it and it was a little salty with the shredded BBQ mixed in. The jalapeno cornbread that came with it was amazing; I would just order a side of this to go with my bbq versus the hardly toasted bread. My friend got the burnt ends with Mac&Cheese and collards. The sides were delicious, but the actual burnt ends looked amazing but were ICE COLD according to my friend. I got the BBQ Reuben which had nice thick cuts of brisket and slaw; it did need some Mojo Sauce to improve the sandwich. I didn't like that the brisket was trimmed cause my last bite of each half the sandwich had HUGE pieces of fat. Wished they put more of the mac in the on your plate, it was very rich and creamy. The service was great, but whoever is at the pass between the kitchen and dining area needs to check the food better, especially if the dining room isn't busy IMHO. read more

Hubbs had the catfish dinner, he says it was "ok" kiddos had ribs and they ate them so I think they were just fine for a couple of teens tastebuds. Several "staff" members roaming around and chit chatting but nobody waited on me. The food came out in less than 5 minutes (you make your own judgement on that). Collard greens and black eyed peas tasted fresh and homemade. The half rack of ribs were tasty but on the tough/chewy side. The tab for half rack of ribs, two sides and a Diet Pepsi....$27.90!!! I don't get down this way much but next time I do, I won't be eating at MOJO's where the motto is "Be Nice or Leave"...so I did. read more

But the star of the show for my money was the Onion Rings. Wait, let me give them their due: The OMYGODNION RINGS. Remember all those times you've ordered the onion rings at other places and you've been lucky to get four or five onion rings? Well, brethren and sistren, MOJO is clearly on a mission to address that crime against NomNom Time. The four of us requested two orders of Onion Rings and Holy Toshiro Mifune each plate had at least eight rings and these were monstrously huge rings in a loaf of batter! I wept (metaphorically). Now, the Texas Toast was a bit of a letdown, but maybe they're a work in progress. Ordered food today for a team luncheon. I had nine separate orders many of which had special requests involved. Mojo had everything prepared perfectly. I had to wait a few minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready because the person helping me checked the order and thought something didn't look right and rather than send it with a less than perfect product he took the time to correct it. I wish more restaurants would take this approach when something just doesn't seem right. I personally ate the Mojo Club sandwich (I honestly only ate half of it before being full) with a side of collard greens. I was extremely happy. The only issue with this experience is that we still have 4 1/2 hours before the end of the work day and everyone is full and sleepy, but that's an issue issue not a mojo, it's a testament to the quality. read more

I have been to this Mojo's many times. The quality of food here is phenomenal. I've tried many dishes here, but the brisket is amazing! The turkey breast is good, also. I absolutely love the eyecatching art!! The music is befitting of the ambience. The reason I didn't give a 5 is: 1. our table was dirty when we were seated (there was only one other table occupied when we arrived) 2. when we walked in, we stood there about three-four minutes before we were noticed/seated. Went with a group of 7 last night for dinner and Mojo's did not disappoint! From the start, we were greeted and helped by a young man who immediately started putting a table together for our group. But while we waited for him to do that, we were greeted by two other ladies in less than a minute asking us if we had been helped as well. Ms Nina was our waitress and she was just phenomenal and extremely patient with us the entire time. We had a few that were unsure about what they wanted to eat, but Ms Nina made sure not to pressure us or linger. She tended to us so well and made sure we had everything we needed. I had the pulled pork, collard greens, grits and a piece of my friend's sliced brisket and it was all so good! Portions were very generous in my opinion and just about everyone went home with a take home box. We even had a little with us that was by far the chattiest of the group and Ms Nina was so nice to even chat with her too LOL! My friend and I were visiting from out of state, but Mojo's absolutely has been our best meal by far on this vacation! Side note...that sweet tea was on point! They don't serve sweet tea where we live and being from the south, it just really made my night. We got there right after they opened for the day, and were the only customers for most of the visit. They were extremely unprepared, didn't have any silverware when we got our appetizers and had to run around to find some. They burnt the appetizer the first time and had to remake it. Drinks sat for a while before being refilled, despite being the servers only table. The salad my fiancé got had FROZEN lettuce, that became wilted and gooey after he started eating. The server just said "yeah we keep it on ice" and that was it. A few days ago my wife and i were treated to dinner here. I got the shrimp and grits, with sides of mashed sweet potatoes, jalapeno corn bread and a salad. My wife ordered the buttermilk fried chicken with sides of black eyed peas and mac n cheese. The service was very good and the place was clean. We went with a large group but still the food came out in a decent time. My shrimp and grits came with mushrooms and onion on top which was new to me but still very good. Both my sides were very good as well. My wife said the chicken and mac n cheese was very good, but the black eyed peas were salty to her. We had a good time that night as there were 16 of us and everyone seemed pleased with what they ordered. We plan to come back and will recommend it to others. read more

This is my go-to Mojo's. While Mojo's #4 is my favorite, I go to this location more frequently. It's located near the Movies - so it makes an easy before or after meal spot. It's tucked into a strip that it shares with other restaurants, but it stands out for the quality and service. Each meal I've had here have always been great. My standard is Burnt Ends (best part of the brisket) & a salad with bleu cheese. Never looks like it's gonna be enough, but always proves to be more than I needed. Their bleu cheese dressing is creamy and delicious. Another favorite is their wings - smoked first for flavor & tenderness, then flash fried to make them crispy! I enjoy almost all of Mojo's sauces - they all have a distinctly different taste (most places they seem to have one sauce & build the rest from that). Sides at Mojo's are pretty awesome and while tempted to go for a "veggie plate", why would anyone do that at a barbecue place! While doing some Holiday errands my wife and I stopped here for a snack and a drink as a reward for enduring all the chaos of the holidays. First of all our server Becca noticed our state of mind and suggested a prescription, a "Staci's Huckleberry Mojito" and for me a "Painkiller" cocktail. We had a taco bar delivered for a wake after a funeral and the food was plentiful, delicious and the delivery and setup was so smooth!

I went in around four in the afternoon and I was one of three guests at the time. The place was dead other than employees passing the time. I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with fries. It came out in less than two minutes. This is my go to sandwich at Mojos btw; I've had it a few dozen times. Well it was horrible. Full of huge fat chunks which made the bread soggy and inedible. I picked through the meat and didn't eat the bread. The fries were good at least. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple drinks, my choice was a White Russian. It was pure white and tasted like nothing but cream; no taste of vodka or coffee liquor. It was bad enough to send back but I never do that so I drank my one drink and called it quits. This was my first bad experience at a Mojos and I've been to them all at this point. I won't be going back to this location again.
