I went for the first time today and signed up for 100+ minute massage and 60 minute facial and walked away, not totally impressed. The girl who checked me in was on the phone constantly with customers scheduling appointments so I finally had to interrupt her to ask her if I could please go to the restroom while she was processing my paperwork. she did apologize and I appreciated that. I got my robe and sandals. And followed the rules that say NO Cell phones! The sauna is nice. But the bathrooms are shower offer No privacy. Both are open to the hallways which us really awkward and the bathroom doors are open at the bottom so they provide little privacy if you have anxiety about having people hear you at the toilet. The Omni hotel is huge but this spa is tiny. My first massage was ok but she didn't transition to the end well and never prepped me for when she was added heat. Luckily, I was never burned but it was really hot! Facial was ok but again esthetician left lip peel on my lips and at the end I had to ask for help because she didn't take it off my lips. Gross taste - not cool She handed me a dirty mirror in a dark room asking me how I liked my face. I had no idea how to answer that question. I told her I needed my glasses and she just stood there so I got up out of my chair to get them and then she offered to get them for me! What???? During my stay stay at the OMNI in Fort Worth, TX, I enjoyed my time at the spa. In fact, I went every single day that I stayed! You can find my review of the OMNI hotel amongst their reviews. The ambience, the staff, and the attention to the needs of every customer kept me coming back. The staff are just as peaceful as the ambiance. The spa is located on the 3rd floor, right across from the gym so that is convenient. It looks small but it is not small on decor and ambience. Right away, I was greeted with a fresh scent and lovely greetings. They have lots of candles and lotions right there, on hand, in the front area. I went to inquire about the services and they gave me a tour, poured me water, and made me feel right at home. I decided on a massage and sauna time, just to try it out. The hideaway room was sooo inviting. I arrived early, they verified my registration to the hotel, then got me a locker. The locker had a locked locker prepared for me, with a robe and slippers inside. Yasssss!!!! for the win!!!! I looked over the "locker room", there I found hair brushes, mouthwash, q-tips, AND even makeup remover. Yes, ladies, makeup remover and lotion was on hand. What an attention to detail. There werw fresh towels throughout the spa so and everything was so fresh. I made my way to the "hideaway room", I was early so I hung out for about an hour and a half. It was what caught my attention in the first place. There was soft music playing as soon as I entered the spa, the lighting was very dim in the hideaway but still well lit. There was a nice aroma, I was relaxed for sure, no one bothered me. The massage was much needed. After my scheduled massage, I went into the sauna. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!! Fresh towels, temperature on the wall, water bucket for hot stones, etc. It was peaceful. But!!! it was the "cool off" area that made me smile. The cool off area had fresh ice water and cool towels. There was also fresh dry towels in this small area as well. I stayed in the sauna about two hours. I worked up quite a sweat, so luckily there was a shower. Of course, the shower was spacious and had everything I needed. Fresh towels that were warm and fluffy, soap, lotion, razors and shaving cream, and a blow dryer. The mirror in the bathroom had a rear mirror attached so I was able to do my hair there (plenty of outlets). I enjoyed this spa and I felt right at home. The staff was helpful and friendly but didn't bother me at all. If you want a tranquil and lovely experience visit the spa, I did everyday. read more

The amenities of this spa are great: sauna, shower, hideaway room. I got a 50-minute full body massage... well, what was supposed to be one anyway. I get in and she asks what my problem areas are but does not ask anything else such as what pressure I prefer. We get started and instead of a massage, she performs a full fascia release physical therapy session on me. It was PAINFUL. Furthermore, she did not massage any other part of my body except the two problem areas I gave her. Today (the next day) I am in so much pain and can barely move my shoulders or neck even though I have rested and hydrated. I did not even get the service they charged me for. Very upset- will not be returning to this spa or recommending it to anyone else. read more

Mokara Spa is the spa in the Fort Worth Omni Hotel. My wife and I got separate treatments at Mokara as a gift and it turns out that her experience was much better than mine. The spa wasn't exactly what I was expecting but nonetheless nice. It's located on the third floor of the hotel which is also the conference level. I arrived early so I could take my time. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa is pretty typical with its blond woods, frosted glass walls and white stone floor...pretty standard. While I was waiting for my massage I waited in the Hideaway. The Hideaway is their relaxation room for those that are about to receive a treatment and for those that just finished one. There are about eight lounge chairs in the room where they offer you something to read and some water. It was kind of odd because there was no music and all the chairs face each other, and for those that were waiting for a treatment this is where they would discuss their treatment with the staff. It felt like a waiting room at the doctors office..."Mr. Jones!" Not too relaxing. While waiting I walked around the rest of the spa to see what else was available. There is access to the roof top pool and lounging area which you won't miss anything if you pass on. There is a sauna and showers available as well. The main reason I did not enjoy Mokara as much as I was anticipating was my massage. Although the review is for the spa and not so much the massage therapist but the therapy is really what makes the experience. I honestly could not wait for my massage to end. I took it that her feet hurt because she rolled around me on an office chair the entire time. During the massage I could hear all the road traffic and the 18 wheeler air breaks. It also seemed that she was reading from an instruction book...first, rub right shoulder with thumbs...second, stop...third, rub left shoulder with elbow...forth, stop. It wasn't too enjoyable. However, my wife did have a great massage and really enjoyed it. It just depends on who your massage therapists is that day. It seems like Mokara Spa just filled a need for the Omni. By no means do I frequent spas but Mokara is barely average. I'm sure if I had the therapist my wife did it would have been a much different review. read more

I get massages and facials every month and don't mind splurging in my skin/pampering. I tried this spa for both a massage and facial. 1. My massage was awful. She drilled her elbow into my back and didn't use her hands barely at all. This is not a common technique and was not relaxing. I asked her to ease up on pressure and thought she would use hands. No luck. 2. My facial was super basic and the products aren't as good as my products at home. I use ZO Skin products which is the number 1 regime recommended by most estheticians and all that I've encountered. She didn't even know what that was. I felt like I only got a few random products on my skin and nothing really came from my facial at All. 3. It's bright AF IN THERE. 4. I could hear cars and motorcycles wizzing by the whole time and it wasn't relaxing. 5. The whole experience felt veerrry novice especially for the price. 6. Crap products in shower like herbal essence body wash. Random wash cloth from another person. Two days later and I'm so bummed I had to write this review. read more

I received a call from the spa today (now over a week later) saying that someone turned in my sunglasses and that I could come pick them up. I got no apology for being told I must have been "confused and left the glasses somewhere else." I told the woman I would be by later this week to pick them up. After that the phone went dead. Front desk staff was super nice and very helpful. Spa is clean and overall nice but they need more space in changing room and lounge room. The lounge room (where you wait between services) is mixed (men and women) which is super awkward. There's no signs saying it's a quiet room so there's people in there being incredibly loud (not relaxing) and there's not enough seats for how many appointments they can book at a time. Each room is incredibly loud. The hallway is loud. The rooms are very bright, the shades do nothing. They put a cloth over your eyes but it doesn't actually cover your eyes... My massage therapist was awful. She didn't match each side and was all over the place. She focused heavily on the area I told her bothered me and didn't get to much else. I told her firm on pressure but in doing so she jerked me around with each motion... I am pregnant and the last thing I want is being shook all over the table. It's possible to apply firm pressure and not shake the person everywhere. Facial was awful. Painful and not relaxing at all. When I told the tech the extractions hurt she blew it off and said it's normal. I've had MANY facials and have never walked away with actual pain and huge red spots all over my face. Then she blamed it on my face saying "your pores are really clogged...." even if that's the case- it should never be painful to clean them. Front desk was really sweet and gave me a discount and apologized so I'm very grateful for that. Definitely won't return though. read more

Just had a facial with Kelsie; it was MAGICAL. I have sensitive skin and it looked dewy fresh when she finished, no redness or burning whatsoever. The best part was that she didn't talk about herself too much and she actually listened to my needs. Kelsie knew her products, too. Oh and by the way (2 1/2 years later)...I still have a scar on the side of my foot. So when I wear flip flops it looks awful. Just wanted to update everyone...that this is still the worst pedicure I have ever had. It also ruined pedicures for me. I am so nervous to let anyone touch my feet, it really stinks because I used to love just relaxing for a pedi. Not anymore. :( If you read a few reviews down, sounds like someone else got their foot knicked as well. The spa is inside the Omni Hotel on the 3rd floor. You are to arrive 15 minutes before your actual appointment to fill out paper work and undress. We arrived late due to heavier traffic than usual down town (graduation season ) What saved us was the valet they offer at the hotel and the Spa validates so that was a PLUS The spa is clean and gorgeous we did have a late appointment so there was 1 other couple there. The locker room is super small maybe can fit 6 people and it was awkward changing in there into our robes but we managed.. We did not get to enjoy the sauna but it looked relaxing. The lounging area is big and comfortable which is where you wait for your therapist to call you. We did arrive late to our appointment about 5-10 minutes after our appointment time I figured it was okay since they preceded with paperwork and our shoe size. What I didn't know was that they would short us our 50 minute massages which is understandable since I was late although I assumed I wouldn't be charged the full $250 for a couples massage had I known ahead of time I would have rescheduled the appointment for another day. The room we were getting a massage was not very relaxing because I felt like we were outside getting a massage .. We could hear cars, motorcycles ,horns etc!!!! After our massage they give us water and we go back to the lounge to enjoy Hot Tea EXCEPT there was no hot water. Housekeeping was walking around wrapping up the day and picking up Robes and basically cleaning everything so it felt like we needed to leave!! I addressed these issues to the front desk who was checking us out. At first she didn't know what to say but in the end she told me it was because I was late .. Ummmm okay !!! You should have told me I was not going to get my full service!! It was very expensive. What I found was a relaxing place to be an expensive stressful place. The most unprofessional moment was when I found out SABRINA who was the manager was on the register right next to us and heard the whole conversation and did not bother to look up and apologize or offer me some HOT TEA to go! I received a gift card from my husband for valentines day. I was exited to redeem it. Booked the 4 hr retreat which began with a massage. May have been the worst I ever received. The girl used very little oil during the whole massage it made it very uncomfortable throughout. She wasn't very good on top of everything. Not to mention it was very rushed. I guess the 50 minutes included 20 in the waiting area. Following this was an 80 minute facial. The facial was fantastic. After that was a mani/pedi very poor quality and unprofessional. I left the spa with nail polish on my skin on both hands and feet. It was a wasted 4 hours of my day off. Felt like it wasn't worth the $330 invested. Never again. I would recommend you never come here unless you like to over pay for less than good quality services. read more

There aren't many places in Fort Worth where you get the full spa feeling! The staff was welcoming and informative. The atmosphere is relaxing and serene. They are very accommodating. They have 5 headed showers, saunas, and everything you need from there: hair dryer, shampoo, lotion, hairspray, you name it and offer to get whatever they're missing! After dressing in a plush robe you go into a relaxation room that's peaceful and absolutely relaxing. There are snacks, fruit, tea, and fruit infused water. My husband and I were even brought complimentary champagne with strawberries to enjoy before our couples massage! We were both very satisfied with our massage and loved being in the same room. Mokara Spa was the little slice of heaven that this busy and very exhausted momma needed. From the moment I walked in I knew that I I'd chosen a very unique & classy spa. I'm in the health care field so as you can imagine I'm very particular about where I go. As I walked in I was greeted by front desk personal & the spa director, I felt as though they were truly concerned about making my day the best experience it could be. I was pleased that the questionnaire was short, sweet and to the point yet asked al the necessary questions that they needed to get a picture of who I am and what I was looking for. I was given a tour of the spa & it's amenities by a very professional & friendly spa director. I was shown the changing room which was very private, neat and clean. Next I was shown where the restrooms were which were also spotless and very clean. I was then shown the shower room which was relaxing, private and as a customer I noticed that we were provided w/the extra things needed to freshen up. I was also shown a nice hideaway also known as the sauna. Last I was shown a very cozy relaxation room . As I looked around I noticed that we were provided w/hot tea and refreshing fruit infused water. As I sat and relaxed awaiting my services I enjoined the peace and quiet, it definitely got me in the right mind set. I was greeted by Kelsey, she explained that she was going to taking care of me today. As I was walked back to the room where I'd be receiving my facial I noticed the smell of refreshing and relaxing aromas. I was pleased with the look and feel of the room, it was relaxing and inviting. Kelsey began informing me about the products she has chosen for me geared to my needs and wants. The aroma of the products she used were so pleasing and as someone w/very sensitive allergies mine weren't aggregated at all. After my facial Kelsey gave me a mirror to examine my skin closely, it was vibrant and youthful....needless to say I was very pleased. I was elated when I wasn't pressured to buy extra services or products. I was informed that if I was interested in any of the products used that they were readily available in the lobby for purchase. When I asked what she would recommend Kelsey gave me the names of the products, a brief description and informed me of why it would be best for my skin type. I honestly felt as though I was leaving looking 10 years younger. After relaxing in the sauna and showering I proceeded to the lobby. I was again greeted by the friendly staff on my way out who asked if there was any products I was interested in purchasing today. I informed them that I wouldn't be purchasing anything today but that I was very pleased w/the services provided and that I absolutely loved the products that were used on me. They gave me a very informative booklet of products sold and let me know if I had any questions to please let them know. I enjoyed my pedicure here. The spa has a great setting and the waiting room area is great. The one thing I noticed is that the robes are not meant for anyone plus sized...and there is not an abundance of seating. My pedicurist was very nice and did a great job.
