I wanted to drop Yelp a line again about Mold Eliminators and how things have recently changed in my opinion. Shortly after my first yelp review I was contacted by Ben Caine from Mold Eliminators and forgive me I don't exactly remember his title with the company, but my interaction with Ben was professional, articulate and intelligent. Ben apologized for Bill and Craig's extreme lack of business acumen and was completely willing to speak with me to hear about the problems and stated he wanted to learn from them and better his company. Ben was a breath of fresh air and all I could ask for. He was genuine in his concern for the clients and equally as genuine in wanting to better the crew to make sure the next client didn't have my experience. Ben held meetings with his staff and even implemented measures to improve communication between the company and client. Ben made a horrific experience palatable and even took monetary steps to make things better. Bravo to Ben, job well done. read more

A newly installed dishwasher leaked, basically flooding my house. I lost my kitchen, family room, master bedroom and master bathroom areas. The company that installed the dishwasher sent out another company that did great, but was not permitted to finish the job (by company that installed the dishwasher) nor did they rebuild all that was torn out. I was referred to Mold Eliminators, and they were great. They finished all up, worked with the company's insurance that caused the issue and put most of my house back. Bad situation, corrected and handled. Few minor hiccups, but nothing that is not expected on a construction project the size mine turned out to be. read more

It's tough writing a review about an event that no one wants to happen, and ultimately is a very bad situation. It is a company like Mirage Building Maintenance and Mold Eliminators that make it much easier to deal with these bad situations. A flood happened in my friends place, and being on a Saturday, was super stressed to find someone. The management company sent these guys. Oliver showed up exactly on time, and terribly empathetic and concerned about the situation and the condo being under water. He operated fast-quick and super efficiently in getting a team their to start clean up and drying out the place. He was also quick to start taking pictures to use with the insurance company. Ben Caine even took calls early on a Sunday to help with some issues that arose. Subsequently, each and every person dealt with at this company has been amazingly professional, and thus far done exactly what they said they would do, when they would do it. Keep in mind that we are not paying them, someone else is, and they are still treating us with utmost respect and concern. This speaks volumes about the service minded people working for this company. I would (and will) happily recommend this company from the experience thus far. I am sorry the other poster on yelp had issue, but even they were impressed with the efforts the company made to remedy the challenges encountered. We have been living in the same home for the past few years and a few weeks ago encountered some mold and were referred to the mold eliminators by a friend. Hands down the best recommendation ever!! Well I noticed an odor in my condo and everyone said it might be MOLD. So I googled " Mold " and several local businesses came up so I chose MOLD ELIMINATORS which was a good choice. Called for a FREE inspection and several hours later Craig showed up. Completely checked my condo with some fancy tester and found I was MOLD free. After having a mold issue in our bathroom, we called Mold Eliminators. The contractor, Oliver was amazing. He and his workers did a great job and provided a pleasant experience. Because of our interaction with Oliver, we decided to use the same company to do additional work; replacing plumbing and painting the back portion of our home. This turned out to be a HUGE mistake. The work began on June 17 and the new contractor, Bill soon became nonexistent on the job site. After the painters were a few days into the job Craig, the owner of the company, came by to do a walkthrough and noticed the poor workmanship and put blue tape all over the walls on areas that needed to be addressed. The painters simply got an attitude, pulled the tape down and ignored the problem areas. Craig also inquired whether or not we wanted to do patchwork on the walls, saying that it should have been done before the painting began, an option that Bill never gave us. We worked out an plan to patch the walls for an additional $800. The painters were unhappy that they had to go back and patch the walls and proceeded to do a substandard job on the patchwork. When painting continued the workers continued to do a very sloppy job, getting paint all over our toilets, floors, baseboards, countertops, etc. They also applied single coats of paint on many of the walls which allowed the previous paint colors to show through (see photos). We also discussed ordering tile for our shower with Craig, to replace what was removed during the mold removal. We found tile we liked and were informed by Craig that it was special order and would take 10 days. We had no problem with this, and three weeks later we still have no tile. After discussing some of our issues with one of the painters, he told us that he did not have to listen to us, and we asked him to leave our home. Craig and Bill came by for another walkthrough, and again Craig put tape over several problem areas that needed to be addressed. He brought out a new painter and told us that we would be shaking hands by the end of the day and the job would be complete. That was on a Friday. The lone painter did not finish and asked to come back Saturday. After Saturday he asked to come back on Monday. He canceled on Monday and Tuesday and rescheduled for Thursday. At this point, almost a month in to do a job that we were told would take three days, we told him not bother coming back. Craig then sent us an updated contract where he double charged us for work and tried to add an additional $800 for work that was supposed to be included in the original bid. After calling Craig to discuss these issues, he continually interrupted me and told me to calm down. His demeanor was extremely demeaning and disrespectful to the point that I ended up hanging up on him. I am extremely disappointed in the level of unprofessionalism and lack of workmanship displayed by Craig and his company. With the exception of our interaction with Oliver, this was an awful experience and would strongly advise not doing business with Mold Eliminators. At the one month mark the painting is not finished, the bathroom is unfinished, the tile has not arrived and our house is a mess because of it. I can only take so many excuses and actions speak much louder than words. Craig tells a good story but has no follow through. His company lacks integrity, accountability, workmanship, professionalism, respect and common courtesy. read more

I called yesterday to get a quote. They told me that it's free to come out and test,and see if I have it. The owner said if you do are you gonna want it fixed, and are you gonna hire me??? First of all duh yes I want it fixed. I'm like how much do you charge he said 1,500-2,000 per area. I said that's a lot. So I gave him my address, and he's like I'll be there between 9-10a.m. The following morning. Ok so ff to the next day no show, I call the guy Richard said he wrote in the notes that I don't have the money to pay. I'm like I never said that I don't have the money to pay, and call the guy, and have him call me back. Of course no call back. DON'T GO THRU THEM IT'S A RIP OFF! read more

I dealt mainly with Richard and Craig of Mold Eliminators. I initially found them on Yelp and I contacted Craig late one evening expecting to leave a voicemail as I had with several other companies at that time, but Craig picked up and less than an hour later we were meeting by a property that had extensive water damage. The water leak had also caused great damage to a downstairs property and having been through disaster after disaster during my 8 years living in the United States I was absolutely at my wit's end. There was tens of thousands worth of damage that I couldn't possibly afford due to the work of a previous contractor and some shoddy hoa plumbing before I moved in. Navigating all of this from moving out tenants to dealing with insurance companies wouldn't even have been possible without Craig's help. He not only completed the mold remediation and rebuild of my property within a little over a week but he liaised with SEVERAL insurance companies to help me gain the proper coverage that had previously been denied AND liaised with the downstairs owner and tenants about the damage to their property and is about to start work on theirs also. He gathered a very efficient crew who helped me finance things such as a new AC unit and kept the costs incredibly low. I still need to recover costs from parties such as the hoa and a previous AC company but without this company's help I would have lost everything. All over again. He listened to me and literally guide me through the entire process step-by-step. I feel incredibly lucky to have found this company. If I could give this company a zero, I would. They came to my house to do an estimate because the bathroom upstairs leaked and damaged the ceiling of my downstairs bathroom. Apparently, the damage was not "big" enough for them to be interested in this project, since they suggested to my boyfriend that if any person in that house had lung disease, not to use that bathroom and just leave it as is, since the damage is not too much and it is just exterior mold and it would cost a lot of money for them to repair that. We are not the ones paying to fix it, so we told them we do not care how much it would cost, we just wanted it fixed, especially because I suffer from asthma, and we just moved into this house and I don't want to have problems in the long run. After a week+ of waiting for a phone call or estimate, my boyfriend decided to call. The secretary picked up, put him on hold, and then said that she will pass the message because apparently there was no estimate done and they were real busy at the moment with some big commercial project. That was another week ago. They didn't even have the courtesy to notify us that they were unable to help us or that they needed more time or anything. What a waste of time. read more

My family was planning on tiling to save money and we discovered mold. I called and they had someone over within a few hours and workers on the scene the next morning to eliminate the problem. Thomas, the drywaller, was especially awesome to work with and even helped me fix another crack in my wall that was not related to the call out reason. They also referred me to the a talented tile guy who was a joy to work with and was an artist! It looks amazing! THESE FOLKS ARE HONEST! My husband and I were renovating a house and ran into a bit of mold. I had 3 companies come out to do estimates. Mold Eliminators did a test right no the spot and told me that the mold was not toxic and surface level. The showed me the test results and explained how the test worked. Based on how thorough they explained the test to me, I was able to look up the info later on my own to confirm all that they had said was true. They didn't charge me for the mold test or to walk around my house and expect every suspicious corner. These folks honestly saved my thousands of dollars. The other contractors came out, speculated, didn't test anything and then recommended I take a claim out on my homeowners insurance. Don't get me wrong, I know that some mold is incredibly dangerous. However, some mold isn't and is a money making skem for those that don't know one way or another. GO WITH MOLD ELIMINATORS if you want someon you can trust. I called these guys because I had a leak in my bathroom water all over. When I called the told me they would be there in 30 minutes, and were right on time. I've noticed water came out of the water heater pressure valve pipe into the washer and dryer drained. I thought the pressure valve is leaking so I called the previous water heater Tech. that came to flushed the water heater and let him know the issue and he told me to call Plumbing, he said it is not the water heater pressure valve. I called a few Plumbing company, hoping that someone can stop by and check the pressure valve, and I received a call from Craig. I explained to him the issue and he told me that he will stop by to check the valve. Craig show up at my house after 7pm, he checked the pressure valve and fixed it without a charge. He shows me what to do if there is water leakage. I asked him if I need to replace the water heater or the pressure valve, he said "no" the tank is still good.
