I got married May 2010, and I had purchased a sample Amsale dress and was a bit scared because I wanted it cleaned and the material is very delicate, but they assured me it would be like new--they were right!!! It looked beautiful!!! I also had my alterations done here. The seamstress basically had to opened the front seams, the bonening inside, and customized the dress for me. She did such an amazing job - it looks like the dress was made to fit me!! Even if you have just simple alterations to make on your wedding dress, I would recommend them. One of the best tailors in the area. I needed a suit altered significantly and needed it in 6 days...not only did the suit come out great, it was ready on the promised date down to the hour (I was flying out that afternoon). I went to several other tailors, but was nervous they might damage this expensive suit...I was quickly put at ease at Moline Kronberg by the owners. I was told by other tailors and the shop I got the suit from that they would need at least 3 weeks for the amount of altering I required. The alterations weren't cheap, however, I would have needed a new suit if they couldn't alter it...the came in less than 8% of the cost of the suit. Really came through for me in a crunch. I am very familiar with most merchants in town, shop locally, and believe after a decade of creating a relationship, my pinion is fair minded. I respect, admire and like the owners at Moline. They are professional, their store is immaculate and their service is top notch. Andrea, the manager is the true asset of this establishment! She is professional, respectful,and friendly always. I am a new customer of Moline-Kronberg dry cleaners - I used them to get my bridesmaids' measurements and to have alterations done on my wedding dress. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My girls - all different body types - got measured perfectly. I took a leap of faith and entrusted them with altering my wedding dress (David's Bridal wasn't an option since they didn't do great alterations on a bridesmaid dress I had to wear for a friend's wedding... It was still long and huge). I could tell great care and attention were given to my dress is the stunning results. After having my wedding dress originally altered from another place, I'm so glad I found Moline Kronberg to "clean up" the incomplete work from the first go-around. They were honest about what they could and couldn't fix but in the end, it was absolutely perfect. I even asked them to add buttons to the back, and even though I didn't supply enough buttons, they still managed to make it work and have it come out beautifully. I came here to have my wedding dress cleaned and preserved. I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism. My gown was placed in a preservation box which they opened for me to inspect the gown. They wash their hands and provide you with a pair of white gloves to inspect the gown in order to prevent even any oils on hands from getting on the newly cleaned dress. My dress was absolutely spotless. They give you detailed instructions for the storage and care of the dress upon pick up. All of this was done for a very reasonable price. I will highly recommend to everyone I know! read more

High price for bad service. My daughter picked her prom dress up, and I noticed a few days later that it had not been thoroughly cleaned. (There were deodorant stains at the interior.) When I brought the dress back, I was accused by the manager, Andrea, of wearing the dress again and bringing it back for a free dry clean. It was a hurtful and outrageous accusation. While she offered to clean the dress again at no charge, it wasn't worth the trip back to this distasteful establishment. With such a level of incompetence and no customer service skills, it's a wonder how they stay in business. read more

The staff at Moline-Kronberg was lovely and professional. I bought my dress at Saks and they recommend a mail-in service for cleaning, but after visiting Moline-Kronberg I decided to skip the Saks recommendation because M-K has a great reputation and the price was a bit more palatable. It's certainly still expensive, but when you spend so much on a dress, you want it handled properly. I'm more than happy with my decision to work with M-K. They were very honest when I brought my dress in for a quote, saying that the starting price would be lower because of the simplicity of my dress design (no beading, tulle, lace, etc) but because there were some heavy dirt stains on the bottom of my dress (my wedding was outdoors), that work would incur a charge. They stuck with their quote and didn't call with any increases or anything at all. The final result is beautiful, my dress looks brand new. They provide an archival box, which is meant to breathe and be opened at any time, along with a cloth covering for the box and white gloves to handle your dress with. I would gladly recommend M-K for any bride who wants their dress taken care of! read more

Don't trust them! They throw your belongings in the garbage!!! If I could give zero stars, I would! I went in to get an alteration for my wedding dress. The first day that I went I brought it in an original garment bag from the store it was bought at. I got fitted and was told to come again for the fitting. I went there the second time around for my final fitting, everything was still great. My dress fit me right and it was still in the same bag that I brought it in. I was told that they had to fix one more thing and to come back in few days to pick it up. As I arrived to pick up my dress, it was brought to me in a new garment bag which my dress didn't even fit into so they put a plastic bag at the train of my dress. But the bigger issue was that my original garment bag had the belt that the dress came with as well as the receipt for the dress inside of the pocket. The owner couldn't find my garment bag and said they threw it out. My wedding is two weeks away and now part of my dress is missing and which cannot even be replaced as BERTA the dress designer doesn't sell just that piece. The owner then accused me saying that the belt wasn't inside. She was very unprofessional even accused me saying that I didn't want my dress and that's pretty much why I'm complaining. Remind you my wedding is in two weeks and according to her I didn't want my dress. I've paid $800 for my alterations upfront as I trusted them due to the reviews I've read on here. The owner offered to make me happy by trying to duplicate the belt but how can u duplicate part of the dress that in store is sold for $10,000. I got the refund for the alterations which didn't make me happy as still part of my dress is somewhere in a dumpster. What type of "business" throws out property that belongs to their paid customer? I was told that I will get the same garment bag back as well as a duplicate of the belt and that they will call me the next day- two weeks later, never heard from them. read more

I brought a +/- 100 year old baptismal gown here that was severely yellowed and riddled with holes. We were hoping that it could be revived and look presentable, but M-K went ahead and made it look amazing. My wife and I could not believe the results. They took a few weeks to carefully handle the old fabric piece by piece and took such care in restoring the gown to its former glory. I can't say enough good things about Moline-Kronberg. They saved all my white shirts that have turned yellow under the arm. I had tried other cleaners but was told the stains can't be removed. With Moline, they look like new. I can tell a lot of care went into these clothes by the way they are packed. This place is terrible! Stay far away. My fiancée and I went here to have her wedding dress altered and they really screwed it up. The hem is a half inch too long, they were supposed to add things to keep the bra straps in place and they didn't, The neckline is supposed to sit flat against her skin and it doesn't at all, and they got a stain on her dress. On top of all this Loyda and everybody else we dealt with there are fake, rude, talk down to you, and they are way overpriced! They make all these promises and say that they are masters at what they do and come up way short of that. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. We wish we had. Her dress is now at another alterations place trying to be fixed. The place that it's at now who IS a professional and master said that we were way overcharged and that they somehow messed up a simple alteration and she is going to try and fix what they screwed up. But they screwed up so badly that she isn't sure if it is fixable at this point. read more

Moline Kronberg Dry Cleaners is amazing! I cannot say enough good things about them. I brought a family baptism gown that was over 60 years old to them to restore. I wasn't even sure if they would be able to restore it because it was in such terrible shape, and honestly I was a little worried since it was such an old gown and made of delicate material. To my amazement, they made the gown look like new and I worried for nothing. Not only that, it was done quickly! I brought it on a Tuesday, needing it for that Sunday, and was able to pick it up by Friday! They even called to let me know that they were able to clean it and it was turning out great. The care they showed for this sentimental family gown was beyond what I expected and I am truly grateful. The customer service is great. I had my wedding dress cleaned, repaired, and preserved here. They did an excellent job. The dress was a full length, Monique Lhuillier, duchess satin ball gown. The inside tulle layers and part of the inner train were torn from getting caught in my heels, and the bottom of the dress and train were very dirty from having taken photos in Central Park. However, it looked perfect after they were finished repairing and cleaning it. They also took the utmost in care in wrapping the dress and placing it in the preservation box. The box itself was a great size - small enough to fit in a closet or under a bed, but big enough that I'm not worried that the dress would crease. I ended up jostling the box a fair amount getting it into the car, but when I got home and opened it, the dress had not budged or creased at all. There was a pair of clean white gloves inside in case I need to handle the dress, and they gave me instructions for cleaning the outside of the box to extend the preservation. And, the women I interacted with were very professional and sweet. They answered all my questions, and I was very comfortable leaving the dress in their care. Highly recommend this company. (And, parking is available as an added bonus). read more

I dropped off my daughter's Christening gown last week for restoration. This is the same dress I wore and my mother wore for our christenings. It is almost 70 years old and was never stored properly so when I dropped it off it was very yellow. I was expecting to pick up a dress that looked the same, just neater with some of the seems reinforced and pressed. I knew this was a fragile dress and didnt think there was too much they could do. I could not believe my eyes when they brought this dress out! It was WHITE! I had no idea the dress was even white originally. I was floored at the results. The work they did was amazing. This dress looks as good as it did the day my mother wore it for her christening 70 years ago. You could tell they take pride in their work. The man I dropped it off with a week earlier came out to see my reaction and I'm sure he liked what he saw. This is an unbelievable place. I will definitely be coming back!
